Bloodborne |OT3| I Cane, I Saw, I Conqu- YOU DIED

Does anyone know the location of Beast Claws? Really having a hard time finding this weapon in the chalice dungeons. Arghh.

There's compilations of chalice dungeon glyph codes on reddit and gamefaqs. I don't have the links on hand but people tend to post ones with easily-accessible specific weapons. I got my uncanny stake driver from one.

Only catch is you had to have created one of those dungeons before - for example mine was in a Sinister Lower Hintertomb. It's free to open up once you've created a dungeon of that type, which is cool.

I'm really interested in Lost weapons (they have one of each gem slot type) but I'm not sure where to find the Loran and Isz chalices - the boss of Lower Hintertomb didn't give me the next 'tier' like they usually do. Nor do I think my body is ready for them because Lower Hintertomb was brutal enough.

If you don't use the item then he only changes at ~%25 health remaining and can then be
stunned once by the music box

Man, that's so cool. It's really neat that if you think you're getting an edge by using the item early, you (potentially) get screwed for it.

For other chalices, I know the optional bosses drop some, and you can also find chalices in side rooms during the dungeons (a gold side door connecting layers in the long hallways).

I'm still trying to beat BSB GAF...is it just me or do bosses have twice as much health as in souls games? I feel like its hard because it takes forever. I started with using the cane but now I'm using the saw, does marginally more damage. I feel like I've learned the patterns and the timing for gun shots but its matter of not screwing it up for what seems like a pretty long fight.

S
hadow of Yharnam
gonna be fun... :((((((((((

wish me luck

Woah, I had no idea how covenants worked in this game until I checked the wiki. Turns out I'm I've found 3 and didn't even know it. Only the
Vilebloods
felt like I was joining a covenant.

Wow, that bitch in
Iosefka's clinic
was really fucking annoying. It took 3 attempts XD. Did anyone else have a problem with her?

When I got to her,
She was on a table, talking. Didn't fight back, there was no resistance. Why are people saying to keep her alive? But yeah, I basically executed a defenseless woman.

Holy shit :O

How did you get your levels so high so quickly? I don't really feel like any place is particularly good to farm you know -- the stuff that drops high blood are always pretty dangerous.

Cathedral area-killing all enemies(especially those at the stairs).I equip 2 "Heir" Runes(grands more blood echoes from visceral attacks) and 1 Moon Rune (acquire more blood echoes). I make the enemies dizzy with parrying, then press R1 and BOOM!

I take about 5000-10000 blood echoes from each one.Rinse and repeat.

I also have 99 insights,if that counts.

Father G is destroying me. He's just too fast! I'm dodging like a muthafucker

Can't decide if I need to be close or far away yet, or if I should be locked on or free but I definitely need to better use the cover to avoid his gunshots.

I got right up close to the Cleric Beast, and hacked away at his crotch to take him down. Get the smackdown laid on me when I get right up in Father G's grill though.

the optional bosses will give you those chalices. Remember to prepare well because they are not easy

Is there a specific moment where you can fight against
Amygdala? Because I've the Tonsil Stone, I went to round hall and when the portal hit me I don't remember if I die but nothing special happened, I've to try again but... Do I need to do something else?

My favorite boss was probably (don't unspoil unless you've seen the final boss)
mergos wet nurse. She wasn't particularly difficult but I loved her design and fighting style. I also enjoyed that she took me to the shadow realm. I was ready to dual her with cards at that point.

She was cool. Except she bugged for me on my playthrough. Only throwing a couple of fairly basic attacks which were easy to avoid. Went down easy. Did dome co-op there later and she broke out everything as she should. Was a much more entertaining fight. Still beat her though

You can cheese him with the tombs and trees.

Personally I would recommend learning his tells for the attacks that take a lot of time to end (like the spin attack when his Axe is extended) and then practice dashing toward him to avoid damage, instead of away from him.

All rules go out the window when he is no longer using the axe.

I started with using the cane but now I'm using the saw, does marginally more damage. I feel like I've learned the patterns and the timing for gun shots but its matter of not screwing it up for what seems like a pretty long fight.

BSB strategy:

Come into the fight with full healing/bullets and antidotes.

In the first phase, focus on stunning him with a gunshot and parrying. This is a really nice and easy way to get him down to nearly half health in just seconds of good timing and caution. The frames you can stun him in are when his right hand is held just over his head -- try to nail that timing.

