So that building with all those things worshipping that thing and they all come running at you what to do lol

I don't know if people are aware of this but if you go to the very top of the rafters there's something you can hit with a torch that
sets the giant werebat thing on fire and roasts several of the enemies.
It's super fucking cool.

This may be blasphemy but I'll ask anyway...

Has From Software ever NERFED a Soul's game because it was "too hard"?

Like a certain boss or less enemy congestion is a certain area?

I wonder how the community would react?

Dark Souls 2 had several boss nerfs or NPC summon buffs that made it easier.

I honestly don't know why the past 2 games haven't just kept the Estus Flask system as it was, it worked so well in Dark Souls 1. Capping the Blood Vials at 20 and having the surplus going into storage, means it's alright, but I'd rather not have to grind after I end up dying to a boss a lot.

This game is real good though, I've been playing it pretty much nonstop.

think I'm done with this game

every time i get BSB low i manage to get caught in that bullshit one hit kill

I've done it at least 7 times now

Most definitely the one on
the gatling gun

I assumed so, but theres also another one running around like a spaz

speaking of hunters, just bought
Stake Driver
. I dont even care if its good or not, or if I wasted 8000 echoes... that shit is BAD ASS

?

It's happened before. Amana got nerfed pretty fast in DkS2. DkS1 got patches that increased soul gains and stuff.

Shrine of Amana from Dark Souls 2, was "nerfed" significantly. I also seem to remember that some things were tweaked in Dark Souls to make it "easier" but I might be remembering it wrong.

Edit: Beaten... Dang it!

I kind of like it, it's a throwback to the grass system of Demon's Souls.

As I understand it you need to collect 10 insight before you get access to an item that allows you to help others in coop. Is that 10 unspent insight points or 10 points irrespective of if you use them up or not?

You can find a lantern pretty quick to escape there. Go up the rounded staircase

Found it, thanks!
But is there another area available or am I supposed to get through that part now?
I've looked for a door or gate everywhere, hoping there was something that I had missed before.
But I can't.

Animations that felt slightly off, enemy encounters that weren't as carefully crafted, level design that was more straight forward etc. In general just a lack of that insane attention to detali the first game had.
Now you owe me €400 :P
Basically it feels like a fine mix between Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. The enemies are varied and really well made. The environments are definitely better than DS 2's environements and overall it feels more polished to me.

The game is dark though. Like, really dark. DS 2 had some bright areas but Bloodborne barely has any of those, from what I've played so far.

You need 10 insight in your possession (unused).

Even if you access the shop once and use up some insight, you won't be able to access it until you are holding 10 again.

So try to buy everything you need from it in 1 go

This game is really something special when it come to graphical design. It's technically not the best looking game, but the atmosphere is just perfect. There's so much detail in the environments, the use of color is sublime and the animations are excellent. The audio is perfect as well.

Definitely the Souls game with the best atmosphere imo.
When I stumbled upon the location
Hemwick Charnel
I was in awe. Overall I love the hell out of the art direction in this game. The aesthetic is more in line with what I'm into than Souls and I loved the hell out of those games as well.

I had some fun with that one. I absolutely loved his hit and run tactic.

Wow, so I'm getting the patch on 2.7gb now and it's seriously giving me an estimation of 11 hours. Is that normal or
is there something wrong on my end? I also got a system update but that finished really quick.

A way to always keep a healthy stock of Blood Vials is to use any remaining Blood Echoes, after leveling and upgrading, to buy more Blood Vials from the Messenger vendor in the Hunters Dream. It also has the added effect of letting you start a new area with a minimal amount of souls, making it less risky to die early on.

Hey guys quick question should chalice dungeons be left for endgame or should you do them as you get the chalices?

anyone remember the fastest way / lantern to get back to that woman that said she wanted us to find her someplace safe? I assume I can talk to her again now that I talked to the guy in the cathedral

Thanks, this helps a lot. No coop help on father g for me, I guess ... Have to save that insight.

Second boss is giving me a hard time! Any suggestions?

Here's what worked for me. During the first phase, before he transforms into a werewolf, fight him on the right side as you walk in. Put the tombstones that are there between you and him. He will hack and slash and hit the tombstones for the most part. You will need to circle strafe around the tombstones to keep them between you and him. Then, if you have the cane, you can turn it in a whip and whip him. The whip will go above the tombstones and hit him. Keep doing this until he turns into a werewolf. If you don't have the cane, you'll need to use the ranged attack of your weapon to get close, then use the tombstones a buffer to allow you to heal. He will hit you this way, that's why the cane-whip is better here.

One he transforms, use the music box and it will stun him for a bit. Use your heavy attacks at this point, then back away and throw as many molotovs on him as you can. If he's not dead, run away using the trees as a buffer between you and him. This is the toughest part of the fight. Because if he gets you in a combo, it's over. You need to try and kill him as quick as you can after he transforms, healing as much as you can.

I downloaded like 23 gigs at my home . At my parents house now , spent 2 hours fighting
father Gascoigne
until I defeated it , now the I can't open the door because " can't proceed because the game hasn't fully installed "
Slow speed ,Fuck ! .:-

Go through the door in the big round courtyard outside the cathedral

They reduced poise on some giant skeletons and aggro on lava dragon butts and increased drop rates but that's it.

Yeah I got
trapped
earlier and that area seems to be higher level area than probably what you are now. Theres a lamp
up the stairs. You'll have to evade some of these big guys but they are slow.

You can kill the two at the top of the stairs pretty easily. Run back down the stairs a little ways and provoke them to chase you. They are too tall and don't fit so you can slay them and make them look stupid in the process.

I beat Father G today. His
first form is easy, and once he goes beast mode just throw 3-4 moltovs at him.
That made it a lot easier for me. He was much easier than the Cleric Beast.

Are you able to parry with your main weapon's two-handed form? i.e. Kirkhammer Sword out --> Shoot and stun --> L1 to switch to hammer --> Use hammer for parry?

Old Yharnham making anyone else's PS4 seem as if it's dying? I'm getting a decent amount of stuttering and sound cuts.

Cheers, guys/gals.

Sounds brutal! Thanks so much I'll try this in a moment!

OT2? Damn I still gave to check for replies on OT1 rofl

11 hours in only 2 bosses down. Again, taking my sweet time.

I feel your pain. My main thing is I hate farming bullets after every failed attempt. I'll throw myself at a boss repeatedly, but farming trips between is stupid.

in Demon's Souls you start with a slight White Tendency (enemies do less damage/have less health) at the beginning for the us release.

in Dark Souls skeletons didn't give you any souls, during the capra demon fight both dogs + demon were in your face, immediately when you enter the fog.

those are the only things I've noticed.

Killed the cleric beast. Should I farm the blood echoes for the 10000 key and the 2000 light?

Thanks

Depends on a few things: If you've only Killed the Cleric beast, then don't farm for the key just yet, the place you need to use the key on is a ways off and you'll get alot of souls during later parts of the game.

If you need to proceed and have exhausted all other options, then you have to.

You can upgrade the vial cap eventually with runes I think

Also, I did not know this lol
