I really hope this is better than the first one. The first one was a fanservice dream, but as a fighting game it was pretty lacking.

Ah geez, that might be it. I don't see how this would be a "shocking project", though.

If this is a thing, maybe they would have learned from the first game and make this a better fighting game.
 
The original was flawed but had a lot of promise and was a solid foundation for expansion. Some fine tuning and a proper single player and it could be a really good game.

and i just finished getting absolutely everything in the first one.

it's a good thing i bought the PS3 from my brother since he wanted to sell it.

This is cool to hear. This game got me to finally read Parts 4 & beyond to prepare for the (then hopeful) localization. Now hopefully the gameplay (& story mode) can be more refined, despite the excellent fanservice.

Also STROHIEM NEEDS TO BE PLAYABLE. FOR GERMAN SCIENCE!

I didn't think the first game was as bad as everyone was saying. Then I played two rounds and understood all of the complaints. If they at the very least add a really good campaign like the Naruto games get, I'll probably buy it. Asking for the gameplay to be good might be too much to ask for.

There still isn't really another good combat stand from Jojolion yet. Maybe Yotsuyu's "I am a Rock" but it would require some expansion to come up with a full move set.

I could see Joshu and Norisuke being added with relative ease. Everyone else though...

IT DOES BRIGHTEN UP MY DAY

The actual fighting mechanics are actually pretty tight! I enjoyed it for what it was; a kusoge with a heart of gold. Once the game got patched up, things got hella neat. I really hope that they include Diego and the like...maybe make campaign mode more interesting.

Pre patch or after patch? Also, it was a pretty balanced game after the latter, although not everyone uses that meter to judge games.

I believe it was post patch. I'm sure it was balanced but man, is that game slow. Not to mention that fluctuating sub 30 frame-rate.

That being said, the game sold a lot of copies. A sequel would also probably sell a lot of copies.
 
Assuming this is real, what're the chances most, if not all the DLC characters will make it in as part of the on-disc roster?

Incredibly high. After the apologetic stance they took with the first game's bungled release, I don't think they'd want to alienate their fanbase any more.

Nijimura Kyo's Born This Way would work.

Including a couple more from Jojolion would garner interest for people to buy the tankobon regardless of spoilers. The Capcom game took some liberties that were greenlit by Araki and I'd rather have some more than just Soft and Wet. I mean they sorta got creative with Old Joseph Joestar considering he mostly uses hamon.

The game itself caters not only for the fans but also serves as advertisement for the manga.
