Black Panther has made me so happy, great casting too. That was my most wanted MCU film and Marvel definitely delivered.

Now, how about that Ghost Rider...

As for the dick waving diversity contest; if you're going to count Black Adam, then you can start counting stuff like Gamora / War Machine / etc.

With WB publicly talking about finding a woman director for WW; that does make me think they might be trying to flat-out pander (why publicly announce that you're looking for a female director unless you are looking for good PR? Just hire one if you really want to bring a new perspective to the film); which worries me. I don't want diversity to be some kind of metric that ends up being gamified and then used to the letter of the metric rather than the spirit. Last thing I want is a 30 second scene in every movie with two women talking about the news so they can all pass the Bechdel test and then ignoring any development of said characters the rest of the movie.

Also, this is where I'll point out that Marvel's first comic movies were based around a black guy (who subsequently went sort of insane and got thrown in jail for tax fraud) and the trilogy thereafter. :-p

Captain Marvel being between Avengers: IW Part 1 and 2 makes sense if they intend to use her to bridge the gap between Earth Marvel and Cosmic Marvel. They're betting big on it by putting it in a July slot rather than a November slot.

Hyped for Black Panther.

That shirt on Chris Evans tells me Marvel understands their female demographic very, VERY well.

Im pretty sure some of DC dates floating around might be wrong, would have to think Justice League is the July film and Wonder Woman is November?

Ok, from watching the whole press conference and what Feige said about Thor: Ragnarok, it appears they're aware that Thor: The Dark World bordered on filler at times, in the sense that it was completely standalone (outside of an Infinity gem) and didn't really have any affect on the MCU.

He basically said that the way Captain America: The Winter Soldier was a Cap film, but also a pivotal film plot wise for the entire MCU and totally changed the status quo (also removing the notion that all the solo films had to be standalone), they want to do that for Thor: Ragnarok, and make it have far reaching consequences for the MCU.

Which is exactly the way to go. It's, you know, Ragnarok, it implies it's going to be a huge deal, so if it was all self-contained in the Thor sub-universe it would be pretty lame.
 
Good God, that Infinity War teaser, the camera spin that slowly revealed you know who, the two parts, the cheering crowd, I genuinely felt chills running down my spine. I'm so ridiculously hyped and excited for these movies, I almost can't handle it.

Thanos is gonna bust into the Asgard vault and steal the Teseract, and the Infinity Gauntlet. Or Loki has still been serving Thanos all this time, and now that he's (Thor TDW spoiler)

Thanos could easily gain access to what he needs. Don't forget, Thanos was promised the Teseract by Loki in Avengers 1 - he's still going to be looking for it. Perhaps Loki could go "See? I told you I'd bring it to you."
 
shame there's no more iron man solo films. they were my fav, especially iron man 3. i realize there's lots of iron man in the mashup films but i don't really care for those.

guess guardians of the galaxy is a decent enough replacement though

I have watched that Infinity War teaser no less than 10 times.


Still gives me chills. Good god Marvel couldn't be winning any harder if they tried.

they need to cancel thor 3 and replace it with Iron Man 4. Make it a buddy-comedy with war machine. Written by shane black, mel gibson as the villain. all of my money.

Could be they introduce male Captain Marvel in Avengers 3 Part 1 and have him die a horrible death before passing the torch. If they do that they should totally give the role to Fillion.

In the other thread, people were saying that Feige confirmed that Loki's staff was an Infinity Stone. Did this happen during the press conference?
When and where was this confirmed?

That actually *could* work as a plan. Captain Marvel joins the fight in IW Part 1; then gets obliterated and passes his powers on to a nearby US soldier named Carol Danvers.

During the montage of footage leading up to Thanos with the glove on. They showed scenes from all the Marvel movies where a gem was revealed. Tesseract, Loki's Staff, Aether from Thor 2, and Purple stone from GotG.

Which makes sense power-wise (its clearly the Mind Stone then) but makes the color coding confusing, since the Tessarect is also blue. Maybe the cube is a shell similar to the metal sphere in GotG?

emily blunt would be a good captain marvel (i dunno the character but she was badass in edge of tomorrow). and i want eva green or angelina jolie as a villain in wonder woman.

Heh, I was just gonna say that the gem in Loki's staff might actually be green, but glowed blue when lit up for some reason?
