I hope so. Robin and Lucina are the only two Amiibo I really want to get.
 
Super Mario Wave should be considered Wave 4, and Charizard wave should be considered Wave 5 timeline wise. in the states/canada.

TRU charges more because of selection. You pay a dollar extra so we can have 50 Peaches and Kirby's no one is going to buy.

Also, just so people know. TRU doesn't send Amiibo's on truck. They come in FedEx/ups shipments so if they don't have them at open doesn't mean they won't get them

"wave" refers to the Smash Bros line. the Super Mario edition isn't involved.
Unless they make more for the Super Mario line of amiibo, in which case bowser, toad, Mario, luigi and peach would be wave 1 in the Super Mario line.

Thanks for that link. Very interesting. If a full-on work stoppage occurs, I doubt President Obama would order them back to work, considering he's a Democrat and doesn't want to piss off unions.
 
Heeeeey guys. Been out of here for a while, I'm just wondering if there's a simple list somewhere that's been updated with info about which amiibos are currently available and what our best guess about release dates for the rest are.

I know that, but I'm saying it's dumb because it confuses the timeline, the Super Mario amiibos were always going to be earlier in preorder rush bonanza.

And we're getting Roslina et all Super Mario amiibos as their models are pretty much official at this point.
 
Ike, Sonic, Dedede, and Mega Man all delayed at Gamestop for me as well (ship to home), in addition to the e-mail from Amazon last night saying "They're still trying trying to obtain" the Sheik I ordered in December.

Oy, you'd think after the cluster that waves 1 and 2 were, there would be at least some improvement in organization, but it's still a mess.

3 months is not enough time to resolve the production issue, and the the port issue is pretty gigantic.

Yeah, it's going to be interesting. Just hoping it doesn't come to that, it seems like it could have effects on the economy far beyond our hobby, but that's probably for another thread.
 
What has become of this once great amiibo community? I am a bit ashamed after reading the last several pages. I guess I'll just start checking this thread for news but stop participating. I don't want a part of any of the rude behavior. So thanks to those that continue to be kind and for those that brings us important information. It is appreciated even by those that have or will now lurk.

Lol yeah I went out of my way to find the guy that held it for me. Told him I appreciated his help. He was the same guy that helped me find the jakks pacific toys of bowser and dk even asked how they were doing lol

Man, right now it's a guessing game for everyone some regions are better off than others. GS NoA just pushed back a crap ton of orders. There is a a lot of confusion goin on right now. I say wait till the dust clears by the end of the day and see what happens then.

What 'timeline' are you describing? Because I don't think that is how the Waves are working. The waves make perfect sense, and I think you could only consider them "dumb" if you misunderstand how they are articulating 'wave'.

Within the Super Smash Brother Amiibo line, it is broken into distinct "waves" - directly link to the manufacturing process, nothing more.
 
So, a current survey of my status at different retailers.

Amazon: Sheik, Bowser, and Toon Link have apparently shipped today. However, I find out the other day that Mega Man's status is unknown! I too got the ridiculous "click here if you're still interested" email - as if they were truly hoping I'd just cancel rather than go through the hassle. Also, they shipped my order right after telling me it was delayed until March 2nd. Unexpected charges are never welcome.

Gamestop: I am completely reliant on them for Ike and Dedede. Meanwhile, I get an email today saying that Ike, Sonic, and Dedede are on back order and that they're working with Nintendo! Good luck! Luckily(?),I've got each down for an in-store pickup as well. They have texted me when they received a couple past amiibo (Luigi and Cpt. Falcon), but much later than anticipated, and overall it worries me. They also put a hold for about 50 bucks on my account this week, yet to my knowledge, nothing has shipped, and now the hold has disappeared.

TRU: My in-store Lucario was there waiting for me (they did need to search a bit). They've shipped me everything I've ordered from them so far as well. I even got the free shipping and discounted price when all the cancellations were happening (one of which was mine and resulted in a rather frustrating phone conversation w/ "customer support") . Thing is, the My Order page when I log in isn't being updated at all! Pit and Cpt. Falcon are still listed as "Located in stock" when they shipped long ago. Today, I got some more, including a second Lucario and Sheik (may be up for a trade btw) and there has been no action on the order page whatsoever! I guess as long as they keep sending them, but an email would be nice considering they charge at the time of shipping. Like Gamestop, they just charge whenever without any type of heads up.

