It's just unbelievable. Don't get me wrong, I love Nintendo. I own a WiiU, 3DS XL, and have pre-ordered the MM n3DS XL, charger shenanigans or not. I even buy all my Nintendo first party games digitally, despite not agreeing with their digital account practices.
But I will gladly call them out on their shit. And this is some shit. This, along with not bringing the n3DS regular to the U.S. is just some shit.
The Vita is still sold that way.

I do agree that it's shady to leave out a charger seeing as how it's an essential component for the system.
on the other hand, these devices are powered by the exact same adapter as the original DS, so there are a lot of people that do have a charger already and don't need another one. I know for me personally, the charger for my 3DS is still sitting in the box. I've never touched it.

The older model have been replaced. Any of those without memory cards are leftovers.

I hate Nintendo because of their shit. I think they are one of the worst companies around. Wii U is horrible. (Has improved from pure crap) and I was planning to get a new 3DS since this is the 3DS that should have released. This is does it, I dislike Nintendo.
I just enjoy their games mostly from nostalgia. I hate how they run a business.
No such thing as having too many chargers. More so when it costs 1$ MAX for Nintendo to produce. Selling it as a separate SKU raises that number highly. Simply anyone that has a basic education would know this saves nothing for the consumer. Only allows Nintendo to make more money.
I'll make this simple for anyone.
Include charger = minus 1 dollar profit.
Don't incude charger = plus 10 dollar extra revenue.

That one has internal memory. You couldn't save anything on the OG Vita without an mc.

Well, I do know about the internal memory on the 2000s, but it still doesn't include a memory card (like the equally priced BL2 bundle).
Honestly, I think Sony should really let up on their memory card prices. Charging as much as they do is pretty scummy. It's not even like it's superior technology in any way.
But..that's not the point of the thread, so I digress. I think both Sony and Nintendo are doing some pretty crappy things with their handhelds, and to be fair, at least Sony changed their new revision of the Vita to MicroUSB and included SOME memory (albeit a pathetic amount).

If you download games, you'll want to buy a memory card anyway. The included memory is more than enough for game saves.

The initial point was that you couldn't use the vita without one back then and that sucked, but now you can and its better.
The original poster brought it up to distract from the point of this being a shitty move on nintendo's part.
Till this day people still shit on the Sony for the memory card thing. If anything, Sony has it worse than Nintendo.

It's possible that I missed your point.
I realize its been happening outside the US for a long time already, and its a really silly thing to do. Tons of parents will leave the store without a charger and be annoyed when they realize a necessary component has been left out. Gamestop will probably warn every customer, but Target and Walmart won't. I know its right on the box, but that isn't enough. It feels like they are giving up on attracting new customers.

Fair enough but even the OG 3DS have you 4GB in an SD. =P
I have a good idea as to why Nintendo did this with the revision, if you compare the boxes you'll be amazed how much smaller the New box is, and that's a lot of shipping+storage+shelf overhead that gets cut out of the equation over bulk distribution. The chargers are probably basically peanuts to them and, as I said somewhere earlier in the thread, they could have included a stupid little USB adapter. The cost cutting or would be price reduction was not in the adapter, it was in the size of the box.
From what I can tell , he was perhaps blinded by nostalgia and his love for pokemon but this pushed him off the edge.

I do hate the company, greedy idiots run it. I like their games. I bought two Pokemon games because I used to play Pokemon Blue. I also own a Wii U and two Wii U Mario games. you think because I like one of the companies outputs that I cant attack said company? What I am suppose to defend them? Because I enjoy Mario and Pokemon? Not that I buy every refart of them. I skipped everything between Nes - Wii U. Only truly owned a Gameboy Color but I have played with a GBA and DS.
Actually pretty simple.
This angers me because they can be much better.
But it came with a power cable yeh? Then it's not the same thing.

Yup, it was with XL that they switched to 4GB. Which is still better than what Sony did at launch which was come with no storage.
I get that...but you are supporting these decisions who hate so much by doing so and honestly the Pokemon purchases are just a waste of money.

I do enjoy their games, infact alot. I don't care about supporting them or not. I'll play the fuck out of Pokemon Blue right now. I think they have great developers. I personally haven't owned a Nintendo system for a while. But I had my fun with their games in some way or form. so when I bought Wii U, I was met with a lot of disappointment. This random no charger thing sorta grinded my gears so much from the constant bone headed things they been doing.
Their way of thinking Is more outdated then a tea party member.
And I am infact happy for this flack they are getting. Maybe it can bring some modernization in Nintendo.
Just how I love SMB3, I can hate Nintendo. But if it makes easier for your to deal with my rage. You can change hate to "very much disappointed".
You keep mentioning the Pokemon games as support. I got a great deal on them. Both 20 dollars each at release. Selling one would ultimately make one free. That didn't happen because I would have much rather buy two 3DSs to play with someone else. As I know no one with a 3DS. Girlfriend was at West Point. Friends have Playstations and Xboxes. I personally buy digitally. I had a horrible experience with Wii U. But I bought a 3DS XL anyway. Wasn't happy with it. Returned it.... POINT IS. I am more than allowed to complain about Nintendo.
And I won't be buying a PSVITA it's the inverse of a 3DS.
