I never got to see any tests done. She threw them out so her parents wouldn't find them...okay...And she said "I'm not sure it was accurate. It was a faded strip and it could be either or I think." No idea what test she took. Told her we should just buy another and she said "it's gonna be the same." I think she's being stubborn cause she's panicking. But what I was able to convince her of was her and I scheduled a doc's appointment next week to be 100% sure but I'm already freaking out.

A faded line could mean that she messed up, or its too early in the pregnancy to confirm. Do the test again, buy an expensive kit. It's gonna be more expensive than usual, but the peace of mind will be more than worth it. The fact that she is mysterious about it could mean that she is either panic or that there might be trouble ahead.

If she was truly scared or worried, and loved you, she would not bs around and ask you to be there and do the test with you and communicate with you all the time.

The fact that she is suddenly distant, cold, vague about the results, discarding the test results is VERY worrying and might means that she will be taking you for a ride.

Pretty sure this is it. The evasiveness and reluctance she's showing sounds like she knows, but doesn't want to come right out and say it. Why wouldn't she? Probably because she isn't ready to have a child, but also doesn't want to get rid of it. Some people just can't deal with having an abortion mentally, even if it would be better in the long term. I'm a dude and regardless of my circumstances, I wouldn't ask my gf to get one.

I was referring to one of the potential reasons she's sounding so evasive. I can't read her mind. Sorry to hear, OP. Hopefully it ends up being negative but you have to take that risk if you don't use a condom. I've been getting complacent lately with my wife and we will have sex without a condom for a few minutes and then I put one on. This thread is going to help be a reminder to always use one. More like hundreds of thousands of dollars. Last year on the news I saw that the average cost of raising a child to 18 was around $250K

I believe it when people say that raising a kid is worth it but I want to be able to give my future child one day everything that I want to and I am not in a situation right now to do such a thing.
