I know this is the comics thread, but you guys were talking games anyway so... my god guys. Sonic Boom is so, so, so very broken. Played through a ton of it (now apparently 38%, though I'm not sure I trust the game to even calculate that right) with friends today. Thankfully bad game+friends is a winning combination that made it great fun in the way that a B movie can be, but holy crap is that game ever busted.

I was thinking about making a form to sign up that would include what a person would be interested in receiving.
This is just a preliminary list to see how many people would be interested, we'll do a sign up later if we have enough people.
I don't think it needs to be too detailed on what we send (tpbs, hardcovers, floppies or a funko pop. Probably not digital stuff unless requested), a dollar cap is definitely a good idea.

How is Supreme Blue Rose? Also, c'mon Freeze, if you've got room for Batman Eternal, you've got room for Silver Surfer.
I love that book so much, it and Captain Marvel are my favorite Marvel books. Surfer is just so goddamned charming every month, even the cheesy stuff like Dawn calling the board Toomie is great.

Dude, I love Toomie. The board is a genuine character, and it's all so charming and smart and everybody should get it for Hanukkah.

Supreme Blue Rose is full of metaphysical whosiwhatsit. It's one of those books where you can can kinda/sorta understand what's going on, but not quite. Tula Lotay's art is amazing, though.
As for Batman Eternal, I'm right on the cusp of dropping it. It hasn't really done anything for me for four or five issues now, and I just don't care. So yeah, I can probably swap Surfer back into the rotation. I do love Allred art.
The only thing cooler than getting Toomie would be a GL power ring.

I'm definitely planning to pick up the hypothetical OHC. It seems right up my alley.
Yeah, I pretty much only read comics using the sunlight for lighting (indoor lighting causes too much of a glare) so I feel your pain. I do wake up at 4am though, so I'm still awake for 100% of the daylight hours so it doesn't affect me quite as much. Haha
I actually kind of like the time change, because I get to be awake for some of the hours at night when the sun is down. During the summer I would have to go to bed while it was still barely light out and that was pretty annoying.

Fuck yeah to both Silver Surfer and having similarly large wallet-obliterating pulls!
The ending to the most recent Silver Surfer with Dawn and Norrin was just perfect. This book feels organic and positive, and seriously, you can't put an issue down without just feeling happy. I'm really impressed by Slott.

There's also a story, collected in the first Don Rosa Library from Fantagraphics Books, where Donald tries to outsmart his nephews by showing them whacky looking animals, which turn out to be actual mythological creatures. Going insane from being unable to outsmart the kids, Donald eventually gathers many objects and paints and attempts to create the most bizarre animal using an enraged horse. The end result is a rainbow vomit of an animal with various animal skins and body parts, that is drawn in such detail it is amazing, it must be seen to believed.

It was wacky. But it was also one of those stories told in reverse, where suddenly they're in space, and Clayface is there pulling a Groot, and a bunch of other people and we don't know what's going on and AAAAHHHHHHH. This issue will have the events leading up to the space hijinks. I hope.

It was supposed to be out already but it kept getting delayed. Vol.2 and 3 are supposed to be out Dec. 10th and Dec. 17th. Let's hope they don't get pushed back any further.

If you want something with a good mystery set in a fictional history, there's Rex Mundi. It is collected in 2 TPBs IIRC.

Looking at the line-up for the first arc of Guardians of The Galaxy Team Up with Bendis and Art Adams. Bendis just lands the best artists for his works I mean Immomen, Maleev, Copiel, Yu, Pichelli,Bagley, Romita Jr and the list goes on.
