Shitty games that your dumb ass paid full price for

Destiny Ghost Edition. Box came damaged too. Played the game...found it meh, but I loved the community so I kept playing it for that aspect.

The 1st DLC was basically a "fuck you for playing this game since day 1" so I dropped the game soon after that. Not sure if I'm going to play the 2nd one even though I already redeemed it.
Same for me although I enjoyed the game play. I made some friends and played consistently with them along with real life friends. Iaxed lut 2 classes...it was fun. I never touched the DLC as I got wrapped up in DA:I which I loved. Not sure if I'm going to go back...

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
Battlefield 4
Persona 4 Arena (good game, I'm just not big into fighters, thought I could get thru it because it's persona)
Persona Q (see above, only replace with Etrian Oddysey)

This POS right here.

Dragon age 2

Broke countless nights playing origins. Sat there and beat dragon age 2 in one playthrough. between the half assed story and retreading of the same dungeons, Haven't bought a bioware game since then.

I am tempted to get inquisition though....

All I wanted was a visually upgrade with new gore FX.

Instead.......we got a horrible sequel that deserved so much better.

Brink. I am still butthurt over this game. It's the one game that I've felt robbed over. I LOVE Splash Damage's take on shooters and I was so fucking hyped for Brink. I was ready to relive my hours upon hours spent in the old days of RTCW:ET. It was going to be grand.

Not.

FF13 is another, I foolishly bought this game twice too. As I thought buying the PS3 version would magically make the game fun (I originally bought it for 360).

FF14 was bittersweet for a while, but it lead to ARR so I don't really feel bad anymore.

Oh and speaking of MMOs, WIldstar. Never again am I buying into MMO hype. People said ESO was shit when it was good, and Wildstar was amazing when it was ass.

SF-X-Tekken_box_art.jpg

This game. Somehow my friend convinced me it would be the biggest fighting discipline in FGC only leaving me to realise that nobody cared for this at all =/

I went along with this because my main SF4 buddy was picking it up. I should have went with my gut. We did have a blast playing co-op online though. I hope that gets implemented in more fighting games in the future.

Star Wars KOTOR. Now there is a somewhat fun game in there somewhere and it has seen mild success, but at launch with that hype...it was devastating when I got to max level that was about it. Still my harshest lesson to avoid hype.

Red Dead Redemption. Not that I'm calling it a shit game, but I got bored within one hour of playing it and had no desire to continue. I still to this day cannot get into it.

Saw my friend play it, thought it was boring as hell. If it was a little more accurate historically (ie not based on the mainstream histroical teachings in the educational systems) it might be a BIT more fun.

Terminator 3 rise of the machines. I was a huge terminator fan and wanted to check it out. Was pretty much a below average fps.

Wcw/nwo thunder. Thought it was going to be like the wcw games for the n64. Boy was I wrong. They used the awful smacksdown engine. I paid 50 bucks for it and traded it back that day and got like 15 bucks for it.

State of emergency. Game was repetitive and boring. Fell into the hype trap because it was a Rockstar game.

Slaughter sport. Was a fighting game that game our for the Genesis. It was supposed to be bloody and controversial all it ended up bring was an absurdly bad fighting game.

Street smart. For some reason I thought this would be like street fighter. It was just an awful game.

Home alone. Not quite sure what i was thinking. Lucky for me I was able to return it.

Mass Effect 2

Complete garbage, somehow I made it to the end (rushed really) and I was presented with the most laughable final boss ever, I thought it was a joke, I still think it is.

The most recent one...

Not only did I buy the Master Chief Collection, but I bought a whole console for it. Now I should qualify, that when it works it is not a crappy game. It is in fact an amazing game. But when it doesn't work it is a completely disappointing mess of a game that makes me want my £300+ back.

I'll defend Duke Nukem Forever. I mean, I feel sorry for anyone who bought it day one expecting a modern FPS experience, but I knew exactly what I was getting into. It is the zombified corpse of a game development that stretched out over 14 years. And as a history lesson about how game design has evolved over those 14 years, it's really quite something. To most people it probably isn't worth £2, but on launch day I paid £55 for the Balls of Steel Edition and I have never regretted it.

Destiny

The Incredible Hulk (Edward Norton movie)

Marvel vs Capcom 3 (Ultimate came out a few months later, which was complete bullshit)

See that landscape over there? Yea, you can't go there.

Tbh it was only a shitty game after 3-4 weeks and many hours invested.
Then I saw the truth of what the game is; an Activi$ion soul-stealing hamster wheel.
PO'd that I bought the digital version day one, and can't trade it in.

I thought of some more for me.

SimCity x2
APB
NBA 2k14 (my first basketball game, ended up hating it due to VC system)
Final Fantasy XIII
You Sir, Are Being Hunted
Cities XL
Towns
Sims 4

For the record, I got Watch Dogs at launch, but I don't regret it, as I played the shit out of it, despite hating Aiden(sp?). I regret Destiny digital the most of all the games listed.

Not only did I not pay $60, but I paid $89.99 for Destiny Digital Guardian Edition.

This is the first time I've ever regretted a purchase since the PS2 era.
