Any rogues out there? My fav class but people are saying theyre crap right now. Low damage and kinda useless in PvP :/ Just hit 100 and... well... yeah they dont seem that great. Doesnt help that Assassination now only needs to worry about keeping up Rupture and spam mutilate/envenom.

So what is dishing out the most honor these days? I've been running BGs since the dungeon queues are so long and at the current rate, I'll never be able to afford anything. lol

Just turned up on the forums:

Called it. They have done it before even in the past that's why i love Blizzard.

Also i love this expansion i love being back on 'outland' before it was outland. The music, quests, atmosphere are amazing. Love the ability perks and Garrison.

Good move by Blizzard.

Luckily Thunderhorn wasn't hit too hard so I didn't experience the horrible waits that a lot of people endured. Hope that the majority of it has died down for those people but I think it's a good move on Blizzard's part to do this.

The game will randomly play a "thud" sound, like the impact of a blunt melee weapon. It sounds like the sound source is the same as self-buffs, so not related to something that's happening outside my character.
Any idea what's causing it?

edit: I just asked in general chat and got several replies of others who are experiencing the same, but don't know why.
It's being described as the sap sound. I guess it's a bug.

This has been driving me crazy because it's the same sound as getting sapped.

I'm at 96. I'm not all that thrilled with mine. Tried assassination and combat, and was sub back in MoP. I feel like my survivability sucks and my damage is meh. I've played this rogue off and on since vanilla release and it just isn't feeling fun at the moment. Ambush, mutilate, envenom, repeat until dispatch spam. Put rupture on bosses.

The only cool things rogues got is the pickpocket sub quest.

Tank is like five seconds, while DPS is somewhere north of 40 minutes. Crazy times.

The stupid thing about this is that it's an issue largely made by the ratio around which blizzard designs content.

Dungeons have a 20/20/60 percent ratio of tank/healer/dps

But in raids that radio gets changed and becomes something like 8/24/68 percent

This then causes people to not really want to roll tanks because it will be hard to find a raiding guild where they can tank. Which leads to a huge lack of tanks in dungeons, causing the insta queues for tanks because they never represent the role that have to many queued for dungeons. And vice versa for the dps, since they are always the role that have too many people queued.

Hopefully now that blizzard are no longer stuck, having to design their hardest and most prestigious content to be doable by a setup of only 10 people. They will actually start designing raid fights to need more than 2 tanks

They really need to up the drop rate of gear in dungeons. At this rate I'll never get into heroics much less raids.

You can get geared for heroic dungeons without ever setting foot in a normal dungeon. There are soloable rare mobs that drop 620 blue gear

The rares in L100 areas drop 620 loot that can be randomly upgraded to 626. Also, garrison missions reward 615 ilvl gear. I think I only needed 2 drops to get high enough for heroics, and that's w/o exhausting all of my options. It's definitely possible to do w/o ever needing to run a normal mode.

I received my CE today so I spent some time with it using the character I brought to 90 with the token. Even in the first area the expansion looks pretty nice (though it didn't impress me as much as Pandaria did initially), especially downsampled from 4k with everything maxed. The downside is that I was stuck at 30fps most of the time (though I'd go up to 60 in certain places), but it's not too bad a price to pay to eliminate almost all the jaggies.

One thing a lot of people forget now the dungeon finder is so ubiquitous: if you have a group that has faith in you, if you actually travel to the portal, you can enter it at *any* iLvl. I just did Bloodmaul Slag Mines heroic with a guild group, with two of us being freshly-dinged 100s, without having gained much gear nor done Proving Grounds. It was tough, I grant you (part of the reason for doing it was to see just how nasty it'd be, given we were raiders), but perfectly completable.

So if there's people out there with faith in you, you could just skip the Finder completely.

yeah but doing the silver rank scenario is not really hard even when getting to 100.

I've noticed it mostly in my garrison. I didn't recall hearing it at all in Ashran last night, but when I went back to my garrison I heard it multiple times before logging out. I heard it in Nagrand too. (Maybe I was just too intensly pvping in Ashran to notice it.)
In reference to the sound: I think it's when a Battle.net friend logs off or out of wow. (or off of battle.net all together.)

Has anyone else run into the issue where the Frostwolves Guards's loincloths spaz out like crazy whenever you get near? I'm running a Nvidia 765M with the latest drivers and all that, and I have no further graphical issues at all aside from that.

tfw when you turn 400g worth of dust into a 5g shard because the order in the enchanting tab was different to another characters...

Tank queues are so insanely fast I can queue to avoid getting ganked.

Someone's after me? *Queue* *Vanish*

Yeah, it's not really the proving grounds you're saving time on, it just happens to also be circumventable. The real draw is skipping to the last stage of the gear grind.

That said, we did wipe, fairly often, and while our shammy healer was fortunate with gear, I was less so!

I'll always defend MoP. Think it was a great expansion.

And I'm on Sargeras also. Scared to see what the queue will be when I get home. I miss the days when I could actually play during the week ={

MoP was a good expansion, much better than Cata. If they had given it to us without all the panda shit, it would have been great.

For garrisons, is it advisable to build a Lumber Mill ASAP?

I don't really think it is, from my understanding it will give you an early boost in getting your buildings up to tier 2. But after that, you're gonna have to wait until you unlock tier 3 schematics no matter how many resources you have.

Resources are a major bottleneck early on. Trading post/lumber mill both help a ton, I think I'm going to demo my LM once I get the tier 3 achieve unlocked though and make a tavern. Tavern is amazing, but yeah, resource bottleneck is very real :/

It's helped me get to Town Hall level 3 and get stuff up and running, but i plan on replacing it with a Trading post soon. Definitely useful for getting a headstart though as you can get a lot of timber whilst questing.

Thanks for the replies. Gonna hearth back to my garrison to get that Lumber Mill started. I have to say, maintaining your garrison and sending your followers to missions is incredibly fun and engaging. It's almost like a mobile mini game.

Either that or the Trading Post, Lumber Mill gives you less resources but they come from a Lumber Mill exclusive resource (Timber) while Trading Post gives you more resources but they cost you ore/herbs/fur.

Right now I actually have both set up so fund all my follower missions, but I could see myself replacing the Lumber Mill for a Tavern once I stockpile some resources and have everything on Lv. 3.

Question on the lvl 90 level boost: If I want to boost a new Panda monk, can I boost him right away? Or do I have to play far enough to choose a faction?

My Guardian Druid loves 'em at the moment :D

You can boost him right away, they ask you.

Source: I know because this is what I did :D

Dinged 100 last night. Started my Legendary quest line and cleared out Skywatch.

Now to gear up for heroics. Got a long way to go, though having the Hellscream heirloom staff certainly helps.

What's the quickest way to get honor these days? Just queue for BG's? I want the sword but I'm only getting around 100 or so honor per BG.

Never use key resellers. I bought an upgrade key from G2A that was invalid, got blizzard to confirm it was useless, been waiting on a refund for 3 days now and I don't want to upgrade through blizzard just incase they can only give me a replacement key instead of a refund ._.
