So I take it wins mean a whole lot more then they ever have in Halo match making at least for team death matches for rankings?

Out of my 10 matches I don't know how many I was placed in but I was put in 2nd tier Silver.

My friend came over so I can show him. I let him play and he haphazardly did horrible in trying to get used to the game and had dropped my rank down.

I need more maps to play on.
As I understand it, that is all that matters along with who you beat or who you got beat by.

What are people thinking about some of these networking errors that are very similar to the MCC matchmaking issues? Overall, Halo 5 has a much cleaner matchmaking interface and appears to find games slightly quicker on average... but it still seems to take too long sporadically. It's also really annoying that you can't back out of matchmaking after you've found greater than 1 person. I've really noticed matchmaking hiccups when the game has identified 7, and is looking for the final player.

There's been a couple times where I've had to shut down the Halo 5 beta app from the dashboard in order to re-enter matchmaking.

I had to lower my sensitivity to 2 as well, much to my surprise. Probably due to less autoaim.

Forced myself to adjust to Default because Halo4 has no control over where Ground Pound hits. I'd still like a tweaked version of Default.

Yep, without the auto aim keeping the reticule on someone lower sensitivity is better for me as well. Anything else overshoots.

Halo 5 feels the closest to halo ce of all of the sequels to me. I feel like halo 2 was a whole new game and 3, reach, and 4 were sequels to halo 2. This feels like a sequel to halo ce to me. I like it so far. Get rid of the damn sword though.

Heh, The Prophets Bane is fine to me. It's funny though, when you kill one enemy and he/she has team mates nearby, they all line up and come at you one by one like moths drawn to a flame. I find that odd behavior, if I see a team mate die by the sword I back up and go the other way.

Let's be honest and just hope to high heaven that MCC is fixed, because deep down we know Halo 5 is a garbage, corporate led box ticking exercise to maximize pre-orders and opening 3-7 days of sales and then drop it like a fresh turd.

This is a joke, right?

Honestly if the Recon scheme was tweaked to put reload on the X button and sprint on RB it would be perfect for me

I'd be happy if they could add some aiming acceleration, I over aim all the time and it's causing me to play really bad and sometimes miss stationary targets at range.

It's also like scoping doesn't lower your looking speed, so it's really sensitive even on low aim settings.

All the more reason to bring back backpack reloading. LOL.

Seriously though, I love backpack reloading and I would love it to return in Halo 5.

There are actual mechanics to sprint, so upping the base speed and removing sprint kills those new mechanics. I like no charging shields while running and shoulder ramming personally. and it does add to the overall gameplay experience. And as for ADS, I can't even begin to see the problem some people have with it.

I agree. I hip fire 80%+ of the time and I constantly have 18-20+ kills each game. Only at long range to I use ADS.

Yep. I keep trying to backpack reload in this. No reason not to have it. I like that they went back to halo ce weapon respawns. Actually creates some battles for the power weapons.

This game really feels and plays amazingly for me outside of some of the movement options. Clamber and sprint and all that feels so unnatural to me... I'll just have to get used to it. But the gunplay is SO good. Little to no experiences with people sprinting from battles; shots register; all weapons feel useful; it seriously feels great.

Too much visual clutter; can't see shit on Truth. I get completely lost when I respawn on both maps for a few moments. I had this problem with Halo 4 because of the one-color scheme of each map. Visuals are okay otherwise.

Rid of the respawn music and bro animations, please.

How is that calculated? Do assists hold the same weight as a kill?

I believe its how many kills and assist you get with one life. Or something like that.

From what I have found traditionally kda is calculated (K+A)/D but some people have said that medals are factored in as well ( I am not sure about that though).

I think 343's math is broken right now....so it's hard to tell what they are using

Still not feeling this game at all.

I felt the same way for the first few matches. Give it some time (10 matches), eventually the controls and figuring out the sweet spot (in regards to distance) for each weapon will become more comfortable. Once that happens, there is no looking back.

Good connection option is a must, I'm constantly playing against US players. And it's horrible. Halo 4 didn't have it, and it was the reason I quit playing that game, 6 months after release about 30-60% of all players on my recent players list were from another continent and I just couldn't take it anymore. At least I'm learning US states' abbreviations lol.

First match of the evening and i'm on an overseas server, grenade throw lag again and every kill cam shows me already dead, not before I die.

343 you really have to give us server selection otherwise this all goes to waste.

I'm starting to realise Halo's biggest problems are the "traditional" Halo fans keeping the game in the past.

Halo needs drop in/drop out. Between matchmaking and the game trying to fill a lobby before starting a match it's causing the wait times to just be ridiculous. With drop in/drop out they should be able to reduce the wait times considerably and obviously solve the quitter problem.

I'm glad they released the MCC so all the traditionals can stop fucking crying and play their archaic version of Halo. 343 needs to completely release the shackles and really move Halo forward.
