I don't understand why the patirots feel like they need to cheat when they're obviously a great team that can win without doing it.
You say Patriots, but Tom Brady and a couple low level personnel are the only people involved in this.

Cheating is cheating.
The hammer didn't come down hard enough, and there's no way that Tommy will be suspended four games after the appeal. As a Saints fan who lost his head coach for an entire season (of course the bounty system was inexcusable), a repeat offender of a franchise like the Patriots deserves so much worse. Fuck the Patriots.
Nobody has touched on this, but I'll say it again.
If the league knew about this before the game and allowed the balls to be deflated and destroy the integrity of the game, why didn't they prevent the Pats before the game started?
It's pretty insane that Payton was suspended an entire year even though the league said he took no part and had no knowledge of the program. As BountyGate, DeflateGate, SpyGate, and every other punishment under Goodell prove, the league make shit up as it goes along.
You say Patriots, but Tom Brady and a couple low level personnel are the only people involved in this.
I would take that stance if I was in your position too.
Fact is, league didn't like Broncos moving money around like they did. It was unconventional to do that and wasn't against any existing rules at the time, but the league saw it as an offense.
Wasn't cheating though, we weren't over the cap that year nor did it result in a competitive advantage or signing additional players. Teams do this on a regular basis now, converting roster bonuses into guarantees. I'm sure you knew that though.
Broncos won all those games and championships using regulation balls without cameras. Sorry.
Also we need to stop adding -gate to every scandal. It's lazy.
Because Goodell is a bitch who thinks problems go away if you ignore them long enough.Nobody has touched on this, but I'll say it again.

Of course not. Do you think coaches are directly shooting up their players? But you think coaches are shocked when a player is busted for PED use?
It's amazing seeing them all lined up like that. Why did Nixon's opponents have to stay in the Watergate Hotel!?
I'd say what the Broncos did was far worse. Being able to have additional players on payroll is a HUGE advantage. "Moving money around" like they did gave them an advantage. You're in denial.

That would be incredible, but, no. I don't believe that. I just believe that PED use is an organizational failing because the coaches either know what's going on or should know, and choose to look the other way.
Let me tell you a secret.
The NFL is full of superhumans who kick the shit out of each other.
Everyone is on PED's
They didn't have additional players on the roster, or higher priced players as a result.
The freed up Elway and Davis' salary by deferring the payment down the road with interest. In turn they used that money to fund the stadium which was getting ready to be built.
It didn't result in additional players, more salary cap room, or any advantage whatsoever.
I presented the facts to you. They got pegged for messing with players salaries to free up cash for a stadium. League didn't like it, and Broncos paid for it.
Not even in the same league as the offenses the Pats have been nailed for. Those altered the play on the field.
Yeah, I totally believe that's the case. There's like seven guys not on PEDs and they're all kickers. Doesn't excuse teams from being complicit in it, though.
I would bet that a lot of kickers are on PEDs too.
The league should be testing better. Not the coaches responsibility on a 53 man roster, that expectation is unrealistic.Yeah, I totally believe that's the case. There's like seven guys not on PEDs and they're all kickers. Doesn't excuse teams from being complicit in it, though.
RayRice.jpgThat doesn't make any sense.
If Goodell wanted it to go away he wouldn't have done a report... or set the sting operation.
Your logic is flawed.
I've presented the facts about Spygate many times, nobody seems to care other than "Cheating is cheating."
The NFL found the Broncos guilty of cheating the salary cap on their Superbowl run. I'm afraid the standards of this thread dictate that you must either vacate the win or put an asterisk of shame next to it.

I'll take your 4 Pats vacated titles for 2 Broncos vacated titles just fine.

As a Saints fan, I'm enjoying all these Patriots fans complaining of a witch hunt.
This whole thing is absurd, they proved nothing... they will probably win on appeal.. and Goddell is an idiot who cares too much about whatever ESPN and the media is selling.

While i think you have a point, is an organizational failure cheating? Brady and Belichick's action is different from the inaction you're referring to with PEDs.That would be incredible, but, no. Whereas some Patriots actually kill people.Stay out of this, your team tried to fucking kill people.

Fun fact, Brady's agent who's handling his appeal was(is?) also Sean Paytons agent during BountyGate.
