My thumbs are too big so when I type fast on my phone I am prone to fucking up. I looked it over and I felt pretty stupid. It really is great. You can read the whole thing on Unlimited.

When I'm on my phone I fuck up lots because fucking spellcheck doesn't understand half of the words I use. It's all these comic and animu words.

I really need to figure out if there's a way to disable spellcheck. I type better without it.

You on an iPhone? I think it's smart spellcheck is the worst offender.

I know I shouldn't be doing this right now, but I'm thinking about buying all of Gotham Central. I've never read it before.

So how is Hawkeye vs Deadpool? I haven't read any Dpooly in a long time and I love me some Clint and Kate so I'm interested. The few panels I have seen of it look pretty good.

I haven't read any of his Star Wars stuff, and have only stuck to his Earth 2 and Injustice comics, but I've found them more than enjoyable. Injustice especially, is amazing considering its based off a video game and is a weekly comic! :O

I agree with him on Earth 2, for my money that book went to crap once Taylor was done working from Robinson's notes and started doing his own thing.

I am enjoying it quite a bit. Deadpools solo series is pretty good also. But Hawkeye vs Deadpool has been fun and I really enjoy how Kate is drawn in it. Worth a read.

Okay, I've been largely ignoring Dark Horse since the loss of the Star Wars license and the parade of bland original superheroes began, but this one actually seems like it could be fun. It's called Lady Killer.

Josie Schuller is a picture-perfect homemaker, wife, and mother—but she’s also a ruthless, efficient killer for hire! A brand-new original comedy series that combines the wholesome imagery of early 1960s domestic bliss with a tightening web of murder, paranoia, and cold-blooded survival.

Will Dark Horse be on Comixology by then?

One can hope. With the loss of the Star Wars license, they're going to need to open themselves up to as many readers as possible. And I know a lot of people steer clear of Dark Horse digital books because of the horrendous app.

Not really. Dark Horse had to address this silly theory back when the announcement was made. Star Wars only added up to 4-6% of their 2013 bottom line. It's been a staple of their company for a long, long time, but at this point it's a small part of their publishing catalog.

Maybe Queen Nocenti will do better on that book. She was like a fish out of water on Catwoman. She just ignored the characters history/character and made up her own shit. It might work here. But not for me.

I find that a bit surprising. Where do they get the bulk of their income? Surely, I thought the decision to establish a new stable of original superheroes was tied to the loss of the Star Wars license.

In a way, sure, but it's also simply tied to their desire to continue growing. There was no desperate need to find a way to survive without Star Wars. Not sure on what exact metric he was using, but Mike Richardson said Dark Horse's 2013 was it's best year ever by a 30% margin.

They've got Hellboy, the Whedonverse, Alien/Predator, creator-owned stuff of various degrees (Mind MGMT, Usagi Yojimbo), various video game spinoffs, some merchandizing programs (like with Game of Thrones), some manga, etc. They're fairly smartly diversified across a lot of different kinds of properties.

Here's a great interview with Mike Richardson and Scott Allie back when the Star Wars news broke.
