DA:I's Gamerankings score is almost same as DA:O's even though the critics are much harsher these days. Mother of God we are dealing with a masterpiece here.

Much harsher is an exaggeration. Maybe a point or 2 on metacritic, for well recieved games. Maybe a bigger impact further down the scale.

I used the SoftEther VPN and left it on for a min +/- before turning it off and the speeds went back to normal.

Let it download at least few MB, preferably closer to 10 MB, before closing VPN connection. If still wont work then try different VPN client, a lot of people had success with FlyVPN and SoftEther VPN.

Cheers lads, CyberghostVPN worked a charm - getting 1.2mbps now, will have the game in a few hours, brilliant!

It's kind of crazy all these hoops we are jumping through (or need to) to unlock a game that we purchased since we live in a different country... it's just a bit odd really.

On a side note, how dope does Cole look at the end of the Breach trailer? That's some sick illusionary rogue maneuvering for sure.

It is legit removal, http://help.ea.com/in/article/dragon-age-inquisition-not-available-in-india/

In order to avoid a breach of local content laws, Electronic Arts has withdrawn Dragon Age: Inquisition from sale in India. Unfortunately, that means we’re unable to fulfill your Origin order.
  • All affected purchases for Dragon Age: Inquisition will be refunded. This applies regardless of payment method or date of purchase.
  • Dragon Age: Inquisition may still temporarily appear in your Origin library, but it will be removed before its launch date.

is the
temple of mythal
(location spoiler) designed to be a giant temple of doom reference? (I'd be ok with this)...

So the earliest PC release would be in Asia like Korea and Japan I presume?
I live in Europe, does that means I can unlock it on the 16th already ?
I hate this stuff with the time zones lol.

Which local content laws? It's still avaiable on PSN and Xbox Live in India. Which kind of games are missing from the Indian Steam store?

So if I change my Xbox One region to Australia, I should technically get access much earlier? Hmmm

Fuck waiting until 21st

I think the earliest unlock in the UK will be 3pm on Monday 17th. That's using a VPN from Korea or Hong Kong. I'm okay with that.

So that would be 4 pm my time because I live in Germany, I'm okay with that as well, is it possible to get achievements still when you unlocked the game and play in offline mode?

It's pretty great, save for the beards.

The hair in general looks quite bad, hopefully it gets sorted for future iterations. Hairstyles, beards and stubble look pretty poor imo despite how excellent the character creator is.

P.S. Where the hell is the Gametrailers review?

TotalBiscuit streaming some DAI on PC aaand its over as game crashed on him for first time in 10h

Edit: Just short one before some DotA

preload is already up. you should have received an e-mail.

I Didn't get any email, only an email about a $10 coupon for pre-ordering the game..
*sigh*
Yet another problem to pre order this game. First orgin refused to let me buy it directly from its site, then I gave up after 3 days and got it off amazon, then amazon gives me the wrong redeem code. Now I can't preload it...I bet I will get an issue trying to download the game on release date :(

Mass Effect 3 has homosexual content as well.

Tell me about it. That mechanic really started hitting on me etc. after I just basically said "Hi". Felt so tacky and bad how easily he "warmed up" to you.

Edit: To be clear I even didn't know he was potential romance for male Shepard. It just came across so strongly and tackily that it was obvious and "easy" from get go

The preload fun on Origin continues..

Talked to the help desk and told them everything I tried and he was stumped so he contacted an "expert". Expert gave a solution that I hadn't tried - it didn't work - and said it might just be server load. Might be playing the PS4 version on Tuesday instead. :-\

At least he was cool about the whole thing though.

Possibly not? With DA:O and DA2 you had to be connected to the Drgon Age servers (BSN) so your achievements were recorded. Can't remember if you got them offline too. Could always play with the VPN running, I guess.

I don't see the need for bioware to insult everyone's intelligence by trying to justify their DRM with "its because multiplayer", when MP centric games from EA dont even use it "BF4".

Didn't BF4 and BF3 use Punkbuster?

Edit: People were pissed about Punkbuster, so maybe Denuvo is the next attempt. Still shady shit, but I respect that this is more complicated than I could understand fully. I don't understand how networking multiplayer games or exploits work, so I can't really comment on the challenge (if any) they are dealing with.

Denuvo is relatively new solution so it only now gaining visibility is understandable. Also it maybe isn't DRM like Origin or Steam, but it's DRM in a sense that it protects .exe from being cracked.

Edit: Basically they are splitting hairs with that "This is DRM and this isn't because reasons" when all of it is intended to prevent game from being cracked.
