Holy shit! I had no idea Ford was back to do Han Solo! Fuck!!!
There's so much potential in the concept of a modern Stars Wars movie, I hope they get it right this time.

I'm not a huge star wars fan, don't know much of the lore or anything, but I do like the originals quite a bit. But one of the first things I noticed is how similar visually this looks to the originals and I like that. Honestly makes me more excited for these films than I originally was.

So this Daisy actress;

According to her representative Jonathan Arun's site, Daisy is highly skilled at swimming and can also do: cycling, ice skating, pilates, pool, roller blading, running, and tennis.

According to her representative Jonathan Arun's site, Daisy is highly skilled at cabaret singing, jazz dancing, jazz singing, mezzo-soprano, & tap. She can also do some ballet and violin.

Not bad.

This.

Also the reason I love the OT more then the PT. This trailer just nailed it. Even at work people discuss this.

Bring on Teaser #3 please. 3 months maybe? Can't think of any other BIG Star Wars event anytime soon?

The 'Secret Cinema' is showing Star Wars this summer, but that's likely far too small scale for another trailer to make an appearance.

The trailer didn't leave any impression on me. The Matthew McConaughey video was more memorable. It's probably because it didn't really present a story in the trailer for me to get excited over.

I think that's the nature/definition of teasers. Just to build excitement with no real indication of what's going on at all.

So in the spirit of hype for this and seeing as my wife's never seen Star Wars, we made a pact that she'll watch Episodes 1 through 6 with me in preparation for Ep.7 if I agree to watch all the Twilight movies with her. I feel I'm going to regret this lol.

Yes that includes the prequels which I still liked.

Ugh, I feel your pain. Sat through all those movies for my wife as well. You should make a thread about both your thoughts afterwards.

I'm not seeing world of difference.

For one, Rebel Alliance is more distinctive than The Resistance. If I say Rebel Alliance, people will know I'm referring to Star Wars. If I say The Resistance, that could refer to any resistance group in fiction or real life. It just seems so lazy.

Writer 1: So we gotta make a new name for the Rebel Alliance.
Writer 2: Rebel... rebel... re... resistance! That's it!
Writer 1: That's not good at all. It needs to be more unique so when people say it, they think Star Wars.
Writer 2: Look, it's 4:55 and the train comes at 5. Just call them the Resistance, who gives a shit we could call them the Fannyknackers and this movie will still make two billion dollars.

I look forward to the scene when Luke Skywalker is piggy-backing Rey while training her in the ways of the Force.

Something I missed my first watching: the sith and the storm troopers appear to be working in concert, or at least each attempting to fight the same target(s), and reacting at the same time to someone off screen. The fanboy in me hopes they're fighting off Han and Chewie and rebels, and then turning to face Luke Skywalker just as the tide of the battle is turning. Man I feel like a kid again discussing this movie after seeing Han and Chewie.

But the first teaser left a durable impression on me. Particularly that X-Wing shot. Not so much here, except maybe the first shot with the Star Destroyer.

haha.... I'd lose it.

I showed my dad the trailer last night since he doesn't really "go online" and we had a nice long chat when he showed me and my siblings star wars on VHS back in the day.

I'm annoyingly excited for this film.

I like First Order, it sounds like a logical rebranding of the Empire, but not sure I like Resistance. Makes it seem like the Rebels have made no progress as an organization in 30 years.

Unfortunate wife. The Twilight movies never got as bad as the prequels.

... all these MSW "leaks" are making me anctious as fuck.

Han getting killed by Kylo Ren? Again, I'll walk the fuck out if that happens. Maybe in Episode 8 or 9. You just DONT fucking have no Han for 32 years only to have him get killed. I cherish hope out of the fact he will appear next year on the SWC.

Don't go see TFA then, because that's what will happen.

Same here, exactly. I like the OT quite a bit, though not a huuuge Star Wars fan, even liked the PT somewhat because it was connected but this is like...a direct continuation. And something that feels like a direct continuation. Like revisiting someplace you really liked. I literally screamed a bit at the shot with Han and Chewie. That has never, ever happened to me with something movie related. So good.

Hah the Paul Scheer interview on the Star Wars stream where he and the Lucasfilm guy are trashing the Batman vs Superman trailer and how no one will care about it in the wake of this trailer.

Rebel Alliance has the benefit of being commonly associated with a nearly 40 year old film franchise. It sounds like to just want a second word with "Resistance". Either way, as I said, I'm not seeing a world of difference.

of course they did, the studio rivalry will never stop

it's stupid and pointless

Actually got teary eyed at the end. That "Chewie, we´re home" was just not fair man.

Yeah, that was a straight up kick in the feels. I love the first shot of the downed Star Destroyer and x-wing (hello new, new desktop), but it was really seeing Han Solo and Chewie back that just got my hype levels up.

I kinda hope she's Luke's daughter or someone who he has taken in. Man that chrome trooper is fucking sick, Hot Toys when?!

I'm playing with the idea of this being the first movie i see in Imax.
