Is it normal for some of the lanterns to not show up on the quick travel menu at Hunter's Dream??? The last 3 haven't, including Forbidden Woods. I'm confused.

Yeah I suppose so

It's mainly bullets, just seems to be slowing my progress I'd rather be getting on with trying to take on the boss. It's a shame because for the most part I'm loving it but some things are bringing it down for me at the moment.

Can't you save up your bullets for the boss though? Which boss are you on?

Anyone else get like 1fps while going through fog gates? Happens online and off
Yeah it's a bug. Happens in the Forbidden Woods boss gate every time online it sucks. I think it's being addressed in the patch.

Check the other headstones.

Well that's useless then. I have no more crescent moon looking gems at this point so getting my Ludwig to +6 won't mean I'll happily put a new gem there.

Also unrelated but after VA boss I feared what the next boss might be but
witch
is a joke if you ignore mobs and just run around. Basically the pinwheel of bloodborne

He's wrong I think—try putting gem in your weapon and you'll see on the weapon stat page it changes your weapon dmg to fire/bolt/arc (unless you already have arc dmg I've noticed). Your scaling changes as well and will have a permanent element enchantment. Test it to see.

Is there any plot/lore stuff in the Chalice Dungeons? The game feels like it's hinting that there is, and I know (Chalice boss spoiler)
there's a boss called Yharnam, which seems like a weird thing to drop in there if there's no plot significance.

Quoting for new page. Mostly want to know if, as a lore obsessive, I should focus on taking them all down at some point.

Summoning doesn't seem to be working properly. Or if it is working as intended they need to change it because it takes way too f'ing long

i can come and help. Lv30 second charater here. but i am not at the boss door yet ;p gonna take 5 minutes

I was a couple levels below you last night and couldn't find anyone for the fight. I eventually gave up and went at it alone. Always be on the offensive and the fight is actually pretty easy. If you make the fight last too long, the poison becomes a big pain in the ass. I had no problems doing co-op with father g, but with bsb I had zero luck.

I beat him at 18 or so, so too high might be more likely.

Lol, you guys replied after I posted I beat it after finally summoning someone. I got him down to like 25% health first try, but then I ran out of fire paper. I tried a couple more and he just kept getting me and not allowing me to get up and heal and use antidote.

Just faced the
Cleric Beast
. It grabbed me and I got stuck on top of a statue. Looks like it broke the game since I can't progress any further. Wished I save the video clip instead of saving a screenshot.

Is level 28 too low to summon others right before BSB? I've had it going for a long time.

I haven't had any trouble being summoned, but I've had no luck summoning anybody to help me. Hopefully it's something that can be patched, or at least explained better to help it work.

There are multiple gravestones that can warp. Try the ones to the left of the one you usually use.

MID GAME BOSS SPOILERS
Welp, I found Rom. The was to find him was really cool, but what the fuck at that fight. What are recommended tactics for that? First phase was fine, but the second phase destroyed me. I don't even want to know what happens after that.

I am getting really rusty. I couldn't get past the cleric beast and in the end had to summon help. This game feels a lot harder than Demon's Souls and Dark. And it's so good for it. I love how it plays but am still getting a hang of the controls, parrying with the shotgun is especially tricky, reason why I died so many times on the Cleric beast, couldn't parry him enough to save my life.

The world of Yarnam is disgustingly beautiful, I love it.. and the crows will haunt my dreams tonight... that is if I sleep...

Those enemies that spew fireballs in Byrgenwerth are sometimes making the framerate drop a ton with their fireball explosions. Saw a few in a Chalice dungeon too and it was doing the same thing. Felt like the game was running at like 2 fps. :<

Does the game's framerate die for anyone else when you go through a fog door? I think this is the third or fourth time I've seen the entire game chug for a solid 10 seconds while doing it.

Edit: lol, see the same thing listed above.

Congrats! This thread moves so damn fast.

So has anybody else died without the game respawning you? I've been sitting here for 20 minutes watching the patrol of the enemies that killed me. I've melted into a puddle of blood and have a top hat sitting next to it. I can't do anything other than change active item, and can't even pause and exit. I'm guessing that if anybody else experienced this they probably just had to suffer the echoes hit. Meh.

How are you liking it so far? I personally think it's one of the best games I've played. Things aren't perfect, but what From game is? In spite of some technical shortcomings and glitches, the gameplay is superb, and the sense of dread when entering a new area is awesome. I'll be summoning a lot of you from my FL during my NG+, that's for sure!

