Well, after seeing the responses you guys put, I decided to get a Gold Mario amiibo. Here's the thing though: They wouldn't let me buy it.

They had three of them out there in the open for anyone to buy, but when I went to pay for it, they scanned it and said that they couldn't let me buy it since it's not out until tomorrow. I'm actually pretty bummed out about this. I had cash in my hand and everything. Why did they put them out there if they weren't allowed to let people buy 'em?

I didn't even want it THAT bad but I'm still upset.
 
My Toad Amiibo shipped from Walmart via fedex today will receive it on Monday..still no shipping confirmation for the Gold Mario amiibo still says delivery estimate March 24th

Hide one in a different department and come back for it tomorrow!

Should have snagged it, then hid it somewhere in the store.
 
Though I'd prefer to use individual display cases for each Amiibo (ala Disney Infinity ones), this golf ball display case with magnetic glass door looks nice. Not sure of the dimensions, but it looks like it may only be suitable for smaller Amiibo.

It's by MCS, so it should be at places like Walmart, Target, Michaels, etc. soon if not there already.

I use this case. I have two of them so far, they were having a "buy one, get one free" deal in-store so I caved. They look pretty dang legit and are perfect for amiibo, just take out the stuff to hold up the baseball bat. According to my calculations, they should even hold the taller Super Mario line without trouble. I'll know for sure by tomorrow...

They are 10" wide, 8 1/2" depth

They only come in this color unfortunately

They are in the kitchen organization area. I would look at each one carefully since its not a top quality brand, some can have defects. But like i said, they are a nice looking display if you don't want to spend a lot
 
JUst got back from my walmart. They have 2 boxes, one box has 12 gold marios and the oher is the mario party amiibo. I didnt ask if it was actually the mario party 10 game and amiibo or just a single figure?


is there just a separate mario party amiibo?

anyways, i asked when they were selling them. tjhey said at 12:01 right aftner midnight tonight. she said shes had a few people calling in asking. i plan on going around 190PM, with my tablet or book and stake my claim.

so.

like i sad earlier, is there a separate mario party amiibo without the game? and is it gonnna be rare?

Yes, it will eventually be released in the US. Right now it's only being released in Japan and EU, it will not be rare. The Gold mario will be.

Anyone have an extra DeDeDe they're selling for cheap?

Also, my Mario Party 10 Bundle with Mario arrives tomorrow got it for 10 dollars less due to the original amazon listing :D

Also getting Peach, Toad and Yoshi with it. Pretty excited.
 
Anyone have any kind of estimation as to how many gold marios walmart may be getting per store? Snagging one would be awesome but I'm probably not going to wait for it any more than a couple of hours. If that means that I probably won't get one then so be it. I'm spring breaking in el paso right now and am kind of banking off the fact that not too many people will be keen on lining up here since their break ended a week ago.

All of the Amiibos in the Super Mario Series will be releasing alongside Mario Party 10 tonight. Those include gold mario, regular mario, luigi, peach, bowser, toad, and yoshi. Some of these characters have been released before but this new series will have them in different poses, shapes, etc.
 
In other news, my Meta Knight from BB that was shipped on 2/19 is currently en route to my local post office...1 month in transit! I'm nervous as to how he will look like :/ Hope he survived his journey across the ocean!
 
Well, if my friend doesn't come over to hang out tonight I'll prob head out around midnight for shits and giggles. The bigger question is where a 24/7 Walmart is around here nowadays...
 
Toad on his way from Best Buy and SMB Peach on her way from Walmart. My 2 gold Marios order from Walmart is still processing though.
 
I expect no less than 40+ pages of Gold Mario stories tomorrow. Don't fail me GAF! ;D
 
TRUs around me i've been able to check say they have plenty of MP10 guys; at least 20 of each, plus more for Toad.

So that's kind of cool. Hopefully I'll be able to do my original plan and pick up these guys when stores are having sales. Couldn't do that at all for these Smash guys.
 
My complete set of Mario party Amiibos and Mario Party 10 + Mario will arrive from Amazon tomorrow in one box no less :) My two Gold Marios still say processing on Walmart.com though with an expected arrival of March 27th-30th :(
 
3 in line so far at my Walmart, we're sharing to hotspot so we're entering club Nintendo coins to pass the time.

That Gold Mario is mine!
