That would be great. They already have history, without really having history. It's clear they dislike core traits and motivations about one another. The age difference, despite Cap being "older", and their distant places in society. Oil and water. Plus RDJ could probably pull this off better than most working actors today.
Alas, I'm afraid the two characters will just be played against each other to push the plot.
So uhh...
What happens after phase 3 then?
I have more faith in marvel than that. Rather than turn Tony into a complete heel like they did in the comics, I'm expecting them to team up by the end of the movie to face a much bigger threat (please oh please let it be modok)
I'm fine with Mordo for a first movie villain but there better be some encounters with Dormammu.
I'm going to pray that there's some US senator who is good at pushing Tony's buttons to make him go up against Cap and his morals. And that Senator ends up being the Red Skull in disguise.
Yeah I am sure Mordo will be an agent of Dormammu. Dormmau and The Mindless Ones is really a fight he will need help with. So Dr.Strange 2 should bring in Clea or Jennifer Kale.

I'm going to hold out hope that there's some US senator or something who is good at pushing Tony's buttons to make him go up against Cap and his morals. And that dude ends up being the Red Skull in disguise.
I definitely cannot see Tony being a shithead like he was in the comics version, but I think the shame of bringing Ultron into the world may be enough for him to surrender to the US government and help push their agenda, legitimately thinking he's making amends and making the world safer. That's the kind of argument where I can see reason on both ends.
Intrigued to see how they'll possibly out-epic Phase 3.

Dorm gonna get nerfed hard, y'all see
Phase 4 should be Kang the Conqueror, or the Kree-Skrull War.

This is my concern it should be a real one for people. Bubbles burst. However I think if it does happen not everyone is going to be affected the same. The one to be screwed the most is likely to be Sony as they're already at the bottom. Fox might be okay with the core X-men films. Any spin offs might crash. Marvel if they keep making films that fix various genres that happen to have super heroes in them might be okay but they'll have to stop multi-films per year. Same with DC who might just bank on the team films for those not Superman and Batman.
That schedule we have for the next several years can not end well. Something has to give on some front.
I honestly wonder whether they're waiting to get rights back. How does Galactus stack up to Thanos in terms of threat, as a non-hardcore Marvel fan?

Non comic book fan here, only familiar with the movie universe. I have a question. Who are all the humans that we see in the other planets in Guardians ? Are they supposed to be from decedents of kidnapped people like Starlord, or are they .. local.. humanoids ?
because that movie made it seem like Earth is the only clueless planet as far as knowing about life outside itself (sans Thor) and pretty much every other galactic inhabited place knows about each other.
Good movies are good movies though. If they keep up a consistent level of quality, people aren't just going to stop seeing their movies. Of course bubbles can burst, but I don't think it will be in this case. If anything, and I don't just say this because I want the rights to revert, it seems like Sony and Fox are more likely to cause fatigue for their franchises, as they seem to just be throwing spitballs at a wall and hoping they stick.

I honestly wonder whether they're waiting to get rights back. How does Galactus stack up to Thanos in terms of threat, as a non-hardcore Marvel fan?
The beautiful thing about Strange is the way they are angling the movie. Although I'm very unsure about Scott Derrickson's talent (The Day the Earth Stood Still and Hellraiser: Inferno are garbage tier), Marvel went for a horror director and Feige has already said that Strange's world is unlike any other in the MCU, in the sense that they are looking forward to depict something close to Ditko's balls-out vision.
Or the global market grows and grows and they will be fine.
Grows bigger than what?
Well galactus is more of a cosmic natural disaster but not on a universal level. Thanos is a universal level threat but that's because he has greater ambitions. Galactus can't be reasoned or bargained with and is much more powerful but only ever eats planets.I honestly wonder whether they're waiting to get rights back. China isn't going to get any smaller.

Beautiful
Do we all agree that Marvel would've benefited from Fantastic Four being in the universe?
Extremely, China loves American scifi action.arent they successful already there?(serious question)
Yeah but forces them to dig deeper in their character library. Which is betterSurfer , Galactus, and many others are tied up with the FF4 yeah it would've been nice.

I've said it before but while I'd enjoy a godd take on the F4, I mostly want them back at Marvel because of Doom.
Who has the rights to Annihilus?
Fox, unfortunately.I've said it before but while I'd enjoy a godd take on the F4, I mostly want them back at Marvel because of Doom.
Who has the rights to Annihilus?
Fox.![]()
Fox, unfortunately.
She's a very basic actress. Works in small doses, her anchoring an entire movie? can't see it...
Emily Blunt would be a fantastic choice. She nailed it in Edge Of Tomorrow. But would she want to be locked into a potential franchise?
Fox.![]()
Fox, unfortunately.
Of course, it could just end up Thor dies/gets injured and Cap has to resort to trying the hammer as a last ditch effort to stop Thanos.
Shame they havent announced a Namor movie, after getting their rights
would be pretty awesome to see an underwater movie about a guy who is sometimes a hero, sometimes a villain, but please dont let him be wearing a speedo
