Reading the thread it really seems like only the one person. Maybe one other but not seeing anybody else confirm it. I don't think this is problem. If the person is telling the truth, who knows why it was canceled. Maybe they had separate orders on different accounts or maybe they didn't have the funds in the bank.

Amiibo craze has been insane. I have all 29 but wave 4 wait is brutal. I've decided I'm not going to get duplicate characters. I mean; where does it really end? Gold Mario is a wake up call to me that I shouldn't continue down this path.
One Amiibo per character I can handle.
Edit: sigh. Maybe one pose per character. I just gotta have paper mario and 8bit mario Amiibo.

This is why I could see retailers moving away from preorders for this stuff. Just put them on shelves as they come out and save themselves the headaches of Nintendos bullshit.

Yeah, if that happened I'd have no choice but to bow to scalpers if I wanted it. I can get on a computer or my phone and grab a preorder, but I can't leave work and wait in line at a store every morning hoping that's the morning amiibos come in... I couldn't do that even if I KNEW they were going to be there that morning.

I have an order for 2 Gold Marios with Wal Mart USA
I am in Canada, used a border store address to ship it (not a forwarding service, you just use their address and your name), and PayPal to buy it (it charged immediately via PayPal).
It appears still as processing on the Wal Mart website, and PayPal has no activity of a refund or anything.

After a few months of waiting my Neogaf account was finally approved! Ive been following the Amiibo Gaf threads from the beginning and wishing I could reply and, well, here I am. So nice to finally be a part of the AmiiboGaf community instead of an awkward lurker randomly tweeting replies on Twitter (ok I only made one Twitter reply but shhh!)
I'm making it a point to only collect Female Amiibos, Pokemon Amiibos and the Kid Icarus series ones. And Ive been very fortunate to have everything up to this point. Hopefully I can continue the trend into Wave 4 but we'll see! Anyways, once again, it's so nice to finally be here instead of lurking and I look forward to getting to know everyone :3

Same here, but I'd just walk away from collecting them rather than falling back on scalpers. It's just not worth it at that point.

Does your girl live with you? I'm wondering if the cancellations are triggered by location as the reddit also had a couple were one of the partners got theirs canceled.

Hello everyone. Man, things seem so different here lately, can't quite put my finger on it. So tied up in the Line chat that I barely post here anymore, but I can't neglect the thread that started things for me. Welcome to all new members too!
I reeeeaally hope we don't get waves of Gold Mario cancellations. If we have to set foot into a Walmart to get one, I fear for all of our safety!
Also, any chance we can just not ever discuss "that person" anymore? It adds nothing to the discussion and it only serves to feed attention he desires and enrage us. I say we should drop the subject entirely, and that's that.
Also, Update: for those of you who don't know, I'm getting 7 Mega Mans custom repainted by Saludos Amiibos, and he's had them for a week now. No pics yet, but I expect to see some soon, with a possible ETA for the completed project. Can't wait to show all of you! It's gonna be glorious!

Haha, he looks darker blue in the official art, but in-game, he's actually light blue.
He has a few "light blue" weapons that are easily believable as that color, like Ice Slasher, Gemini Laser, Skull Barrier, etc, but I feel it has to be Air Shooter because it's one of his main weapons in Smash, Up Air. So it makes sense and fits the theme of all his alt Robot Master power outfits being weapons he uses by default in Smash.

Awwww that would've been so bad QQ I already lamented not being able to go and see Markiplier and his rag-tag band of friends and hang out with my friends in that area. Then again, saving up money to move takes a higher priority than a con. Plus I'm already roped into AA for a con next month so money is going into that too.

I still don't want it but I don't see it as being in stock.
It says Not Available for me.

Don't feel too bad, this thing was sold out in minutes, it can't really be helped. I actually missed out on a MP10 bundle with Gold Mario because I was at the Place Order screen, but stopped to post here first and call a friend about it. Went to place, and it was SOLD OUT.
I really hope some folks here got it. Thanks to Akim for posting the Alert in Line.
