It doesn't make sense. Toad is freely available for pre-order at GameStop.com. The only people who would pay more for him are those who know he WAS sold out at GameStop and surely they've also heard he is back in stock.

That or these idiots do not think for themselves at all and allow themselves to get caught up in pure hype without doing any background work and gladly part from their money. If it's the latter you honestly can't be surprised people are going to take advantage of the fools out there. If it's not eBay, it'll be someplace else they'll pretty much give away their money...

Once wave 3 is fully released, it's gonna be quiet for a while here (since I don't think Super Mario line will probably not be very hard to get).

Can't wait for wave 4. Love the hunt!

He's going to really butthurt when those get cancelled and refunded to him because that's what our DM said corporate said to do at launches for guys like that.

Congrats! I'm so glad I put in the time to complete that game before Smash because it made me appreciate Shulk's inclusion all the more. Such an incredible game! <3

Also, just one more week until my Shulk amiibo arrives! (With MM and Sonic, haha.)
 
Are there any import sites with King Dedede available? My Gamestop delayed my order so I need a backup. He's the only remaining one I want in wave 3.
 
Haha didn't mean to start a riot but yea it's crap... Sucks he was smart enough to block out every bit of info but you can assume it's in or near Medford, Massachusetts from listing location.

Someone definitely should get slapped not sure off the B&M limit but the old online was 3 when Shulk came up.
 
Got my Amazon delivery estimate for Mega Man: Friday. This is gonna be a great week for me. Shulk arrives Wednesday, so I'll finally have my two favorite characters in hand.
 
Buyers are likely out of the country and not able to order from Gamestop.
EDIT: Nvm, auction says US only, but he may have not blocked those purchases. Who knows.

The guy actually isn't very smart at all. You can pretty much figure out his name based on his eBay username and his receipt. And then you know the city since it says where he ships from on eBay...

Hopefully his GameStop comes to their senses and limits him to something reasonable like 3 units (hell, even 5)

You can get one from Nippon-Yasan for about $29 shipped. A bit steep. Some on ebay have it for about $27.

He'll get them cancelled down to one or two. First of all Corporate won't send one store 20 at once no matter the amount of preorders, secondly a 2 per person limit has been implemented at all the stores I know of and 1 for lower stocked characters.
 
My friend in Europe decided to surprise me: she bought me both Marth and WFT.

Since I have Villager, I guess I'll have the First Wave holy trinity lol...

Kinda cool actually.

His jaw is SOOOOO close to my fist, I can feel it

I haven't got any email from GameStop regard with my online preorder. I'm little concerned about it right now.

Thanks! Same here! I had Xenoblade ever since day 1 but I wasn't motivated enough to play the game until Shulk was leaked to be in the game. Once they released smash trailer for Shulk then that's when I decided to play the game. Along with the fact that Gaffers have been encouraging me to play the game. It was really incredible game, and I actually agreed with the fact that it deserved to be number 5 on NeoGAF's Essential top 50 RPG.

Haha, just make sure you don't do anything as extreme or unreasonable as this fella. Report him all you want, but don't go vigilante on this (especially nothing illegal). Guy clearly isn't terribly smart since he's essentially tying up $280 up for a month and a half and after eBay fees, shipping and packing, probably won't make more than a few bucks/amiibo not factoring in people who'll return after they inevitably get damaged in transit...

If you were able to pay in store you shouldn't have have any problem with it.

I tried pre ordering in store and GameStop couldn't finish the transaction. I got a call (and email) a week later from GameStop, and my issue was fixed. You sound like you don't have to worry at all.

Getting to the point now where the amiibo that are coming out are ones with functionality in games people are going to want. Nintendo gotta figure this supply issue out soon.
 
Sooo problem. The Toon Link Amiibo I ordered from Target was supposed to come today, and according to the USPS was delievered. But it's not here :(

I think it's just running late, this has happened to me before, but it still sucks. I want Toon Link. :(

Hate to say this, but I'm almost positive giveaways associated or tied to donations are banned on GAF. We had a few of these occur in the B/S/T thread, and the fallout wasn't pretty. I'm in no way authoritatively speaking, so I could be way off.
