Beat Rom. Key is to run in, R1 twice (used Hunter's Axe) and roll out.

I've killed 10 bosses, but I still don't know how to open the gate next to the Clinic, at the very beginning of the game.
Anyone help me out?

How many times have you guys died by getting stuck on scenery and trying to dash?
I appreciate the detail but it's a pain when you're trying to weave around and you get stuck on a statue.

I can't tell you how lost I got in that area, and how many souls I lost to the common enemies only to beat the boss on my first try.
Has anyone been able to reliably coop yet? My brother and I were 44 and 42 each 7 insight trying with and without passwords while trying local and worldwide for like 30 or 40 min.

Seems like GAF is starting to get more critical of the game. I hope it doesn't get out of hand. Bloodborne is certainly a great game but I've had a few issues with it that may seem really minor that hold it back from being on the same level as DeS and Dark Souls 1.
My issues:
- There's a lack of interesting NPCs. Why are so many behind doors? The ones that aren't don't seem as interesting as the ones in the other three games. I hope that changes in the second half. Also, I love NPC merchants. Buying/selling from an NPC gives you this weird bond with them that makes you care for the character more than you would have otherwise. The Bath Merchants are just so bland in comparison.
- Lack of environmental diversity and some wasted opportunities with Yharnam. I'd have liked to see more of the city instead of just the abstract city streets. Why not visit a hospital, a market, some homes, etc. I think there was a decision made in the development where they realized that it's just too costly and time consuming to make the large variety of environments seen in the other games in the series at the quality level they wanted. That said, each individual environment in Bloodborne really does look fantastic. If there's a sequel, maybe a bigger team could be put in place to fix this (assuming it doesn't become a Dark Souls 2 mish-mash.
- You seem to randomly pick up important items in boring places. It makes things a little less memorable. Also, lots of places/secrets that you think will reward you with a great piece of equipment or weapon end up just being forging material or some random item you can buy from the bath merchant.
- The pacing is a bit odd. You stay in Yharnam too long in the beginning. It would have been nice if they could have you go on 1 or 2 mini treks through something else before you get to the Frontier areas.
- The outfits in the game are great but I want more of them and more diversity.
That's mostly it. My issues aside, the game is still fantastic and a far more enjoyable experience than Dark Souls 2.
So I just reached Old Yarnham...
:OHoly shit that gatling gun!
So I'm apparently at a point where I need topurchase a key from the Insight fountain, but I'm not seeing it available to purchase. I have the item from Cleric Beast or whatever that's required but I don't see it available for purchase. Is it just because I don't have enough Insight? I have 12 right now.
Sidestep under him and go for the legs. When he starts charging his bolt thing, remove your lock-on so that you can roll through the explosion. Technically possible with the sidestep but I found it much harder. It took me a few tries, but in the end staying under him was what won it for me.Any tips? I couldn't even get close to him.
