Haha, nice! I agree, his natural simplicity lends himself perfectly with the cartoon art style. For some reason, simplicity doesn't guarantee success. Ness is similar in face size and simplicity but those few pics released the other day seem off. They turned his face from a square to an oval, removing his chubby cheeks. It looks like they made his eyes wider and maybe placed them farther apart, overall making him look a bit ...supernatural. Hopefully that's just a bad example of Ness and not consistent like Smash Peach. But I sense nothing off with that Toad whatsoever.
Before watching your guys' video, I was thinking of replacing my Smash Bowser with the Mario Series Bowser since he's bigger and still has texture work. But now I've changed my mind. I like the grittier colors on the Smash Bowser and the chrome studs, and the texture work is still better.

Still locked in for Mar 27 - 30 according to the site. It is a single order for 2 figures, and I placed it in the third wave of preorders on the first day iirc.

Ugh, looks like my MetaKnight order from Japan may have been lost in transit. I've been waiting since the 31st of January and still no sign of it. May end up having to trade for it. How easy is it to find one in trade? I definitely have the goods for it, though I'd rather not give up some of those figures unless I have to.
So far only getting toad and gold mario from MP series... but seeing how much bigger and the style differences beween the MP and Smash versions... it's quite a big difference. There are pros and cons for each, but it definitely can't be said that they aren't different enough, IMO.

I'd say it is pretty darn difficult - Meta is certainly unicorn status, at least in the US

Australia is doing the Mario party 10 bundle as well as selling him separately. Strange if other places aren't.

Yeah I knew that much, I have some unicorns to offer, at least, but was wondering how many people even had them available for trade.
No Walmart email yet either, and I preordered last night...wonder what the determining factor might be.
I ordered mine within a few minutes of them going up, (only one) and I just received the delay email.

Count me in on the Gold Mario. Ordered within a minute. Just got the delay notice.
Those photos make me wish I gotten a Meta Knight Amiibo.
Same. 4/8 is my new release date.
Sometimes shipments from overseas only take 3 weeks. I have had them take 3 months before though. Things get held up by customs sometimes. Maybe it will show up in the next couple of weeks.

I got the delay notice on Gold Mario today too. April 8th release date with an anticipated April 15th arrival (value shipping).
Oh well, as long as they don't cancel me it's fine...it's just going to sit on a shelf anyway!

Thanks, that's encouraging. I'm freaking out a little since it's nearing the 45-day window and I'll be screwed for filing a complaint with Paypal if it doesn't show, but I really just want the damn figure.

Didn't paypal extend the window from 45-day to 180-day back in September?
You bought it on Ebay? File the complaint right before the 45 day window to be safe and they may extend the timeframe since it is international and give the package a few more weeks to arrive. Same thing happened to me on Ebay before but the product got to me a few weeks after I filed. Since it was international they gave the seller more time. I was fine with that because it wasn't his fault that customs held things up.
