First playthrough is male human warior. excuse my boringness.

I never play females when i create characers, i'm roleplaying and i don't ever imagine myself as a woman... dunno why.

I'll play as a qunari mage next.

My little Inquisitor can't be this cute!
uguuu~

That's actually really impressive lol. One of the best created female characters ive seen in a game like this

Think I'm going to try something a little crazy and go human male warrior.

Those other guys can talk big all they want about humans being boring and what not but there's a reason they don't make the rules.

Elves can go brood in their ghetto, Dwarves are too afraid of falling up to stop oppressing their own people, and the Qunari can't even conquer a wet paper bag. Humanity5ever.

Qunari second.

Actually I'm glad that Bioware managed to turn around. I had a lot of fun with their last gen RPGs except DAII and ME3. But I'll wait for sale because there are too many RPGs for me to play nowadays.

You spelled female wrong.
No. No. I didn't.

Too many qunari knight enchanters running around.

Hey I would've been a necromancer if it wasn't for the tree being so support-magic. So I'll use my support mage, Freddie Mercury, and give him all the back-up shit haha.

Yeah, kinda making me question the choice for myself (not really). Although, I haven't seen the skills for Rift Mage yet.

Rift Mage might have its use. But unless it has physical/close up skills I can't consider it because my party only has one melee fighter, I need the knight enchanter to give her back-up.

Do you imagine yourself as an Elf?

That's not much of an argument considering there are males and females in every option, regardless of race.

It's easier to convincingly roleplay as an Elf than a woman to me lol.

Though in DA:I, we're not as much roleplaying as we decide what direction the MC takes, so it's easier to roll a female.

its always easy to roll females because they are polygon characters on the tv that you are controlling with a gamepad or a mouse/keyboard

For everyone asking on XB1 you need to go to the EA Access App and then slide Right to Games and the trial will be there. Its up in the UK too BTW which is where I am downloading now.

I'd go elf if the city elf origin was a thing again. As awkward as the rape villain story was, the started from the bottom stuff was pretty appealing, as were the random reminders throughout the game that you were playing a filthy elf.

As it is, probably a qunari mage of some sort. Will roll with Varric because he's cool apparently, never played DA2 so I wouldn't know, and Vivienne because I like her style. Dorian for the third maybe.

Might need a warrior in there somewheres depending on difficulty.

You are in for a treat.

Wait, there's a demo?!

Yeah man, ea access. Played about an hour tonight with my elf archer, lots of fun. i want to try out some of the other character specs but don't want to waste my six hours, I'd rather play an hour a day and see the story/gameplay and make it last until Tuesday!

I don't know if 3 mages and a crossbow user is a viable party lol

I'm having a hard time choosing between Elf and Qunari. Humans are boring, always on top of the food chain in BioWare games.

I'd go with Qunari because it's the first game in the series to allow you to. Plus Dalish elf is boring. City elf it'd be interesting but they didn't go for that route.

still 10 to expensive, ME 2 is where is at

Are you serious? The very first Mass Effect is the most interesting and best of the three.

It is one of the reasons why I am looking forward on heading into this game because Bioware seems to be in the same state for when they created Mass Effect 1.

are Jennifer Hale, Troy Baker and Nolan North voicing anyone (credited)?

It's easily the most interesting and the closest to the original premise of "exploring new worlds". But also the worse game as a whole. Awful item management, full of bugs and abuse of reused assets.

I personally found ME3 the less memorable of all, not even counting the ending.

I'd honestly rather have had city elf than dalish (or at least had City elf be the warrior/rogue option, while the keeper's assistant could be a mage), but working Orlais' city elves into the chantry at the beginning of the game would be...interesting, given the results from the last book.

One of the reviews did mention that there was never really an option to 'be' Dalish, as opposed to surrendering your personality to the Inquisition.

While I'm sure it happens for all of the races to some extent (given that the Qunari choices don't follow the Qun, and the dwarves are part of the Carta, IIRC), that would really hamper the elf perspective.

Still gonna be fun to demand people call me the new herald as a female qunari mage on 2nd playthrough, tho.

Some good info. The description of each personal stat:

Strength: The character's physical strength and ability. Each point increases Attack (Warriors only) and Guard Damage Bonus.
Dexterity: The character's agility, reflexes, and coordination. Each point increases Attack (Rogues only) and Critical Damage Bonus.
Magic: The character's connection to the Fade and ability to manipulate it. Each point increases Attack (Mages only) and Barrier Damage Bonus.
Cunning: The character's intelligence and deviousness. Each point increases Critical Chance and Ranged Defense.
Willpower: The character's strength of mind and personality. Each point increases Attack (all classes) and Magic Defense.
Constitution:The character's physical robustness and endurance. Each point increases Health and Melee Defense.

---------------------------------------------------

We also got the missing Rift mage talents. The passives are all about weakening the enemy, which does nothing but reduce their damage output. Likely the worst specialization. Which is ridiculous considering that the game is all about closing Rifts. HUGE wasted opportunity. Hope there is a rebalancing patch down the road.

In contrast, the missing passive for Knight enchanter, is pretty damn great.
