DI "realistic" heads are twice the size of "realistic" Amiibo heads (just checked my Black Widow compared to Marth and her's definitely twice the size of his head).

You can tell Smash Amiibo were designed after the fact of the original renders for Smash, unlike other toy to life games where the toys were designed first, hence resulting in all those supports that's much more skillfully hidden in other ttl figures.

Notice in Mario Party 10 amiibo none of the Amiibo's needed supports.

The face on most Disney infinity figures are better too. More lively. Though that could be contributed to the more uniformed direction the Disney figures take. While Mario, Dedede, Bowser and other amiibo can look as good as the Disney figures, characters that are more realistic like Link, Marth, etc. don't. The Disney figures all have bigger heads allowing for more detail.

It's funny because I read this and was like "hmm really?" So I looked at the picture again and noticed Elsa's eyes are a bit wonky. Like one pupil is towards more up and the other is a bit down. Am I the only one seeing this or what?

He's definitely the best looking amiibo that I own so far. I am super excited to get my Dedede just because everyone who has one already has nothing but praise for the quality. The posted pics of him already look amazing.

great idea for getting wave 3b amiibos guys, assuming the 13th is the TRU release date legit (my local one has that as the release date posted), as well as the 13th for shulk and others at gamestop, if its sooner then this post is pointless

people who didnt order shulk will be at gamestop at 10am trying to get the exclusive, as well as deedle and ike
bestbuy will have people camping for metaknight still hoping this is the release date, as well as ike and deedle

toys r us campers shall prosper due to the fact there will be no exclusive release and only ike and deedle will be coming out here

there are no gaffers or redditers at any of the places ive gone to early and all of them have had at least 20+ lined up, im assuming my town just goes off release dates on retail sites or everybody is antisocial

Kirby has that weird thing in the back so I wouldn't say S Tier but close. Of the ones I have, Samus, Pit, Luigi, Rosalina, and Yoshi, I'd say Samus is best then Luigi then Rosalina then Pit then Yoshi.

You barely notice Kirby's seam, he's pretty much perfect but it's almost impossible to screw him up (and Nintendo has with some of the eye issues).

Well, from what I can tell, most retailers consider it as software and thus you can do an even exchange. The reason they don't allow you to return opened software is because they're afraid people installed it at home or used it already and thus no longer need the software and thus is essentially getting their money back while retaining the software. But they're ok with even exchange since they still have your money.

I got my Rosalina today. Was in excellent condition. Glad to get my first exclusive and first Wave 3 in hand (have all pre-ordered). Lucario shipped but still waiting on Amazon, Best Buy, and Gamestop to ship the rest. Hopefully the rest ship soon and arrive safely.

This thread moves really quickly, and I haven't been keeping up with the madness - does anyone know the status of Ike in the US? I pre-ordered one off Amazon back in November, and the order status says they're trying to figure out a delivery date, so it doesn't seem like it'll be shipping in the near future..

But it seems some people in this thread already have Ike - are those from other countries, or is Ike already available in the US from other retailers?

Ike hasn't shown up widely in the US yet. GameStop is expecting him on 2/13 last I heard, and that seems to be about when they'll start showing up.

Amazon seems to be lagging behind with Wave 3 in general though. They told me to expect my Bowser to arrive between March 5-10....so I canceled it after picking one up in a store. I still have Sheik ordered there though and it still just says "we have no idea when we're shipping it."

Bowser, and non female Mario characters look fantastic. Same with DDD and a handful of others. Once you get the more realistic characters with smaller heads and more human like proportions there's a pretty big quality difference imo. I mean most still look pretty good but imagine how good they could all look if they took a more stylized approach to all the characters the way Disney did with infinity. There's a reason the Toon Link amiibo looks so much better then normal Link.

I agree with the theory. I'm not a huge fan of Disney Infinity's specific style choice, though.