The second phase is easier than you'd think. Pop a fire paper, and when he looks like he is about to attack, and dodge INTO him (under his arm). If you do it right, every time you will land directly behind him! You can get 3-5 R1 hits here, if you have a longer range weapon. With fire paper adorning you're weapon, you'll absolutely destroy his health each time you successfully do this.

If poison looks like it'll be an issue, then when you get behind him don't attack and use healing/antidotes instead. That's your safety window -- not the pillars, and NOT side dodging. Dodge into him.

You'll need to be really careful of the 1 hit kill the boss will use. This normally happens when you overstay your welcome and overcommit / get greedy when you get behind him.

If after doing this the fight still seems *really* long (> 5 minutes), you should probably upgrade your weapon.

The s.lvl 4-playthrough is more fun than I expected... even having a better time than I had with my main :lol

Everything suddenly feels so insanely balanced. Like, I can never one-shot enemies and they can one-shot me. It's AMAZING. I love this Demon's Souls feeling.

For the love of blood, upload your Waste of Skin playthrough, pretty please *_*

My hunter's dream house
is on fire
. What did I do to trigger it? This game is so crazy, I love it.
Congrats!
You beat the last story boss. Now on the the pseudo final boss and real final boss of you've unlocked it. Or go exploring more.

Yeah I've been pretty good about checking those side areas. They're usually just full of disappointment when you're in a 'base' chalice dungeon - the ones that aren't made with root chalices aren't randomized and generally just give more ritual materials for dungeons. I've found some cool shit like an arcane haze extractor though.

the optional bosses will give you those chalices. Remember to prepare well because they are not easy

I see, I'll be on the lookout for them then. I thought I was close to the end of the game after beating
Rom
but it sounds like I've got lots of bosses to fight still.

Have full health. Get hit by
portal
.

Nice man! Thanks for the tip I will try it out. I never thought to really put all that stuff together and farm blood in that way, stupidly enough :O

Go to the bottom floor of the lecture building. From there its quite the journey, but you should find it

argh, so hard not to just read spoilers cuz so many secrets and optional stuff is coming out. NG+ is gonna be like a new game, lol

but first, I still wanna beat that damn optional boss in
Upper Cathedral

I've tried Father Gascoigne twice and failed.

Are Molotov Cocktails gonna tame this beast or should l try anything else?
He will usually sidestep them if he's not in an gun or axe attack animation, so my advice is save them until he's no longer using his weapons at all and then try it.

People are saying
keep her alive till you kill Rom since she won't put up any resistance and she will drop one of the four umbilical cords. Going after her before Rom results in a fight and no umbilical cord. Going after her after rom results in her just waiting for you to OHK her.

About that....muhahaha

Aaaaaand I think that's the show guys. I'm pretty much my technical restrictions has me defeated indefinitely against the S
hadow of Yharnam

It was fun though, but despite playing at 120%, I'm still dead because it requires such perfectionist play.

That was only one try and I had two left at 50%, but I can't possibly play better than I just did.

What bosses have you fought? That will let us know where you should go.

The latest one i beat was
Amygdala.

i beat
Celric Beast, Father G, Vicar Amelia, Shadows of Yarnham, Rom, the one reborn, blood starved beast and the witch of hemwick.

Do they all one-hit you? How much damage do you do to them?

Father G:
The trick is to always dodge forward through his first attack. Never dodge left or right. This way most of his following attacks miss you and you can easily get 1-2 attacks on him before you have to step back and get some space again.

Does anyone know the location of Beast Claws? Really having a hard time finding this weapon in the chalice dungeons. Arghh.
I got mine in Ailing Loran, layer 2 i believe.

I think the only way tonprogress farther into loran after Lower Loran is buying a Sinister Loran chalice from the bath messengers. On what i believe to be the last chalice in the Pthumerian chalices,
Great Ihyll Pthunerian Chalice
will update if its the one for the
trophy of killing the queen

Can anyone tell me what the first key the merchant in hunters dream sells for 10,000 blood echoes unlocks? Do I need that? Also, I beat
Father Gasciogne
a couple of days ago and don't really know where to go next. I made it to
Old Yarnham
and have gotten mowed down by the
machine gun
hunter several times now. Is this what I'm suppose to be doing next? Thanks! I'm loving the game so far!
