Ok this game is on my radar now, especially if it's better than DA:O, which was my second favourite RPG from last gen (after ME1).
 
Really glad to see it getting good reviews. Now, I just need to decide between PC and Xbox One versions... (would go Xbox One if I have Live friends getting it for MP)

Well... I disagree, IMO Mass Effect 3 was amazing and deserved all the plaudits it received.

I also liked the revamped ending (original ending left me a bit high and dry though).

I'm the one who's super excited about the game here. You're the one who comes into the thread, tells everyone how wrong their opinions are and how they shouldn't like anything Bioware puts out. It's pretty obvious which one actually comes across as mad to everyone else.

Nope, quest design wasnt shitty, unless you talk about the fetch quests that you could overhear on the citadel, which was an extremely minor part of the game. Dialogue wasnt shitty either, it was better than ME1 and certainly on the same level as ME2. Balance was not bad either, in fact iit was better than in the previous ME games, same with combat variety. You actually had many encounters in ME3 that were dictated by what you had done in previous games.
 
Solid reviews! The game looks really good! It makes me want to get an Xbox One ahead of March with D4 already out and now this (I don't have much faith in the 360/PS3 versions).
 
So this is going to be my first Dragon Age game, is there any video or article that does a good job of summing up the events of the first two game other than the wiki? Would like to get a general sense of what happened in those?

Well if its any consolation, the only impression posted in this thread so far is that the 360 version looks/plays as good as DA2 .., which was not too bad.

Dragon Age Keep gives a rundown of the first two games' stories.

Dragon Age Keep has a good narrated summary of the major plot points of the first two games that also allows you to choose your own world state if you don't want to go with default.

Fuuuck this sounds so good, and i thought it was going to be poop after DA:2.

For those who know about the story: Is it viable to invest in the story of DA2 to understand stuff in this? Or is atleast the MQ pretty standalone? I loved DA:O and played the demo of DA2, realized what i was playing was literally a pile of shit and never touched the full game.

But this seems soo gooooooooooooooood :( i regret getting Lords of the fallen instead of this.
 
Does the
Loghain
quest not happen if you killed him or does someone else take his place like ME3? I know Dawg can't answer this but maybe Jason or another reviewer...

Hard to get through DA2 without side stuff because that makes up almost the entirety of the first act, but the story picks up in a big way going forward. Play it really quick on easy. Or read a wiki.

Yeah I felt a bit "wait what?" when looking at that video. Assuming we are talking about the same thing.
I didn't really watch the whole time. Just glanced at it while listening. I do not want to look more closely at that video. No idea if it's a spoiler or anything at all, since I didn't get a good look but it felt very weird to see.
 
Totally not my type of game...

I'll get it at some point. When I have countless hours of free time. I'm glad to see it has reviewed well! THE WORLD NEEDS GREAT RPGS!

Not really... the PC version has many, many different UI/control and graphical options on-board, not far to paint all the mediums with the shit brush that Telegraph was using.
