If Whedon returns to Avengers, that might left Russo open to direct Panther because it didn't look like there will be Cap4. They've already work with the Black Panther actor so I imagine it'd be smooth transition to direct stand alone BP movie. But if Russos are making Avenger, they probably don't have time to direct BP