I'm loving it, my personal GOTY so far. It'll be pretty tough to top. I've played all the Soul's games and Demon's Souls has finally been topped. Bloodborne is a different beast lol! It brings a fear factor to the table that the others didn't have. The tension is Last of Us level, in my opinion. From totally nailed the art style, Victorian London totally fits Bloodborne. The loading times need to be patched, a few other hiccups. But this is the most technically sound game From has delivered thus far. I'm nowhere done, but I'll be doing co-op for most of NG+ as well :D

Hey moonbros!

Just beat VA, any suggestions on where to go next? Facing her boss room, there was something to the left (looked like a
cave
) and to the right had
some electrical mob
.

Or is there another way to go using the
gold locket
?

Thanks!

Any tips on weapons with good scaling at higher levels? I got my Saw Spear to +9 but it's still C scaling with Skill, got the Chikage to +7 and it has A scaling Bloodtinge..but Blood damage seems to suck (Maybe it's good against bosses?)

I was planning to start over as soon as I finished since I screwed up my build, 18STR,22Skill 24Blood trying to figure out which weapons were decent. But don't really want to farm 50+ twin blood shards just to see how the scalings change on every weapon.

I did pretty much the exact same thing, use Saw Spear +9 for the most part, but I leveled up the rapier/gun thing (I forget the name) to +9... but it sucks.

The best natural Skill scaling weapon I've seen is either the daggers or the scythe, but I screwed myself by using all my upgrade materials and now I'm in NG+ with a loooong way to go before I can go get Chunks.

I'm guessing the best way to make weapons scale is to find gems that increase the scaling of the weapon, since very few weapons seem to get a natural A scaling, but I have no idea where to farm those gems, I only got one during my playthrough and it was rather low value.

Rom's fog door goes at 1fps for me

Everyone I try to help dies at this boss. It's great

WAT IS THAT

After beating the
Blood Starved Beast
where is a good place to go next? I'm completely lost after beating him, can't seem to find a new area. Been exploring a few hours, no idea where to go.

The key from the shop opens up a gate in the cathedral district where you can continue. You can also get around it using falling techniques but I never did that. Also, if you warp back to the cathedral the door on the right is now open.

I've read so many horror stories of the
3 phantoms
in the forbidden woods, I just handled the shit out of that fight.
I honestly think it was as easy as the Witch of Hemmwick. I don't know if I glitched the fight or something, but I beat it on my second attempt and was never even in any real danger. Maybe I just happened on the right strategy, but what I did was kill melee guy with the whip first. I completely ignored the other 2. I would use the gravestone as sort of a shield from the fireball guy whenever possible. Eventually he turned into a snake and things got a tad harder, but still not much. I finished him off and the other 2 guys were still at full HP. One guy had a firey sword at that point, and I took him out next, continuing to roll through fireballs or (ideally) fighting him on the other side fo the gravestone so the fire guy couldn't hit me. Once he was dead, the fire guy stopped using magic, he just kept trying to hit me with his club, and he was a total joke.
Easy mode?

Those crows man....those fucking growls are terrifying.

Consiering how huge the game is and with co-op/mp and chalice dungeon I may have to push a few upcoming games further back into the fall for purchase. I don't think I'll be leaving Yarnham anytime soon and don't want to distracted.

During the first phase, clear out the spiders and then go ham on its side. If you keep attacking you can interrupt its teleport and get it down to like half health (maybe lower, but I only ever got that far solo). From then on, ignore the spiders and keep moving to dodge its spells. Run in and hit Rom once or twice and run back out before it does the AOE attack or something. It gets a physical attack in the final phase so watch out for that too, just stay moving all the time.

Someone here posted a video showing the flamethrower against it and it killed Rom before it ran out of ammo. I don't know if you need high bloodtinge or a leveled up flamethrower for that strat though

O shit, I'm sorry man. I thought you were talking about warping there
when she's fighting the other hunter
. I don't think there's any way to walk back to unseen village.

You're supposed to go there from Rom, it seems. With the lamp not letting me warp to it, and
big fella murdering me to nightmare land
I got nothin.

Not exactly digging chalice, ATM. Is each floor super small? A friend and I spent more time making the dungeon and summoning than we spent in the dungeon floor. After killing the first boss that was it. We just split up. All of like 4 minutes. A small handful of fodder that were 2 swipes down and a boss. I know there are more floors but really? Damn. I wanted to co op and wreck some crawling but nope. So far a bit short.

Where in Yarnham up until the second boss (which I just defeated) should I ring the small resonant bell to have a high chance of being summoned?

Loving the game so far!
Still have not encoutered any boss, but I believe it is harder then D. Souls indeed. Quite a time I don't play the Soul series already, but it seems the enemies in Bloodborne are indeed quite more agile and you need to rely almost 100% on agility since you mostly can't block.
