Amiibo Thread 3 | Where release dates are made up and preorders don't matter!

I went to a Toys R Us store in Denmark today. Honestly, I was pretty disappointed by their selection. They only had like 10-12 of them and not a single wave 3 Amiibo. I was really hoping to pickup up Rosalina, but ah well. I did pick this guy up though, which is what I was really hoping to find:

They not only had one Little Mac - they had three! The rest included one Pit, a Samus, several Fox, Peach and Pikachu.

Hehe, close but Austria. They were still selling them 1 and half weeks ago. But Rosalina is gone from the website now and Marth and Pit are sold out.

Fuck, i missed the window to get Ness preordered on Amazon UK.

Managed to grab Charizard and Wario.

They also just got stock of Wii Fit Trainer and Kirby for UK guys waiting on those.
 
Just noticed that wave 4 amiibos and mario party amiibos are up for preorder on gamestop.it
don't think they ship oversea tho
 
I think the Azula rumors are funny, guys... He just decided to step away from GAF for his own well being. I know him personally and he's a great guy but has been through a lot and the added stress wasn't helping. He doesn't have an alt account or anything.

I think someone else said he's going to Japan with his fiancé, but the real reason he's going is because he's gonna get all of us a full set of Japanese Amiibos. :'D
 
Probably a long shot but anyone in the UK got a spare Little Mac for sale? Maybe even willing to trade? For all you know I could have a rare Amiibo you might need!

I wanted him since the beginning but my preorder got fucked :(
 
I got my Wii Fit Trainer last night in the mail that I imported from Europe. Now that only leaves me with Marth and the rest of Wave 3 and I have them all.

Mario, Luigi, Peach, Donkey Kong, Bowser, Fox, Samus, Captain Falcon, Link, Toon Link, Zelda and Pac-Man. They all unlock character-themed skins for certain planes.
 
I resorted to ebay for the UK Ness, Lucina and Robin amiibo. I missed the window for these and can't secure pre-orders anywhere... =(

It is a combination of things, those included. Either way he has more important things to focus on other than Amiibos. :) He's not lurking about or using an alt like some people have suggested.
 
Amiibo hunting has been fun for the last days even if unsuccessful in finding Unicorns.

I kinda regret not getting into it earlier since the Little Mac I saw some days ago was gone when I went back.
Visiting (many!) stores with my gf and my sister was fun nonetheless, for what I can tell there aren't that many Amiibos around even if I'm in Europe, my country probably doesn't have that big of a demand.

Pikachu seems to be the most common around here with the rest of the first wave (many stores didn't even order the following waves!), Kirby is oddly uncommon while Marth doesn't feel rare at all (saw more Marths than Kirbys).

Wave 2 and 3 are harder to find since not everyone ordered them, never saw a Pit or Rosalina anywhere (not surprised about the latter though!).

I have seven amiibos now, mostly buying the ones i like most. Even my sister who just wanted a Zelda now has five.
I'll get a Link eventually but that's not a big deal since I can see him often around and a Charizard for sure.
Shulk and Robin interests me aswell and boy, I saw Bowser in person and I think it looks awesome, may cave in and buy that aswell...and maybe a Ness...and many others I guess.
 
Part of me is kind of hoping now that 2/13 is the actual date for Shulk so I can make more money before his release. I swear, these freakin' amiibo have taken a huge blow to my budget, but damn it, I want the bonuses with the games they work with...

Even worse when I'm trying to figure out if I can afford a New 3DS XL or not (guessing I might have to wait a month or so) & seeing Persona 5 reminded me that I want a PS4.
 
Good morning, all. I received an email from Amazon overnight informing me my Sonic has shipped. I wanted to share as I read a post from someone yesterday stating Amazon said if you didn't receive a shipping notification by now you aren't getting him. Happy to report that is not true. I did not pre-order him the first time around, I was able to get him when he opened up a couple weeks ago.



Unrelated random comment: This thread has nice people that look out for each other and I'm glad to be a part of it. Ultimately, people can do whatever they choose within the rules but I think it would be incredibly sad and pathetic if members who are a part of this forum have alt account or leave and come back as juniors only to pretend to be someone else. Zero respect for someone who would do that; have some dignity and honor for your community. It is borderline mentally unstable in my opinion but again, totally irrelevant here. Just a random thought.

CANADIAN AMIIBO UPDATE

Not much on the Canadian front today.

Future Shop may get in Toon Link, Shiek and Bowser. So check in on that.

EB Games got Rosalina yesterday, but if your local store(s) didn't then it could show up today.

Toys R Us had all of Wave 3 and Rosalina in store on Tuesday, so if your location didn't get them in yet then you should check again today.

Wal Mart is supposed to get Wave 3 tomorrow, so no harm in checking today in case they are put on the shelves early. I honestly believe they will only get Toon Link, Shiek and Bowser, just like Future Shop.


I am hoping for EB Games to announce Sonic and Mega Man available for preorder pick up in store today or tomorrow. Then I'm just waiting on Shulk (Gamestop USA) and Meta Knight (Future Shop Canada) to complete my Wave 3 collection.
 
What's the point in pretending to be someone else? Anyway, is there information as to when Best Buy is releasing Meta Knight? I can't find anything.

Future Shop Canada said February 28th to me when I was at the store. This includes all of Wave 3 except for Toon Link, Bowser and Shiek that could show up any day now.
 
I'm willing to bet my life that Lucina=Azula after noticing striking tics. No other account has such a high frequency of the "100%" adjective and "Lol" sentence starters, amongst a whole host of other linguistic tendencies. If I was a mod I would cross check all of Azula/Lucina's IP addresses.

Also, Azula has "left" amiiboGAF several times and always returned. A temp ban isn't going to stop him.

Can Azula's loyal army stop defending and excusing him based on sympathy and look at the facts. Are you really going to believe in that first day post count as coincidence? No one is allowed dupes, no one.

I think people we all knew Azula doesn't have another account. It was just a joke someone made that got bad then a little bit out of hand which is why I asked people to stop it. In the end, things seem to be better now so let's just move on.

Hey guys, is there any news on Lucario in the US? Is TRU gonna be getting more? I'm really trying to get one for my girlfriend. She wants us both to have complete sets but at this point as long as she has a complete US set I will be happy.