Best Buy: We shall see....
 
Man I don't see any drama, just people talking 'bout amiibos in here.

Anyway, it occurs to me that the delay in wave 4 preorders might be tied to the whole port issue...they don't want to take the risk on allocating these when they have no idea what things might look like in April.

The only thing i guess sort of similar, is that we both talk a lot. But I also write for a living, so talking a lot is what I do. So enough attention was being brought up, when I all I wanted to do was just post in peace.

Maybe we made the wrong decision by not speaking up about it. But I didn't want cause him stress. And he didn't want people defining me or bothering me because of him. So it made sense to just keep it to ourselves. I didn't think it mattered. But after being contacted by someone on the staff over it (and clearing it up), I figured it was best to just tell people.

I don't know what is expected of me. If I have to post my drivers license. Or prove I have a vagina. The whole thing is kind of strange to me. I never thought I would be questioned so much over it or that so much would be put on it. But I think it's best if I just don't post here again. I don't want to derail the thread or bring anymore attention on me and Azula then needs be.

If anyone wants to be my friend, great. My fiance has talked at great lengths about some of you, and is very fond of some people here. If you need to talk to him, he told me to have you guys email him at : azulagaf@gmail.com

Can't believe people were PMing you about this. It doesn't matter who you are or who you know, you should feel welcomed here with no problem. You don't need to apologize for anything, seriously.

This is supposed to be a cool, close-knit community, and for those of us who decided it would be good to PM about that stuff, is just not cool.

You should still feel free to post and talk about whatever you want to talk about, and if people can't deal with that, then that's not your problem, it's theirs. The core of us who are active here welcome anyone who wants to have a talk about amiibos or whatever else comes up, and you have no reason to not want to join in.

Sorry to hear you had such problems, and I hope you reconsider sticking around. I know many of us would agree that more is better, here.

If not, then hey, it was nice talking to you, and I hope you two have a great trip. Check back for my 7 custom Mega Mans next month, if all goes according to schedule.

To communicate preorders for preordering Amiibo, the community didn't seem to realize that the Mario waves were going to be released before the Charizard wave, Smash and Mario amiibos aren't truly independent of each other. Nintendo were never going to release them at the same time.

My understanding is that Gamestop will not get in Wave 3 amiibos until Feb 13 (Shulk, Ike, King DeDeDe) and Feb 20 (MegaMan, Sonic)

Just paid off completely all of my Gamestop preorders for Wave 3. Clerk had no updates other than Feb 14 for Shulk. I'll just call em then and see what their stock is like.

This stress ain't gonna end till I have all of Wave 3 on my shelf.

Depends on location.

Every think is out in Europe, think everything but Meta in Canada.

Ike, Dedede, Sonic, Mega, Shulk, Meta aren't out in America.

Meta, Ike, Dedede, Shulk you won't be able to get without a preorder (and some preorders are getting delayed in the states).

Haven't seen anyone ever include Mario Party Amiibo in with a "wave", ever. Not split into 3a/3b, or considered part of wave 3, or any of that. I'm not even seeing Wave 3 split for the Euro Smash Amiibo - just that there are shipment delays on Wave 3

Wave has always referred to the Super Smash Amiibo, as they are the only ones being released in "waves". I'm not seeing any confusion in the slightest, but to each their own. Maybe someone else could articulate it all better than I am...

Soooo then there will be wave 1 Mario, wave "2" Mario -- and Waves 1-5+ of Smash.... BUT until then, waves only apply to Smash.

Definitely understand that, and I wasn't aware of the port issue. I'm more talking about communication issues that seem to be occurring between distribution and sales and customer service and customers. There will always be production delays, but I don't think it's unfair to criticize how it's been handled (especially on the communication end), and how it continues to be an issue.
