Wii U Games 2015

The updated release schedule from the financial meeting has now been posted in the supplement listing.
http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2015/150129e.pdf

The difference compared to the October schedule seems to be:
* NoE and NoA now have very similar schedules, except for Kirby
* Mario Maker is no longer listed for 1st half (it was listed as such in October for NoE)
* Yoshi's Woolly World and Project Giant Robot are both still first half 2015 (as they were for NoE in October)
* Splatoon in May (as in the Direct)
* Release dates for Mario vs. DK and Mario Party 10 (as in the Direct)
* Devil's Third has been changed from "TBD" to "2015"

(Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem is still "TBD".)

The number for Bayo2 wasn't "expected by year end," that was the number the NintendoFR exec gave at the time of the interview in December.

And even if it was expected by the year end, the very next thing he said was that Bayo 2 sales were very front loaded, meaning that most of the sales happened at launch, so the number was pretty much confirmed.

nice hidden treasure post there

so the usual delay, shady tbd and pal drought from the fiscal report..?

NoE has 6 games listed for 1st half 2015, 7 other games listed for "2015" (where 1 of these was delayed compared to the earlier schedule from October), 1 additional game delayed to 2nd half 2015 (compared to NoA), 1 game still listed as TBD.

How you want to interpret that info is up to you.

It's like Flappy Bird as far as I know.

Well, although the controller mechanics of Badlands is Flappy Bird-style, the game's objective is something completely different. The levels are carefully designed, and you need to gúide you group of blobs through the levels, pushing switches, divide them into doing different things, etc.

And according to the developer, the Wii U version will contain local multiplayer, as well as co-op multiplayer (for 2-4 players). And the content of the Wii U version has been modified to not be too easy with the new controller system and multiplayer support.

Think we'll see Bayonetta 1 come out as a standalone retail game this year? Not that I need it, but it'd be cool to see. Would it make any financial sense though?

Lego Jurassic World and Lego Marvel Avengers announced for WiiU

3rd party support lives in 2015 lol

Considering the games also releasing on the Vita, I'm not surprised haha. The Wii U version also outsells the PS4 & XB1 versions generally, so it'd be silly not to release it for Wii U.

It seems that Affordable Space Adventures will be released quite soon, so they stick to the Q1 2015 release.

Also, this is how the world map (called Spectaculon) looks like:

wow I had no idea that Captain Toad had Bonus SM3D world stage bonus on there

Lol I always go dark before I get a game and finally got it today cool extra with the Mario save data

I feel like my Wii U has abandoned me. No future games that I want to play so far have solid release dates. Nothing I want to play on Wii U possibly before e3. :(

If you're talking about Nintendo-produced titles, I don't think there has ever been a time where we known solid release dates for more than 3 future Wii U titles? It's a meta game that Nintendo seems to like to play.

Pretty cool news re. Rodea

i have a feeling we'll hear something before the end of the month. at the very latest, the end of march. i think every localization team aside from aksys is owned by a japanese company and will have their fiscal year end at the end of march.

I just hope it's a retail release too.

Searching for Amiibos on Amazon.co.jp I stumbled upon the cover for the new Mario vs. Donkey Kong game.
I don't think I have ever seen it posted here on gaf, so here it is.

Looks pretty good if you ask me.

It has been posted on gaf, but not on this thread =).

Edit: Can you delete a digital game on your Wii U but keep the save data? I only see one thing to delete.

looks like confirmation for localization for Rodea: The Sky Soldier

"It took some time to deliver [Rodea] to everyone, but the Nintendo 3DS, Wii U and Wii versions were rebooted. I think that we can share some sort of notification of a overseas release in the near future, so overseas users please look forward to it."

Yoshimi Yasuda, the president of Kadokawa Games.

great!
also for Affordable space adventrues.

I believe it is game dependent. I have seen some games where all the data is bunched and others separate

Btw if I remember correctly Nintendo of France actually fell short of their Wii U expectations for 2014, so I kind of expect that the same happened for Bayo 2 since they didn't mention anything.

Also I think the Wii U is actually doing fairly terribly in Germany too. Looking at how Mario Kart 8 didn't seem to break 100K as of last November there (when they gave the award for Tomodachi Life being one of the best selling games), whereas it sold 276K in France (maybe w/ bundles?).

MK8 broked trough the 100k in july in germany

haven't been following Wii U much, is there a good chance we'll see a new Fire emblem title on the platform? Last I know, the team is working on code name STEAM...

Intelligent Systems is working on a new Fire Emblem for the 3DS.

Nintendo has partnered with Atlus to publish Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem, a Wii U title. It is presumed to be in development by a team at Atlus, but I don't think that has been confirmed.

Awesome! I'm hoping it's a retail release, I'll definitely buy!

Does it say that you get a code for the 3DS version or why is there the 3DS logo on the bottom?

Edit: Wait, I thought it's an eshop title?

Late seeing this...but please be true. I really enjoy Prope's games, especially Fishing Resort and Let's Tap. Their stuff makes me feel like I am still getting cool Dreamcast games for some reason.

There are retail versions too. Whichever you buy(Download or Retail) you receive a download code for the opposite. Fully cross buy.

Stupid One Piece Unlimited World Red.... it seems to be in the same file as the game (which I've 100%ed...) and takes up 11GB. I was hoping I was missing something...

Technically, it's a retail game in EU, but it's a case sold at retail with a code inside rather than a cart or disc.

Are you confusing the boxed release of the DSiWare and eShop codes for Minis March Again and Minis on the Move for 3DS in EU? Never heard of Tipping Stars Wii U being a boxed code in EU.

I know where you got this from and why this is legit but I'm still thinking he possibly it got confused with this which just came out here:

Which is the two games as eShop codes in a retail box. But I'd love it we got a box for Tipping Stars, too. Just because that artwork is so awesome.

No, I'm thinking of Tipping Stars. It's possible a grapevine got crossed on its way to me, but I believe it will be as I described it.
