Kay, I'll do just that. I woke up at like 7:30 for Mega Man and Dedede so I can do the same this Friday!...In theory.
 
I have zero interest in the Mario gold/silver amiibos, so whatever. If Gold Mario is a pack-in with Mario Party 10 at Wal-Mart then I'd consider picking it up there since I want the game anyway, but that's it.

Are there really people who intend to get every amiibo ever made still? I mean even getting the whole Smash line is a pretty Herculean task, if Nintendo continues to expand into all their series and doing more character variants...it must become impossible at some point, no? There's already 4 Marios we know of (Smash/Super Mario/Gold/Silver). I guess I just don't have a "collector" mindset. I only got into amiibos in the first place because I love Smash Bros. I've never cared about rarity or anything beyond how it affects the characters I like.
 
Wal Mart hasn't done any in store preorders for any Amiibos unless they start to with this.

So launch lineup before opening is looking most likely.

Yesss omg. Is going to be a bloodbath the day that damn golden Mario comes out... with scalpers and all that. Ughhh. I predict the silver Mario will be a Gamestop exclusive. Sighhhhh.
 
Wait, did Mega man get released in NA? I was looking on best buy's site and it says he's available in some stores. When did this happen?

Btw, anyone who's having issues with cancelled Ikes like me, don't take it lying down. Fight it as much as you can, like I did. I might have some leads, and I'll be sharing the info here. Holding sucks, but it's worth the effort.

I'd rather they do exclusive variants than characters.
 
So Shulk, Ike, and the GCN adapter are all getting restocked on May 1st? It's probably safe to say Marth's reprint will be ready for that date as well then. So anyone think we'll also see Wave 4 release that day in the US? And furthermore, does anyone think Lucina and Robin will be getting much bigger initial production runs than Ike and Marth considering both of those two have already necessitated reprints?

His street date for BBY is 2/20, however a lot of stores have received stock already, and thus it's showing they have him. If you go to buy it, you're probably not going to get it though. Same with MK and D3 and Ike.
 
Kinda sucks to see more potential retail exclusive amiibos. I don't really care about the gold/silver ones though so I won't be disappointed if I don't get those.
 
Or, what if that Wal-Mart Mario gold pic is fake and it was made by the same guy who did the Rayman leak? I don't even know what to believe anymore.
 
If we look at it as part of the first Wave from the Super Mario Series there are 2 exclusives. Gold and Silver Mario.

So likely 1 exclusive or 2 variants for Wave 4 of th Smash Bros Series.

Thank god ive told myself im getting out of the Amiibo game after the Smash line.

The gold/silver mario exclusives sound like a hellish nightmare that would only be dreamt up by the most devilish creatures on the planet.

Seriously man, fuck everything about this situation.
 
OMG, imagine if the Mario Party 10 bundles were blind boxes so you only knew you were getting Mario, but no idea on if it was regular, Silver, or Gold Mario.

If you want to collect every amiibo made, sure.

Hopefully this is a sign that exclusive characters wont happen anymore. What happened to rosalina, shulk, lucario, and meta knight makes me want to give up more than a gold Mario.

Nintendo can sell all the gold marios, blue yoshis, or orange rosalinas they want. Just stop making characters exclusives.
 
I can see it now. Male Wii Fit Trainer to be exclusive at one store, then Female Robin to be exclusive as a bundle with the new Fire Emblem, THEN each of the Koopa Kids are retail exclusive, so have fun ordering from 7 different retailers unless you get the bundle including all of them but will be available for 5 minutes.

Yeah man I dont get it.

Out of all the stores Ive gone to, Walmart is easily the worst as far as Amiibo's go. I was acutally there today, and while they surprisingly had a lot of bowser, they had practically NOTHING else. There amiibo section was so small that at first I couldnt even find it.

It doesnt make sense that Walmart, out of all the stores, would get the rights to it. A store that is notoriously known for being shitty and also one of the most shoplifted stores there is.

I should have realized that the reliability of online orders is dubious at best and that I should always take a physical, in-store copy if available. Oh well. I expect to see Toon Link in the wild again.

Edit: Just checked Gamestop inventory and the one near me reads "in stock". Will go tomorrow.

Well, I originally thought that was their master plan. But now that I see where their priorities lie, (shopping for exlusive retailers, working on the MP10 line before finishing the smash line, etc) I doubt it will be out in time.
