There's 2 different Bowsers? Like they look different or they only work with certain games? So one will work with Smash and one works with Mario Party?
Is Link (the non-toon one) seriously becoming uncommon? Maybe it's just the usual demand steadily eating him up while there hasn't been a restock of him in a while. The four for $44 deal at TRU all week probably is chewing through stock, too. I know I took advantage of that deal this morning to grab a few commons (Mario, Yoshi, Zelda).
Toysrus honored my instore reservation for Lucario. Bringing me up to 21/21 of all non Nintendo World American amiibos.
Since I freed them from the plastic shells I found a Japanese Metaknight on Amazon for fairly cheap (I wasn't able to reserve a Meta from Best Buy and I'm not confident in them stocking them on release like Target is). I have all other Amiibos reserrved in store through Toysrus and Gamestop (just Shulk only).

A target near my house apparently has 12 Rosalinas in the back and only for 4 bowsers and 2 sheiks for release date. A couple were looking for shiek when I was casually looking at the amiibos.

Yes, there's two different versions of Bowsers, Peach, Yoshi, Mario, and Luigi (one for Smash and one for Mario Party). There's only one version of Toad for Mario Party so far.

No, the characters will run the same across all compatible games. (ex. Smash Bowser Amiibo will function as MP Bowser in Mario Party 10)
It doesn't matter, they both function identically. They're just different sculpts. The reason they're releasing them is that they only hold data for one game at a time, so people using their Smash Bowser for Smash Bros. don't have to blow away that data to write Mario Party data on him.

We do, we just don't want to get as bad as them while also hating the fact that they perpetuate stereotypes about us that lead to people outcasting all those associated and we don't want to be outcasted.
Who knew amiibos went so deep into our psyches?
Ugh... Stores should get in trouble for doing something like that. Technically some money was paid up front too (is it $1 or 5?) to have it be put on hold.

Anyone here by chance order from Japan-SAMURAI-Shop? I ordered a Little Mac back in December and chose the cheapest international shipping which doesn't include tracking. I just checked their seller page and it seems like the place might be a scam, with only a few positive reviews total (although there's only like 20 reviews entirely). Also, none of their products are available so it seems like they closed up shop.
I really hope Nintendo does a reissue of Little Mac otherwise it doesn't seem like I'm getting him for under $60.

Also, for Canadians, EBGames has every Amiibo but Rosalina, Mega Man and Sonic as of today, but in limited quantities. There aren't enough Shulks and Sheiks to satisfy all preorders, but the rest of the preorders will be fulfilled later in February. There only will be enough Ikes and King Dededes for preorders. There will be enough Bowsers and Toon Links for "limited walk-ins."

Tru held my preorder. Guy told me 40-50 people showed up and no one got one because preorders. They turned away a big line before that line... so a lot of people.

You might want to quote that photo, it's quite big.
Sheik might be a bit hard to find, but I agree that Toon Link will probably be rather common.

Just threw down $30 for Captain Falcon on Amazon. Didn't really see another way to pick him up.

I would definitely say Sheik is rare, and Toon Link while not as rare as Sheik is still very uncommon, but will likely be more common.

Little Mac and Trinity Amiibo are pretty hard to find now.
Toon Link and Sheik were some of the highest stocked here.
Ike and Shulk are the most consistently rare Wave 3 here.
