Nasr said that the car is predictable, easy to handle, and that the Ferrari engine is similar to the Merc engine he drove last year on Williams. These are good signs, especially because the car seems to be reliable.

Sounds like good news for Ferrari.

It's been said that the Sauber crew looks excited too, but nobody expects them to win or to come back to the podium, not even themselves. Their objective is to gather points. They won't lap anyone, but they'll probably won't be as bad as people expect them to be.

They are going to be last, I feel safe in saying that.

They sound just like Red Bull of years gone by.

I can only imagine how much they roll around laughing afterwards. Don't know how they manage to keep a straight face.

Speaking of Red Bull, they're on a new front suspension:

He's either pulling a Red Bull or had a good laugh, when he said it.

“We’re keeping an eye on the opposition and Ferrari especially have been an eye-opener for us in the last couple of days,” said Rosberg.
I can promise you it wasn't a joke when he said it.

Sauber is fishing for new sponsors with fast times

I wonder if Lewis will do another 100+ laps tomorrow

As a Ferrari fan i'd be happy if we're better than Red Bull and Honda. Mercedes is gonna dominate anyway.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Ferrari turned out to be like Williams last year. After finally overcoming the fatal flaw, they discover the rest of the car was actually pretty brilliant.

well at least I can stop whining about engine noise this year.

not gonna get my hopes up regarding Ferrari.

I get the feeling that this year wont' be as easy of a cake walk for Merc as last. I expect them to take both trophies, but towards the end of the season I can see them having to cover their asses. No Singapore and Sochi.

As long as it is at least a two team, four drive scrap for the majority of the season, I will be so happy. Ideally, HAM v. ROS v. VET v. RAI with some ALO thrown in for good measure.

Naa spice it up, Lotus have the stub nose and the Merc engine, so maybe its Ham, Ros, Gro & Mal.

Imagine.

That would be insane race into the first corner, just to escape Crashtor. I cannot imagine him in second or even third fastest car. Grosjean would be happy, because he would gain two places every second race or so :D

I wouldn't discount them just yet at least, despite everyone thinking they were doomed with no money and all the staff gone elsewhere, they still churned out a nose that only Merc were able to get ready in time, and they had experience from last year.

Lotus generally managed to have half decent cars and Williams showed what a half decent car with the Merc PU could achieve.

I haven't seen this rumour anywhere else, but according to Viasat Motor(Swedish broadcaster) there's some talk around the Jerez press room that Marussia could make it to the grid, as a McLaren/Honda junior team.

They first reported it this morning, and now Janne Blomqvist(F1 commentator) says that he's heard more talk of something happening.
Inital report

I'm not that good at reading Swedish, so I can't give you guys a full translation. Expect this to be bullshit, but I really want it to be true.

SUPER AGURI 2. BELIEVE.

I really can't see that happening (at least for this year). The team don't even have a base any more as it's been bought by Haas.

It would certainly be beneficial though for Honda to have another couple of engines out there though doing mileage.

My armchair expert analysis: Sauber is pushing almost to the limit, while all the others are hiding their pace. Ferrari seems to be going as fast as they want to in corners, but aren't using DRS. Mercedes powered teams are leading only speed charts - for now, as these are quite heavy ;)

Lewis' relationship was only ever a problem when Massa decided to crash into him every other race. He'll be fine. PEACE.

man it will really be the worst of lucks is ferrari gets its shit together after alonso left the scuderia, on the other hand i will enjoy kimi dusting vettel :)

ha, there have been a couple posts like this. It would put a different spin on 4 WDC's.

But Kimi wouldn't. That's just not his style. He'd keep Vettel within touching distance and then pip him right before the end
