you got it during the TRU apology tour. that's the directions from way back when you ordered it.
 
No Dedede or Ike today for me. Ordered them from Gamestop but I guess they won't have em till next week.

Glad I don't have to go run around and I guess it'll be cool to grab them when my Mega Man and Sonic come out too. :P
 
did sonic/dedede really come out anywhere today, because... no one seems to know what i was talking about anywhere. best buy. gamestop. toysrus... usually i'll get one bite. best buy stores told me the same thing, which it says its here but it isn't...

the only entertaining bit was running into the same guy at three stores, who was literally screaming at associates every time we ran into each other and talking about how he knew managers. the struggle for a figure of sonic .

I took one evening hunting Little Mac and Diddy back when they were out and it was a shitfest. Never again. I'd rather import online than ever looking for them in retail ever again. Big fucking waste of time.
 
Just got back from my wave 3 extravaganza and here is what I scored.
Probably the best luck with amiibos yet for me.

Has TRU not been updating anyone else's orders? My status says "On Hold Until Release" and then date in December. They just charged me the last time they shipped the last part of my order. But the order is still open with no shipping info.

huh. I don't remember having to do all that. I got an email that just said "we reinstated your order" and now it says it's shipping.

Amiibos are fucking weird man

Yes. Toys R Us. Dedede was not one of my pickups, but he was there (albeit in short supply). Sonic, Mega Man, and Ike too. I already have Ike and Dedede, so...there we go.

TRU was the only place selling them today. Best Buy has them, but are playing dumb. Like I physically saw a Meta Knight but a manager came around and got mad at the employee showing it. After that the guy was too scared to tell me dates or anything.
 
Despite the extra Shulks, the Rosalina, the 2 Lucarios, the japanese Lucario the Japanese Rosalina...

Sonic is the one I want the most, and I have to wait until next week at GS for him to arrive :(

Welcome home Sonic. I think he will go on this display piece for now. It is going to bother me with it not being symmetrical. I will get another stand soon. Next Friday I get Ike, Dedede, Meta Knight, and Mega Man from BB preorder in theory. That will necessitate another stand.

Review of my day for anyone bored enough to read:
Planned on getting up early and hitting Target for MM 3DS XL and any Amiibos and then checking out TRU before stopping by Best Buy. I really wanted to hook some of you all up with 3Bs (grrrr).

Left after Target opening so I figured I would hit up TRU and have a better chance at finding something. Got to TRU 19 minutes after opening and everything was already gone unless you had a preorder. A guy stopped me while getting in my car to let me know that one guy bought all the remaining Wave 3B figures at one time. I can't believe they allowed that and I can't imagine how upset the #2 customer had to have been. They really need a limit at that store. So I got nothing there.

Stopped by TRU for some other items but checked it out just in case. The clerk said that people lined up at 5am and all the MM 3DS XLs were gone at opening. I would never have made it by that time as I thought being there at 730 was going to be good enough.

Thought they cleaned out the Amiibos but apparently they didn't get them yet.

Walked into GameStop and the person said they didn't get any today just the Shulk preorders from yesterday.

Best Buy had my Sonic preorder. I love this location, the people are so nice (small town Summerville, SC) and remember me every time. Hell they pulled it before I even got to them and it was definitely a conversation piece. Even the door guy was talking about how it was the only one the store got. If they weren't so nice I would be really concerned about my preorders disappearing before I got there. Excited to get Ike, Dedede, Meta Knight, and Mega Man next Friday.

Stopped by the wasteland known as Walmart. Still only had Wave 1s but to my surprise they had 4 Bowsers.
 
Man, I am starting to get a little jealous at all these Mega Man, Sonic, Dedede and Ike grabs. :P

I couldn't even go hunt for Little Mac when he came out cause I was stuck working and by the time I tried for online ordering he was also gone, lol. Same story with Villager and Marth.
 
Hit up TRU for the 3 for $33 deal, picked up Toon Link, Bowser, and Mario.

Also found Yoshi and Peach on Amazon for $10 each so ordered them.
 
i've been passing on yoshi for a long time

i checked amazon yesterday and they had him listed at 12.99. But walmart.com and a few other sites had 9.99

so i submitted the prices

at some point between then and now, i checked amazon and he's not (finally) 9.99 so I ordered him!
 
Just as I complain about TRU.com shipping Sonic, they send me the shipping e-mail. And they used the correct FedEx link this time lol
 
Well that's 2 hours I'm never getting back.

I went to Grossmont, CA's TRU [an hour earlier]. At least 10 people were ahead of me, and all had those ticket things for reservation. So no Dedede, no Mega Man, and no Sonic for me. Called a couple other TRUs but they had the same situation.

I checked two Best Buys, but they don't have them either.

The only solace from today is that I just remembered I preordered a Mega Man at a Gamestop some time ago, so that's guaranteed. Also, off topic, I learned that I'll be recieving my Monster Hunter n3DSXL today, much earlier than expected.
 
Damnn all those Sanic pics... He is getting awful games as of late but sure he looks cool as heck on amiibo shape. Must. RESIST.

ahh i see. welp you didnt miss out on anything. employees came out about 15mins prior to opening and handed out tickets to the front of the line. limit 2 per person, looks like the first 8 in line were the only ones to get anything. i showed up about 30 mins before 10 and ended up about 19th in line. if youre relying on tru for amiibos, plan to line up at least 1-2 hours before opening if you want a chance at anything.
 
TRU just shipped my Ike. Still waiting on Sonic though. Different order.

Edit: and walmart just pushed by De3 and Ike to Feb 27th. Was supposed to arrive by today. Dang it.

Same thing my gamestop did except I asked if he was in stalk and the guy said no, I mentioned the text about preorder then he said yes we have him if you preordered lol.
 
Got my Shulk on Wednesday. Waiting now for BB to follow suit. All my others were pre-ordered through them. Sonic, Mega Man, DeDeDe, Ike and Meta Knight. :-D
