It's a disgrace that PS4 owners have only 24 hours basically to download a 40 gig file.

Well usually you can start playing before the download finishes.

My connection used to be 10MB and I downloaded most games (even BF4, another 40GB file) in just a couple hours. Anecdotal I know but PSN downloads are quite fast for me.

My connection now is 40MB and I'm downloading games absurdly fast on PSN.

I should mention that I'm brazilian and I buy my games on the US PSN store.

Anyway, when will preload on PS4 available ?

It should start on sunday afternoon.

Wow, not even trying to keep the spoilers out just because you think you're being a vague. What a dick.

I'm out. Not going to put up with that for the next few days.

So I bought it from Mexico Origin, what's the best program to VPN so I can start preloading?

EDIT: Nvm got it sorted.

EDIT 2: Shit no I don't, I switched off the vpn and it won't let me continue the preload :(

I preloaded via VPN, just let it download about 10mb of data before disabling the service. My speed jumped right back almost instantly.

Yeah thanks sorted it out. It was because I closed Origin after shutting off the vpn. Left it open and all good, thanks!

False info.

Scene has only put preload files into circulation, but because DAI uses Denuvo DRM there most likely will never be crack or at least for not long long time. Denuvo has never been cracked this far.

Well, that's good to hear. That's right, Denuvo is strong, very strong...
I think more and more games will use Denuvo from now no.

Do we know if the PC version has secondary-toolbars that are accessed by the Alt/Shift keys?

No, 8 (at least I think it's 8) active skills is the limit.

Bioware has rolled that limitation into their 'tactical' approach regarding combat.

Hey, does anyone know of a way to see what choices you made in the game on PC? I played these game the years ago, and with the Dragon Age Keep site not importing you're save states directly, I wanna try to get my game set up exactly as I played it. But I don't remember all of the choices I made, as it was so long ago. Is there any mods or program to scan your save files or anything of the such?

Hmm. Balls.

Guess that makes my key-setup less complicated, was going to spend my quiet times at work planning it out meticulously.

Did you switch your VPN off at checkout? That's what I did. I got an American copy but at the Mexican price. Preloaded without a VPN no problem.

Best chance is to run through relevant codex entries and hope they updated with mentions of choices

Keep just did its final pre-Inquisition update, and looks awesome.

Save states are importable/savable.

Does that mean.... PC is getting its 6-hour funfest?

What vpn software are you guys using cause I tried softether vpn set to USA and I cant seem to find the "preload" button

I used FlyVPN, then picked a South Korean connection. Just make sure you let it download around 10mb of data at first. Then disable the VPN connection and it should let you download at your regular speed. (Don't close down Origin while disabling VPN)

There should be a regional tab with labels like Europe, USA, Africa, Korea etc. Depending on login I couldn't use Korea with one (grayed out), but the other worked just fine. Try both and see if it enables the use of south Korea.

I think I used the non lite version of the program.

Got Dragon Age 3 too via the mexico Origin method, only had to pay €32 instead of €70 or €40, I'm surprised this still worked after people abused it like hell when Titanfall launched.
Pre-loading as we speak, I'm from the EU, so I also used FlyVPN to pre-load. 50% done, so the earliest the game unlocks in South Korea ?

Wow, so apparently you can retcon choices you've made in Inquisition through the Keep.

Do you mean actively retcon, and have DA:I change its own save state, or just that you can use the tapestry afterwards to change stuff around?

The latter is relatively obvious given the plans of the keep, but if it's the former, all I can say is 'wut'.

The soundtrack has 39 tracks and it's almost 1GB in size! Really want to listen to it now but I wanna experience it in the game first :p

The former.

You have a separate area in the new World States category of the Keep for Inquisition Saves. You can export those saves into your Save State slots, fuck with them, then re-import them.

Thanks for this. After doing the Keep, watching the ShoddyCast Lore videos on YouTube, and reading up on everything in the Wiki, this confirmed everything I needed to know about DA before Tuesday. Great article to brush up with if you're feeling hazy (or coming in completely brand-new like me). I freaking can't wait for this game, and I didn't even play the first two.

Coincidentally, waiting for this made me download the Heroes of Dragon Age app from the App Store to mess around with. It's pretty thickin free-to-play trappings, but it's got some cool story/lore stuff tied in with it from the ages before the Dragon Age. Figured it'd be worth a play while I'm waiting for Tuesday, and it's kept my interest so far at least. Just wondering if anyone else messed with it.

Okay, down here in Poland the worst is happening - the key bought on Origin let's you preload a game in polish only/ I should've anticipated this and bought a multi lang. key off a retailer :/

Do you guys know if it's possible to activate another key on Origin, for the same game, but with a different language set?

Otherwise it's going to suuuuuuck.

edit: I have just cancelled the Origin preorder through EA Support. Could any one of you, Europeans, tell me which digital retailer is already sending out the keys?

Tom Chick is liking it.

So I'm having a far better time with this than I expected. I figured I would just plink away at it for a while, but it's got really powerful hooks once you hit a certain point. It opens up dramatically once you get past the title card, even though I can see the tricks they're doing (i.e. some of the usual thinly veiled quest gimmicks). But for me, it's really effective, especially with the way the camp system works sort of like territorial control. You earn power points to unlock new areas, and then in those areas you set up camps for fast travel and rest/potion refill stations. There's a sense of exploring and claiming pieces of the world and it seems -- seems! -- to be really non-linear*. It's almost like the sort of stuff Ubisoft has been doing over and over for a while in Far Cry/Assassin's Creed/Watch Dogs, but in the context of a party-based RPG.
...

At any rate, I'm playing on hard and I've had some really great battles so far. I can't tell you how gratifying it was to finally take out a bear! Bears are level 8 and my level 4 party had been wiped by wandering bears a few time. But when one was standing between me and a dungeon entrance -- ooh, a dungeon! I gotta see that! -- I set up a battle using all the tools I could. My archer at an elevated spot for his damage bonus, Verrick standing far enough away for repeated long shot damage bonuses, the mage using barriers on the warrior chick, the warrior chick building up shield walls as much as she could while her regeneration potions did their thing, saving health potions for a last resort. All the while I was setting up orders and running time in pulses using the right trigger on the controller. That was probably the most gratifying bear fur I've ever looted.

So I watched Giant Bomb Unprofessional Fridays and they quickly showed the multiplayer menus. Basically potions don't refresh and you have to use the only currency you get for playing the MP to buy new potions? But that same currency is used to buy new stuff? I can't see myself ever buying potions to waste precious resources I need to buy stuff, but that also means the parties I join are always crippled from the start because I never have potions. Did I get this right?

That's what free-to-play mechanics do to a game, I guess.

Okay?

In order to avoid a breach of local content laws, Electronic Arts has withdrawn Dragon Age: Inquisition from sale in India. Unfortunately, that means we’re unable to fulfill your Origin order.

All affected purchases for Dragon Age: Inquisition will be refunded. This applies regardless of payment method or date of purchase.

Dragon Age: Inquisition may still temporarily appear in your Origin library, but it will be removed before its launch date.

Sounds right. Their multiplayer mode in ME3 had you buying both consumable items and gear with credits as well.

How expensive are potions versus how much you earn per completion?

Strikes me as a weird opinion. If anything the SP campaign not making you pay for default healing potions with the same currency you use to buy equipment is a deviation from standard RPG mechanics, not the MP making you do so.
