I hope money is easy to come by in the game because after watching that translated video, it looks like the dolls will be quite pricey to maintain and buy new weapons for... especially with 4+ dolls (one for each character). Ouch.
Neg, I read it right, but maybe I didn't represent myself properly. I like the linear story structure of the past games/this kind of game and that is one of the things I was looking forward to. Basically even though I wasn't a big fan of the way the story ended up in Xenoblade it is pretty much one of my favorite formats. Major linear story that leads you through the world with a shit ton of side stuff that you can handle along the way.
I don't really like how that stuff about the story sounds as like someone else said, I love when the story is progressed in a linear fashion like Xenoblade. Of course, it totally depends how they do it and if it keeps me interested in the entire time.

I just found out that
Party character spoiler
Melia is 88 years old... the what?
If you make sure to eject before a doll gets destroyed it will regenerate its damaged parts on its own, as I understood from the video. So you'll only have to pay up if you wreck it and aren't covered by insurance.
You're in the wrong thread about the wrong Xenoblade game^^

Without revealing any spoilers, what can fans of Xenoblade Chronicles look forward to when the franchise comes to Wii U? Will it feel familiar for returning fans, or will it be a departure from what was put together in Chronicles?
Takahashi: I think Xenoblade Chronicles X will have a different play feel from the first Xenoblade Chronicles game. Xenoblade Chronicles is a pretty linear game, but Xenoblade Chronicles X is non-linear, and I think a lot of the gameplay will depend on that.
Xenoblade Chronicles core thrust is centered around its story, but Xenoblade Chronicles X is shaping up to be a game with more focus placed on action elements that take advantage of the open world instead of the story aspects. However, both games will retain a common feel based on the core elements that serve as the foundation for the series. It may feel different to play, but itll provide a new way of having fun within the same Xenoblade series.
Indeed it does!! Dunno why I never thought of that. The avatar makes a heck lot more sense now, specially with online
SHIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET
I did not know this game had multiplayer, let alone whatever the hell that was. That looks so fun
Are we sure that's how it's still being done? I haven't linked this because I assumed it's been dissected in one of the Xenoblade topics, but Takahashi himself has sorta said otherwise.

HahaI just wanted to say that this is the most exciting faux MMO/Space Opera/Fashion Show/City Builder/Relationship Simulator/Hunting/Mech Simulation/Kaiju Battler/JRPG in the past few months.

If you can think of it, chances are it's in this game.

I think before the Extended Cut DLC came out for ME3, the EMS requirement of 4000 for one of the endings was unattainable in the vanilla game even doing every possible sidequest, so multiplayer to raise your readiness rating was required - but then Extended Cut lowered that requirement to 3100, which is doable with single-player.ME3 never forced you to play MP. I didn't even have Xbox Live Gold and I got the "best" ending with sufficient galaxy readiness. Playing MP was just an alternative solution to doing every possible sidequest.
There is also nothing forcing you into online here from the looks of it. Everything can be done with AI.
Clearing things like Squad Missions and Quests progresses our investigation of the planet, and increases the global Conquest Domination level. But as we progress more and more, creatures called World Enemies awaken, who are even stronger than Overed. They’re incredibly difficult to fight, but the rewards are well worth it. If you want the very best Dolls and equipment, you won’t want to miss these fights. Some World Enemies appear at specific times, so try challenging those as well.
Pretty much right?
Heeeeey JeffZero!!! You use the same name on GameFAQs' RPG boards? (I'm usaa)
So guys which Doll type are you going to choose? I'm thinking Inferno or Lailah
Creativity can wait until after I explore another world in a Gundam.I wounder if this sentiment is a side effect of things being so customizable. People wanting to recreate their favorite other series designs I mean, instead of letting the new thing stand on it's own feet. I don't really know if this is a bad thing, just something I've never really understood.
Formula/Lailah. Sleek and pointy da bess.So guys which Doll type are you going to choose? I'm thinking Inferno or Lailah
From the menus in the video, it looked like you could choose between three different types of squads. One for "Life Points," which seems to be solo-oriented, one for "Conquest," probably for people who want to get notifications constantly and fight all the world enemies, and one for "Friends," which I would guess means you and your friends can gather into the same squad in some capacity.holy shit, the mechs in this game are amazing. are squads random or can you choose who is in your squad?
They haven't shown anything yet, but I would imagine they've included some way to either skip travel to them, or have them warp to you. Or call them back to the garage/hangar somehow.I just have one (two?) question regarding the Dolls: how does deploying them work? Do you have to go to your 'garage' in NLA every time you want to use them, or can you deploy them to your/random location in the field? And what happens if you leave your Doll in the field somewhere and go somewhere else? Can you call it in? If you go back to NLA, will it be there waiting for you?

Seems like everyone is going to look like Formulas and Lailahs lol. I may just go Inferno to be one a kind![]()
Anyone know if this will have off-screen play?
I thought the video said not to worry because Elma and Lyn could help you on the fights if you didn't want to do them with other people, including World Enemies. In that way going online might be "required" to have access to some of the Dolls and equipment, and it's unclear whether you'd have similar access in the offline single-player game. But even if you have to go online to fight World Enemies, it doesn't seem like the game is going to force you to do live co-op vs. doing squad quests with AI members.
I'm in love with the Wels, looks so agile and it's Elma's favorite ;DSeems like everyone is going to look like Formulas and Lailahs lol. I may just go Inferno to be one a kind![]()

Well I'm on my phone atm, but if you watch the subbed video Iyakku uploaded on YouTube, it should be there![]()
A picture comparing all the shown dolls. Can even make out some stats and what not. What is interesting to me is the price difference of the complete dolls, with the heavier ones being more expensive by a lot. I wounder what justifies that added cost.
The Wels has rabbit ears...yep I'm getting that one.
They have higher stats across the board, and obviously the most durable of the bunch.
I feel my knowledge of Xenogears lore will make me uncomfortable at the thought of piloting a... Wels...

The sample of the OST is just too divine to not link even if it's been linked before.
Well it would be odd to me if the bigger ones are just a direct upgrade over the smaller ones.
