Amiibo Thread 5 | Because we didn't preorder thread 4

It took awhile, but the king is finally mine!

The trim on his robe looks excellent. The quality of the wave 3 amiibo is incredible compared to the first and second waves, especially considering how their price has remained the same. Looking forward to seeing how awesome Ness, Pac-Man, and the rest of wave 4 look in person (assuming I can get them, heh).

Also, a quick PSA: I was one of the people who pre-ordered Dedede at GameStop and got a call saying mine had been delayed to summer. At the recommendation of another amiiboGAF member (can't remember who, sorry), I called the store I had ordered him to be delivered at anyway and sure enough, they told me they had plenty and to come pick mine up. I don't know what the summer thing is about, but that's GameStop for you... anyway, if GameStop delayed your Dedede to summer, call them and ask about it - chances are they have yours for pickup right now!

It's an EXCELLENT figure for sure. Bright big and detailed.

I just tried searching - I also don't see it on the normal site via a search for "Gold Mario Amiibo" even though that is a direct ctrl+c/ctrl+v from the other page
 
It wasn't showing up for me on my iPad or cellphone. Had to switch to laptop to even see it was available,
So for all those not able to even see it as a pre order that might be the reason why!
 
Saw the button FINALLY, got through making a Walmart acct, and by the end of the process was out of stock.

...Are you serious right now...

So you walk into a target... there's 2 wii fit trainers and 2 villager... You wouldn't Buy All of them ... because you're better than that? ... cause I'm not saying it's right... But That would fund a lot of my amiibo and make my wallet and wife happier... ...

To each his own but any way to make this cheaper is acceptable to a lot of people... Now buying the entire east coast stock is wrong... cause that ruins everyone's lives... But buying an extra couple because you are fortunate enough to stumble upon them in a store... and then selling them for profit I don't think is scalping... nor wrong... because in the end ... Nintendo will get that money again. ... CAUSE I WILL BUY MORE AMIIBO

Actually got an order in. I was watching old Nintendo E3 conferences, and the video froze to buffer so I switched back over to GAF. Used Value Shipping though. Really should have opted for the $3 Shipping, but I was in rapid-fire mode since I had to fill in all my information.

Limited. I mean wal-mart is opening up new orders like crazy. Starting to think this is less limited than we thought.
 
Man, this will make you bitter. Missed first pre-order wave because of dental appointment. Second because of business meeting. Third because I took my wife to dinner. Come on, Wal-Mart, aren't I allowed to have a life?
 
Has Nintendo even said it'll be limited? It's Walmart they will stock a shit ton just because they can also I didn't even see it was up here, just clicked on a link about it and saw it wasn't sold out and attempted to get one but it was gone again :(
 
Had in cart this morning, couldn't check out because i was on my way home and in the car.

Second time I was just getting out of the shower.

Third time I missed it because my friends had thought I got it already.
