It's twitter. And it's GAF. And a cunt and an asshole are pretty similar and even right next to each other. One of them has shit passing through it on a regular basis while the other one can make babies, so what makes assholes more polite than cunts?

I coulda melee'd him but I wanted to demonstrate how dumb the weapon starts were.

SMG's I probably woulda killed him but the score wouldn't be too much different.

CE Plasma Rifle would have stunned him, then you could have finished quickly with a Beatdown. Funny how people bitch about the Pistol in CE, when all of the closer range weapons are better in CE than they are in subsequent Halo's. Plasma Rifle in CE would have gotten that kill easy, so would have AR, Shotgun, or even Plasma Pistol. Needler wouldn't have though, that weapon suckkkkkkks.

I think he operates under the same extremes in opinion that he's criticizing GAF at large for operating under. It's also fruitless to criticize a community as large as GAF -- of course there will be shitheads. But then there will also be people who have genuine criticisms of games and other issues that are levelheaded.
 
I'm not really someone who posts here often and although some comments on this board are extreme sometimes to come out and use such a deplorable word as that in a tweet shows his character. Which in my opinion even using that word puts you below a lot of online cretins. Well done sir bravo, in berating others you berated yourself.

Even if there are a lot of harsh points on here there is a lot of valuable feedback also and people make constructive criticism. Which if some developers actually listened and learned maybe would have produced a better product.

I dont think that its that they dont listen, i think its that they have other people to answer to. When the games release date is here, they have to ship it.

I think is very unfortunate in this case. 343 already had a hard time selling people on Halo4s multiplayer or the Halo CE using Reach online. They finally found a way to win someone of those people back, and then do this. IMO its unacceptable. They can listen all they want, but dont ship a game in this condition period. Especially one which the franchise actually invented matchmaking.

But the question everyone has on their mind is: Does that mean the end of the 'work' week (Friday) or the actual end of the week (Sat or Sun)?

I'll be okay if it launches by early Saturday honestly, if it serves to fix MOST of the MM problems and stability issues with party and custom games.
 
If it was just the servers not matching people up I would be much more optimistic about this whole thing. The amount of glitches extends far far beyond that though. Crashes galore, party issues, team issues, etc. It might be the glitchiest game I have ever dealt with. My friend and I have to shut the whole game down after every game just to have any hope of playing anything or even partying up.

Luckily, the multiplayer runs great in Halo 2 and 3 for the part. I get black screen and disconnects sometimes, but really good for the most part. Halo 1 has some major issues however. If Halo 1 gets voted for It will even reset my whole system sometimes. Its ridiculous.

I'm praying the patch pulls off a miracle, but I'm skeptical. How anyone could have sat down for any amount of time with the game and thought it was ok to release baffles me.

Needler is a beast in Campaign though and it's fun to mess around with in multiplayer. It's funny to watch the needles track when you shoot them long range.

Truly. Its your most important franchise by far. In fact it should be the only developer and game that gets all the time it needs. Ironically they probably won't win November anyways.
 
Welp, after beating Halo 1 and 4, I just got my first achievement glitch. I beat Metropolis on legendary and the achievement didn't pop for it. It even says on the main menu that I beat it on legendary..... Here's to hoping it unlocks later.

Has anyone else here had this happen? Did your achievement end up unlocking later, or did you have to replay the level to get it?

Happens all the time. As long as the achievement itself says unlocked you will get it. Might take a day, might take four weeks but it will happen.
 
Playing CE solo on Heroic for the first time. Man, I had no idea this shit was going to be so hard. I think I'm toward the end of the assault on the control room mission and certain parts are frustrating as hell.

A few achievements unlocked like a minute or so later, but nothing longer than that...

i still have lot of achievements that have not unlocked for me lik 10+
 
I have a achievement that is says done, unlocking now. It's given me the score but doesn't show it as unlocked yet. It's been like that for a week now.

It's happening to me tonight too, the first few H2 missions and terminal achievements popped fine but they started lagging and then stopped popping altogether (and unlike last time they don't say 100% done)

It's a pain in the arse.

Halo CE online co-op is a joke. Off-host lag is an absolute unbearable and unfixed from the 2011 release, complete disconnects, slideshow/rubberbanding lag.

I am this close to asking for a refund. So done.

I'll try again when I get back from Thanksgiving break on December 1st but for now they can fuck off with this broken ass game.

You won't need to. It will unlock eventually. I had it happen to me last night and a ton with Wolfenstein. When I stopped playing I had a GS of 960 on Wolfenstein and a couple of weeks later I noticed it bumped to 1000 GS. (It was the first game I ever 1000'd so I gave myself a little pat on the back)

The campaign coop online has always been terrible. I truly don't understand the shock from people on this. Can dedicated servers even solve coop lag?
 
I dropped back in today for half an hour to try matchmaking a Big Team Battle. After 5 attempts over 30 minutes, didn't get a match.
 
Yeah my achievements started being weird for me too. Took like 20 minutes for the Tough Luck skull one from Halo 3 to pop. Then I beat Tsavo Highway and didn't get that one.

Fyrewulf or someone who knows more on the technical side could explain it, but I don't think its something they can improve due to how it handles the networking.

They never said they were improving the coop online experience, it was poor in 3, ODST, Reach, and CEA.
