So this is coming from someone obviously out of the industry and such...
I wouldn't be surprised if two years after SF5, we see SF6 and it is pretty much USF5, with some gimmick/detail that "proves" it's not SF5.
Sony generally isn't known to pussyfoot around regarding exclusivity deals so I'm thinking it stays PS4/PC and there will be no standalone updates(that is what they said will be the case).
It's funded by Sony the same way Ninja Gaiden 2 was funded by Microsoft. The assets, IP still belong to Capcom and they most surely will eventually use them in a future title for a MS console. It's gonna happen, that's the way the 3rd party AAA industry works. The same thing will happen with Tomb Raider as well for Sony's console.
Let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it's me, I'm a little f***** up maybe.
Is Sony Co-funding and co-developing the game with Capcom?
Is Sony's Involvement with Capcom on the proyect similar to the Bloodborne proyect with FS?
This mean NO SSFV or USFV on Xbox One in the future?

UPDATE: Its official. Street Fighter V is coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 and PC, as the previously leaked and now official trailer above confirms. Sonys Adam Boyes noted on stage at PlayStation Experience that PS4 is the only console that SF5 will ever appear on.
It'd be surprising if the future Ultra version didn't end up on Xbox. Capcom loves money too much and given how well Killer Instinct is doing, there's clearly a fighting game fan base that spends money on fighting games on Xbox.

I'm expecting every iteration of SFV to be exclusive to PS4/PC, at least, if the announcement is to believed.
Will be playing the game on PC after it's $5 on Steam because of this. Would rather play this on Xbox One. I'm just a casual player anyway. I know it's a silly statement, but they already made clear they don't want my money (well, not this exactly, they just like Sony's money more).
Those are not the same. A better comparison would be Dead Rising 3 or Titanfall. There's no sign that either of those are ever going to be released on the PS4.
They must have paid a ton for this money hat if it really last forever, though. I wonder how much.

That's why we have a Titanfall GOTY on PS4, right?
Why is a Sony funded game going to PC?
Why is a Sony funded game going to PC?
Apparently the PC version is mostly aimed at emerging markets and Sony doesn't consider it a "threat" for the PS4 version. I wish everyone would believe thisWhy is a Sony funded game going to PC?

What's GaaS?Didn't they say there won't be any Super and Ultra versions, but they're taking the GaaS approach?

Maybe there's no sign because EA/Capcom feels it's more profitable to focus on the newer games than spend resources making a Dead Rising 3: Deaderer or Titanfall Complete Edition for PS4 which I see no reason can't happen.
When it comes to SFV which has far bigger name than DR or Titanfall, Capcom's chances of profitting from a SFV Special Edition for XB1 is far greater than DR3 or EA with Titanfall.

A rumor that popped up after the announcement claimed that they wouldn't be releasing Ultra or Super for SF5. They apparently want to move toward a single release that they continually upgrade like a MOBA. That rumor also stated that it was running on UE4, so that does lend some credibility to it.
It's why we have Titanfall 2 on PS4.
because pc and consoles have different markets, and people really think they reside in the same marketshare of the gaming populace. they don't. there is an overlap, sure. but there is a reason why ps4 can sell up to 20+ million and pcs are still as popular.
also, planetside 2 and dc universe and others i am probably missing.
I think Capcoms should take a page out of MK's book and just make sure the game is 100% finished and polished at launch with content.
Yeah, and thus AE, AE2012 and Ultra were both DLC, same for the SFxT revisionThat's exactly what they said last time.
SoE does not equal Playstation. Which is why SoE is no more and got sold off a few months ago.
This is a weird attitude to say Sony has when they have an indie game in the same situation, Everyone's Gone to the Rapture. If Sony has this attitude now, shouldn't that game be coming to PC again? It's partially funded and developed by Sony, just like Street Fighter.
I think Ono spoke about it. That without Sony funding the game it wouldn't happened.
