I used bolt paper and whenever I dodged I would dodge towards the back of his feet, trying to stay under his belly near his hind legs, and spamming R1 attacks there. I feel like it almost stun-locked him twice. Just doesn't seem like the AI there deals well with it, so it made the fight easier. (It is scary to be up that close though and you have to hope the camera plays nice)

bolt paper? but...but
he's made of electricity
O_o

Could anyone help me with the two last questions?

Is there any point to this "badges" you gain after defeating bosses?, how do you use them?

In one of my revisits to Central Yharnam
I found the little girl that gives you the music box, after I already beat father G, I think I found the little girl´s mom, but I used the brooch to get the blood gem since at the time I didn´t knew about this side quest. So I guess I can´t complete it now, can I? Is there any futher purpose to the music box?
Is it okay to get blood gem from the gold pendant that you obtain from V
icar Amelia
?or is there another better use for it?

That would be for know, 5 bosses down, and despite getting my hopes down at moments,
I´m loving this game.

To me,Cleric Beast was much easier then Father G...Beast makes you feel like you are getting the hang of it,while you need to have the hang of it for Father G lol...much harder.

Ive already anwsered you before, the badges open up new weapons and armor in the hunters dream store

youll miss a
mensager hat
if you use the gem, no biggie

So, is there a boss list anywhere yet? I think I've killed everything except the final boss but I want to make sure before I go do that because
it throws me straight into NG+ afterwards.

guys i think i'm about to fight 3rd boss
blood starved beast
is there no shortcut nearby? would hate to go through all that again :<

edit: also I dont udnerstand how the guy earlier had a +10 weapon for him, since by the point in the game I havent seen any chunks at all which you need after +5 /shrug

You can farm chunks from a few places like
the gargoyles in Cainhurst Castle and the big wolves in Unseen Village

Yeah on NG the Cleric Beast is easier, I killed it on my first try. On NG+ though it gets a huge HP boost that makes it harder than Father Gascoigne though imo. Father Gascoigne is easy to parry and doesn't seem to have a HP boost as big.

Just reached
Nightmare frontier
.
Get me out of here :(

It's optional so feel free to run away :P

God, I'm trying to get to Vicar Amelia but ffs, I have to jump down some wooden bridges or something but I can't see anything below so I keep plummeting to my death

Okay, so I'm at the first boss
Cleric Beast
; any tips from fellow Skill-based Cane users? Also, is it worth saving up for the outfit-parts I can buy, or do they not offer much in the way of added defence?

Edit: I have already upgraded the Cane to +1 so far.

I beated BSB as a third boss and now I'm wandering around, I have no idea where to go, everything seems close. I found a new door open from the cathedral lanter but its a series of tower and the only way down I see is a fall way to big to survive.

The outfit its worth, although you get a similar one stat-wise somewhat near you are
in the sewer parts of the city
(it's the one of the box art)

Buy the badge at the Hunter's Dream and open the door near the Cathedral lamp, the one with that friggin tall dude with an axe patroling through the stairs

You can't re-spec? Great.

Also what is the consensus on the samey armors and weapons? I miss my armor variety, but I guess it is owed to the battle system?
I'm glad they got rid of the weight system because it just resulted in people maxing out endurance and flipping around in havels. The downside of that is less armor variety. The ideal solution to me would be to get rid of the old weight system and determine character walk speed and roll speed by what "weight class" their armor is in.

Look harder :) Also, you can drop from a higher distance in Bloodborne than in the Souls games.

I have 5 Insight Items.

I do not have the summoning bell.

I have already combed the levels for more Insight items but none have appeared.

I don't want to use the Insight that I have because I want to start co-op, and I'm afraid of wasting them on summoning to fight this shitty 3rd boss.

Guys, how in the hell do I get more Insight in general? Dying at the boss, which has happened a lot, doesn't give me anything.

Find an item called "madman's knowledge" that gives you 1 insight when you use it.

What are you end-game guys stopping END at? I have 25 and I feel like I have more than enough.
I really don't know what to level now, I'm still in Dark Souls mindset where I did put a lot of points on END.

Also, I noticed my R1 transformed Saw attack is faster now :/

My current stats are. Lvl 66

Str 25
Skill 25
Bld 7
Arc 7

I don't know what stats to boost now either. Probably Vit to 30

Honestly you don't need more than 25 END, I have 25 END and I can roll like 13 times before running out of stamina.....

And so the cycle of frustration begins anew...

On the 3rd boss encounter... V

And my first impression is whether or not my weapons are under-cooked. My weapons seem to barely scratch it.

It doesn't help that I'm still not good at dealing with Cathedral Giants. Those things are annoying.

Hmm, yeah, the weight system had it's fair share of advantages and disadvantages. I am not sure how I feel about the BB solution yet, the game is too new. It is definitely a new approach, but just like Soul Memory too, it has ups and downs.

Not a fan of the PvP in general so far, but I only had a few laggy matches.

Those items are infinite use, they just require certain Arcane levels to equip and take Bullets.

I dumped 40 points into it for shits and giggles since that's the highest req on one of the items.

Boy that was pointless and a total waste of levels, I personally feel that they're all a bunch of trash.

I really, really, really, really, really wish you could respec.

Whats wrong with them? Are they weak? :o

I think I found enough shard to get the cane to +2 before the fight. I mostly kept my distance - let him come to you and after he finishes an attack, go in for a few hits. Try to keep to his side or back if you can and the camera lets you. I didn't feel the whip mode was very useful outside of switch combo attacks. And bring some molotovs.

There's two bosses that could be thought of as the third boss. Go find the other one and get insight by trying to fight it. Also, near the the bonfire you're probably at, do some searching for items. If something weird happens, don't be afraid of it.

Uhh... I think I glitched the game:

[Shaded woods to Clinic shortcut]
I don't think I can get to cainwurst anymore. To preface, let me say after the creepy doctor chick took her first patient, I started attacking her door and pissed her off to the point where she went away. A friend found the way to get into the back of the clinic to check what that crazy doctor did to the people he sent them, fought her and got the invitation to Cainwurst.

On the other hand, when I went there I she was no where to be found and there was no invitation. Now, this is where things get glitchy. I walked back and forth over a spot in the clinic multiple times when I was looking around and I would get 2200-some souls everytime I did for some weird reason.
I backed out after getting 8000, as I don't really want to glitch souls. But did I ruin anything? Is there
another way to get to that dungeon?

Still looking to an answer to this if anyone knows.

SKL 15

rest untouched. Guess Ill keep leveling the offensive stats

Yeah, thats what I thinking, even with the big L2/R2 attacks of the heavy weapons I have enought for a combo+an emergency evade. I never felt like I needed more for a while.

I should probably clarify! I'm at the boss called the blood-starved beast. He's kind of a dick. So there's something in that area to check out? Cool, lemme do that.

the one in black
is an npc hunting rogue hunters, you can help her for a reward and to continue her quest

Ok, well when I got back there, only the yellow guy is alive and he keeps killing me. Even an R2 charged axe hit isn't doing much damage to him. He's like another father Gascoigne - don't like these hunter on hunter fights whe they have guns too.

I recommend the use of
