Yup, he was asking the good questions. Will the PoE be a good replacement, will it be repetitive, will the upgrading for gear be repetitive, will the gear be too reliant on RNG...he did good.

I would say it splits the playerbase which isn't a good thing when it comes to social hubs, but in Destiny there is no real player+player interaction so it doesn't really matter.

The way they showed it it was anything legendary. There were some old weapons they showed in the menu that also had the reforging option available.

Lots of good news. I will be happy to jump back in.

There were so many times when I wanted to shard a bunch of old legendaries so that I would have the mats to fully upgrade the new ones. I went back and forth in my head time and time again. In the end I kept them and dispursed them amongst my two alts. I was always thirsty for A-Energy but I couldn't bare to rip apart Shadow Price or Zombie Apocalypse or even my sweet Praedyth's Revenge.

Super happy I get to go back to them.

Seriously. They had time for a whole conversation in the loading screen going from the reef to the tower.

The first half hour of the twitch was "Check out our glorified menu"

After the first 5 minutes of walking around the reef, the "ooo"s and "aahhh"s will fade and it will be people sprinting from vendor to vendor as quickly as possible to do the shit that actually matters, just like the tower.

If they put all functionality of the social areas into a menu that was accessible from orbit, would anyone ever use them? I think nope
