Ok, 15gb. For a day-one patch that's insanely large. Why didn't they just ship it on two discs?
Because they reached the point where the game needed to go gold and start printing discs, but they were still working on the multiplayer stuff.

Awesome! Last question. Why does it still show a status of "Updating"? Do I need to keep the console on until it completes, or am I good to turn it off now?
When I downloaded the game a week or so ago, it completed and went into my games, whereas it's currently sitting in Queued status, which worries me. I don't want to turn the console off and then completely screw up the process and set myself back to square one.
This will be my first digital game ever, and I only did it because I knew I would never sell, ease of use (not having to switch out discs, and not having to worry about ordering a physical copy. That said, they really need to fix this process, it should be seamless. You hit the button to pay for it in advance, and simply forget about it and it should do the rest.

Even when putting your console in standby and waiting 5-15 minutes before waking it up ?Still have not gotten the update...

That's what I did at noon and it started downloading.
Just make sure you enabled auto download of updates when in standby mode.
That sometimes happens to me. Think it might be a bug.
Put the cursor over the Halo MCC icon and press the menu button (three horizontal lines). Pause it and then start it again. That should work.
Honestly, I think it's simply a problem with what's being displayed on screen instead of an actual problem with the game file itself.
I don't see the update but my total storage for it is 59.1GB
Do I have it?
had to boot it up too and restart install once to make it work. Now I've got everything but I can't connect for the life of me. Will see in a few hours.I'm reviewing the game, and I've had issues with the patch so far. Had to boot up the game last night to make it realize a patch was available. Checked just now, and it was at "Ready to Start", but I still can't play MP. When I try to select it from the in-game menu, it tells me it's still installing at 76%. Then it drops to 50%. Now it's at 51.5%.
So that's neat.

yes u gots it
I don't know if you already did say it but :I'm going to be mad if I do not get the update before launch. That's the main reason I went digital...

You may want to do what I did. I don't know your Internet situation, but I don't have a data cap so I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled it and I got the update.
I don't know if you already did say it but :
- how much space left on your hard drive ?
- what is the size of the game right now on your console ?
Sorry if you have already checked but right now I don't have any idea as it seems to be available everywhere.
I have the same issue and I'm in the USA.I have auto update enabled, my console has always been set to the instant on mode. I did that when I went to sleep, woke up 6 hours later, still nothing. Hard reset the box, put it back on instant on mode, 2 hours later, still nothing.
Maybe the update isn't out in my region yet.
I am torn. I want to buy digital as I can get the patch now and also have Halo multi accessible without a disk but I do love me some physical media.
XB1 download system is awful.Based on my google search and the forums I came across if yours is stuck on 100% this is the error that occurs when you need to download the entire game over :/ Happened to me as well and this happened to a bunch of people with Advanced Warfare. Maybe give it some time but if it's still like that after a while... well.... bad news...
My internet speeds are really slow. I would rather wait.

To be safe I went ahead and just deleted it and am downloading the entire thing again. it's downloading a file that's 59.1 GB.
If the download was pushed after the time your console checks for update each night, it should get it next time it is turned off (with "instant on" mode enabled), or next night if it's not turned on at all today.I have more then 70gb free space on my HD, and the game size here is 45gb.
I did not receive the patch yet either. I really hope they're aware of this and are working on it.
Ps.: Auto update and instant on mode were turned on the entire night.

It seems to check for updates (system and games/apps) one or two times a day, and each time you put it in standby (after a couple of minutes), and also when you launch a game or app, but in case of preload we can't.
Soooo.....purchase $60 card from an online shop...change region from UK to US, redeem card on console, purchase MCC, download game plus update just released and change back to uk?
Yeah I don't think so. The only reason they held back all 15gb is because they could not fit it on one disc. I'm sure they polished some code between going gold and release, but not 15gb of code.
Question: I'm planning on waiting to see if any physical copies of MCC have great deals before next week, if not i'll probably go digital BUT: If I get physical, when I do an 'install' or whatever, do I essentially get the same functionality as the pre-loaders? Like is there a way for physical copies to be forever installed for easy access on my console without disc swapping?
Disc vs digital is the same. Game is still installed to console.
The real difference is in DRM.
A disc based install does NOT install a license to the console. So when the game starts it will require the disc in the drive.
A digital install does install a license to the console, so no disc required.
Basically, on game launch DRM check is:
1) Does a console license exist? If yes, start game, if no goto 2)
2) Does an account license exist? If yes, start game, if no goto 3)
3) Is the game disc in the drive? If yes, start game, if no goto 4)
4) Display message asking user to purchase the game.
Get donged on physical media plebs
Only time I'd ever get a game physical is if I was planning on trading it in.
