Dammit... I got my preorder in-store pickup email from Best Buy and only two of the six are going to be in, supposedly; Zelda and Diddy. The same sort of shit happened with wave 1 where I didn't get my Marth or Villager. Ended up going all over town to track 'em down and buy them at other retailers.

Decided to pop into TRU while I was out earlier and all they had left for wave 2 were some Zeldas. The pegs for Little Mac and Diddy (with tags) were both empty.

Guess I'll be hitting Target first thing tomorrow when they open in hopes they're holding onto their stock until then.

I had originally ordered 6 of each Amiibo when they went up for pre-order through my distributor, but they were short on the Diddy Kongs. Seems like out of these 3 he's the rare one.

Also, I just realized you might've thought I bought them for myself. I actually just stocked them at my store ~ sorry for the poor wording!

You should pre-order multiple ones. I have a store pick up pre-order and a shipping order as well. I wouldn't put it past the regular employees of GS.

I was told by an associate that "With popular items like this it's first come first serve and preorders don't really matter." The Manager then gave me back my money, made my Shulk free and guaranteed it wouldn't ever happen again.

For anyone in Houston, the Toys R Us by Old Spanish Rd and the one at HWY 59 in Humble have plenty of Little Macs. I couldn't find that many Diddy Kongs though, just a few here and there with terrible packaging. Surprisingly, Zelda was missing from both of those Toy R Us but not the others I also stopped by.

I'm so glad I got the ones I needed and now I'm up for round two for Captain Falcon. That's the one I really want and I missed out on the pre-orders.

I've been around several stores in the Portland OR area and nobody has any Mac or Diddy left but Zelda is everywhere. I have a feeling Diddy will be more rare than Mac but it might not be much of a point if both are hard to find.

I am interested in seeing what eBay looks like in another 2 weeks from now.

That'd make so mad. I'm glad you got your money back and a free Shulk, but the trouble of getting Little Mac... it's not worth it.

I'm glad EB Games here in Aus practice differently than their American counterparts.

i would call corporate gamestop and tell them about that im sure they will compensate you for your pre-order being sold before your hold limit was up.

I think the problem this time is partly on Nintendo for rushing these out or trying to before Christmas. Nintendo themselves was hush hush on a release day for these and now we have half with no street date and half that are delayed until later in the month. Best Buy is dropping the ball on this for sure but I think Wave 3 will be a little better organized.

I went to another GameStop today just to see how their Amiibo situation was. All they had left were 4; Link, Peach, Pickachu, and Yoshi. The clerk told me that there was a line an hour before the store opened for the wave 2 ones. They only had one of each that were not pre-ordered.

I didn't see it posted, but I wonder if the delay of the other 3 figures from Wave 2 in the US has to do with the port strike in LA...seems a lot of things across the country are getting delayed because of it.
