I watched a video on Youtube and it definitely looks a bit rough.How is the story? Interesting?
I like it. It's not so much, though, a story in the sense of "A grand over-arching thing that's drawing you forward and enticing you to find out about it" (although it does have elements of that), as it is "A huge world with tons of stuff to find and explore, books and manuscripts to read, and all sorts of stuff like that." Which is why I thought it might be a good fit for what you were looking for. The world is HUGE and very detailed in terms of you being able to go so many places and explore so many things (although the castle at the beginning is a bit slow going, so just try to get your party together and get out of there as soon as possible :þ)

Oh my goodness. Dat Xenoblade Chronicles X! I need it right now! So amazing looking, and seeing the world and environments, oh my... I can't take it anymore, I need it right now. I'm not an RPG guy at all, but the original Xenoblade Chronicles is one of my most favorite games ever, and this oh man... looks even better! Can't wait!
Also, I don't like it when guys give me mixed signals. I met this cute boy I really like and we've talked online and one moment he seems interested in me and sending me heart emoticons and such, and telling me how I'm so sweet and stuff, then we talk another time and he doesn't seem interested at all. It's Dragon Quest/Final Fantasy 1-9 style turn-based, and not the Action nonsense of the previous game?

I find turn based games boring. I would prefer an action based game with a combat similar to Dragon's Dogma.

Xenoblade Chronicles was one of the most disappointing games I've ever played (as a ratio of the hopes and expectations I had for it versus how I actually ended up enjoying it)
I might get it for 3DS though, just with extremely tempered expectations, knowing that it's not that good

You should give some of them a chance. Dragon's Dogma for example.
I've given many a chance.
Some are more tolerable than others.
But in every case, it's just a massive disappointment that they're not turn-based.

I played Final Fantasy. I think that's it. The turn based combat make the game too slow for my taste. Instant gratification in action oriented games has spoiled me.
Getting both P5 and Xenoblade with extreme haste. P5 in particular has me excited since it looks like it's more in line with traditional Megaten games (demons, actual dungeons, melee/magic/gun system.),

The first game was very long. 80-90 Hours is a pretty typical time for most players, and I personally took 105 (The longest I've ever taken to finish a game on a first run). The game very strongly encourages you to explore areas and do stuff for NPC's. If you like expansive, sidequest-heavy games I would absolutely recommend it, but if you're just looking to play through a fairly straightforward game I'd pass.
