Halo: The Master Chief Collection is STILL broken after 100 days

God Damn, you'd think they would just keep SWAT and Snipers as a permanent playlist at this point in the Halo series. Quit it with this rotation bullshit.

At least the patch is being certified.

You'd think they'd make Forge work, put in the updated Halo 3 maps that aren't imbalanced as fuck, put emblems in Halo 2 so you know who the fuck is who on your team, have ranks, have the right number of people in playlists, or any of the other problems that are definitely present in every copy of the game even though people keep claiming their copy is working just fine.

No no. That makes too much sense for a collection that celebrates Halo.

I'm sure it's also a lot of work, too, but there's so much that's at issue here.

Would really like Forge to work, too.

i sold this game right after the Halo 5 beta ended.

played it right through to the start of the beta, but after playing the beta, which I found to be godly, i couldn't go back to MCC. game was broken, gameplay wasn't as satisfying...

oh well, cannot wait for Halo 5.

I know, right? "Snipers and SWAT proved to be two of our most popular playlists. Let's remove them!"

Just more 343incompetence.

Actually had a great coop Spartan Ops match tonight with a coworker..... I was surprised that it just worked. Though, voice chat didn't work so we had to Party-up in the XboxOne UI level...

Actually, they are looking at the waypoint forums where people will claim all day every day that MCC is 100% problem free.

I have zero issues whatsoever when I play the game, aside from certain achievements not unlocking in a timely fashion or at all. Other than than that, literally everything else works just fine.

I gave buying this at $36 a serious thought, just for replaying the campaigns. It seems people still have nothing but bad things to say about it. I didn't buy it during the sale and I still feel like I made the right decision. I'm still sad and disappointed to see what could have been a great tribute and revival of Halo multiplayer turn out like this. It makes me very resentful of 343 Industries and Microsoft, as if I wasn't enough after Halo 4.

Couldn't connect to my coop partner during last night's numerous attempts to play some H1:A. Will it work tonight?? Stay tuned.
After a couple hours of toiling away at the router, we're still getting our coop connections failed. Great, great piece of software.

For tnose who feel this game is working ok for them, here is a re-post of mine from another board:
.......
Please do:

1) See who is talking during a matchmade game, like we could in H2, H3, Reach and H4
2) Stick around in a brief after-matchmade game lobby to smack-talk, send party/friend requests or say "Good Game" before it dumps you to another search
3) Create a working CTF, Assault, KOTH or Grifball map in H3
4) Join a friend's custom game that already started
5) Join a friend's Forge session that already started
6) Download a file from a stranger's file share who never campaigned

Report back on how that worked for you.
....

I honestly can't see why anybody would spend another dime on a 343i game. Ive bought every Halo game to date but Halo 5 I will not be buying. The only way 343i can apologize to the early adopters is to give Halo 5 free.

I'm mad too, but I'm sorry, the Halo 5 beta showed a shitload of promise.

Same. I sincerely hope everyone sticks to their guns and halo 5 is a massive flop out of the gate. That way it might for Microsoft to rethink trusting Halo to the clowns at 343.

From what I have tried it seems to be working fine but I mostly focus on custom games with friends and family. That has been flawless.

I see it like this. (I'm a huge Halo fan btw)

Halo 4 was great. 343 made it.

Halo MCC remake, good singleplayer but multiplayer hasn't worked at all.

Halo 5 looks great and the Beta was great.

Why shouldn't I buy Halo 5? Apparently 343 own IP:s, not the remakes, are great games.

Halo 2 shot registration is fixed? God I hope that's true, that's been my biggest problem with the game to be honest.

Why is btb 7v7 now?

Love how there's not a single mention of dedicated servers anywhere in that update.

Because the hosting has been on dedicated servers whenever possible, and if you live geographically far away from dedicated servers, your experience can be terrible compared to better-positioned P2P connections. One of the earlier issues was screen-text that incorrectly suggested that games weren't on dedicated servers when they actually were.

That billeted list doesn't seem like it is the most comprehensive update they have made like they suggested previously. Unless I'm mistaken didn't someone from 343i say that it had the most fixes to date? Or was it the most important fixes? I'm downloading now, but if this doesn't fix it I will probably just wait for Halo 5 to bother trying to enjoy another Halo title :(

They NEED to have some text during the loading screens to clarify if you are on dedicated servers or on P2P. It is kinda laggy for me sometimes.
