I wonder if any improvements and enhancements to the engine throuhgout the work of MGSV will make its way to Ground Zeroes as well.

I will have a super duper Graphics & Performance Guide next week for this. No NVIDIA tech beyond SLI, I'm just pretty hyped for it :)

Yo Andy, find and make sure Nvidia tries to get an HBAO profile for this. Work for it baby. It would be sooo worth it.

That looks....nicer that I expected. Still not a graphical tour de force but it look pretty enough.

I assume the graphical advancements will make it to the console versions of TPP.

eh.... i wouldn't hold your breath, not saying it's impossible, but we saw TPP on console only three months ago and it didn't hold any particular graphical improvements over when we saw it at E3.

I don't know if this has been pointed out yet, but the driver profile for Ground Zeroes is in the Nvidia Drivers already.

Interestingly, it looks like The Phantom Pain executable is covered in the profile as well. Maybe we'll be seeing TPP sooner rather than later?

Edit: Thought it was only visible through Nvidia Inspector, but you can see it in the Nvidia control panel as well.

No but boy will the PC version be absolutely fucking amazing, but the engine scales so well that to be honest I'm already impressed by how it looks on the PS4/Xbone.

I believe!

it means ok or yes. It's common to say it while in conversation in Japanese (I guess).

The extra stuff the PC version gets is there because it's not limited by console specs. If they want to keep 60FPS for TPP it will most likely look about the same as GZ. Of course they will be able to improve some stuff because they have more time to optimize, but don't expect them to get TPP to run at 60FPS and have all the graphical stuff the PC version does.

probably best not to assume that. gtav was popping up in AMD drivers way before the console release last year, and that shit isn't coming until january.

i do think TPP is coming sooner rather than later though. and on all platforms.

Youtube is a bit harsh on my side, so I can't watch the video again.. don't know why i encounter 502 error.
But this is the PS4 intro.

And here's Kojima Station Footage:

Okay YouTube working again. See now ?

In the clip you send both have depth of field (with the PC being Bokeh though). You can see it quite obviously on his shoulder as he extends the folding-stock of the smg.

Oh, okay. Well, I though it was absent because the recoil thing on the weapon didn't appeared to be blured.

The stock is actually blurred, but since it is just a flat gaussian it is uniform throughout the blurred parts. Bokeh has a higher circle of confusion the fruther it moves from the focal distance.

Unfortunately the Kojima Station footage has some washed out colors due to the stream quality and what not. Or the blacks are crushed in the PS4 footage there. Hard to tell which is the intended image.

Edit: the fact that I notice and care about this stuff is sometimes so bizarre when I think about it in a disembodied way.

Exactly ! You're right !

So? It's a PC game. Xbox buttons aren't just normal, they're expected.

Xbox prompts are expected on a platform that has mouse and keyboard as standard?

The only reason it is 'expected' now is because Sony never officially supported the DS3 on PC.

The DS4 can pair via bluetooth and doesn't require any special drivers there is no reason for developers of multiplatform games not to include Playstation buttons as well.

Do you think someone will be able to mod DS4 button prompts in the game? Or does that depend on whether the game will be moddable or not?
