Make sure that you're entering your cookie data completely into the settings.txt file. Also make sure your data is between the quotation marks already on the file. When your done it'll look something like:

with nothing else in the file

Take with the salt but damn, Ubisoft games are already 1400 rub, other majors are around the same price. I'm sure everyone wanted to raise prices long time ago so this would be the right time.

I'm pretty sure greenlight is kind of a democracy, and people overwhelmingly supported it.

What does valve say to those people now?

That they have last right of refusal and final say on everything. Same as always.

They also add a bunch of games that never touch greenlight. Greenlight also has no specific rules for which games get picked up and which don't. Valve could leave the #1 ranked game floundering in its depths and only really have to deal with the PR from its fans. They are willing to excise the part of the audience that demands one game to gain the audience that would be repulsed by its inclusion.

This is business.

Wrong. This weakens the argument when people refuse to acknowledge that it IS censorship. It's corporate censorship through the refusal of marketplace access. And that's perfectly fine for a company to do that. Private censorship happens all the time, some of it dumb, some of it very good.

Not selling it on your store is not censorship.

Sure it is, it's just not government censorship. Censorship need not be written into law, and it can be implemented at any level, including self-censorship for fear of reprisal / not being sold / etc. It is true that some people use the word 'censorship' to implicitly mean 'official' censorship, but common usage does not.

For example, in the US the 'X' rating was initially not meant for 'porn', but any adult themed film - even A Clockwork Orange and Evil Dead were X rated. However, the vast majority of theaters would not show any X rated films, because they didn't want to be associated with the stigma of 'X rated'. The result was that studios self-censored to avoid the X-rating, because it was too often financial suicide (despite the long term success of my two examples, but that's a different phenomenon).

That's still censorship, even though it's completely indirect and the result of several disparate social/financial pressures. There was no law against X rated films, it was just pressure. It's called 'soft censorship' but common usage just truncates that to 'censorship'.

I'm not saying Steam doesn't have the right to sell / not sell whatever they want. Of course they do. But it is undeniably a form of censorship when a primary retailer refuses to sell something based on content. All you need to do to see why is change the 'objectionable content' to something most (rightly) don't find objectionable -- like if Steam decided to remove games like Mass Effect or Dragon Age that allowed same sex relationships -- to see why some might find any case objectionable.

I know of another large distributor of content (whose name I shall not mention) that sells anything and everything -- but marks any racist/objectionable material in house behind the scenes and donates 100% of profits from that material to various charities fighting those issues. A strange yet somehow beautiful solution to a very complex problem.

Really? I was doing some checking earlier and by my calculations you'd either break even, or lose money as you're paying full price on the emoticons/backgrounds and losing some when you sell the sacks due to Valve/publisher fees.

It's not the russians. Is the same effect that occurs in a bank run. As prices goes up everyone feels safe and comfortable. But as soon as someone heavily undercuts the other, people panic and start selling cheaper because they thing they market will collapse.

Actually, one thing I should mention; I think if you want to win something, try and win it before the final day. I have a feeling if you haven't won it by the third day, its just going to become a lot harder at that point. However, as a consequence, I also expect gem prices will rise then. But the rise may be balanced by people who are selling gems realizing they aren't going to win. To be seen which force is more powerful.

If you have around 4k gems left and a hardcore collector you can get Cricket Captain 2014. Hasn't dropped below US$18 before and is one of those yearly management sims like Football Manager so it may disappear at some point.
