PlayStation E3 Experience 2015 Announced (Theaters)

Yeah, I remember that. Last year I came up with a friend from Cinci to see it and we grabbed some Raising Cane's prior to the event. While we both had a blast, it just comes down to the time of going.

And holy shit dude. That's quite the trip for you to come down from Toledo. Hopefully for the both of us it'll end up being closer to our respective homes.

RAISING CANE'S. That shit's my mana. You better believe I got some while I was down there.

It's a drive, no doubt, but I have six or seven really good friends who live down there so I try to visit a few times a year anyway. If I had nothing but this event it would be shitty, but I always manage to make the drive worth it. Plus...Raising Cane's.

EDIT:

Uhh, details? You can't just reference a juicy topic and leave it at that!

My lunch break is ending but I promise I'll come back to the thread in a few hours and tell the story. It's nothing crazy but it definitely made the Powers section less boring for all of us in the theater.

Phew, the one Kentucky theater is still a go. I'll be going just like I did last year. Hopefully it'll be more fun this year as I felt it was pretty boring last year. Maybe some will drop off that didn't enjoy it and more hype people will come in instead. I can hope at least.

Edit- Nevermind. Mistook some info on the front page of last years theaters being this years theaters.

Knowing that there are Sony employees roaming around this thread, all I ask is you make this conference better than last years. Like how you did it in 2009.

And show lots of exclusive games!
(Please show ratchet and clank, gravity rush 2, and Level 5's PS4 game. Fingers crossed for a dark chronicle 2/dark cloud 3)
I still find it amusing that the a large portion of the gaming media still said Microsoft 'won' 2009 E3 because of the Kinect headlined by the pre-recorded Milo demo.
That Uncharted 2 demo is probably my all-time E3 highlight.

Well, I think that might get trumped if we get a new Uncharted demo on stage at E3 this year. The PSX one they had is up there with best conference demos I can think of.

That's not quite working though, is it? The questions been asked are about the lack of first party AAA to match xbone. GamesTM has a two page feature on it this month.

For me, there's plenty to play, but these questions are been asked of them, and they need a solid answer.

Somebody grabbed the TV remote and tried to change channel. Brohei Broshida punched them out. Crowd went wild.

How do you know its the same theater? they haven't released a list yet.

Oops. I mistook Kriken's post on the first page as the blog post announcing the theaters instead of the blog post from last year.

Either way if they say this is in every state I would be surprised if they removed the theater in question for another one. I would hope at least.

In Kentucky as well. Where was it last year? Louisville? Hoping for Lexington this year.

Last year's conference was pretty good I thought, a solid 7/10. It's major problem were the pacing issues. The Sony folks in America should look to their brethren across the pond and try mimic the same structure that's adhered to during the Gamescom conferences. Jim Ryan and his guys have the right idea: they keep pumping out the game announcements one after another with very little bullshit involved inbetween, and they manage to cram it all into a shorter show as well.

I agree on your game choices, although I'd personally substitute DC for Ni no Kuni 2. Ratchet & Clank will be there no doubt, but it would be a dream to have GR2 and NnK2 in the same conference.

Went last year in Toronto and it was a blast. Hopefully it'll be just as easy to get tickets this year. I'm sure the site will crash next Wednesday with everyone trying to signup.

Hoping they pick the Quad Cities or Cedar Rapids for Iowa and not Des Moines. Even Nintendo knows better than to pick Des Moines for its Best Buy E3 thing.

I probably won't be able to go this time, unfortunately. I'll be bummed if they actually give out Street Fighter V beta codes or something.

I knew I shouldn't have read past the first post. Now I have expectations. SONY BETTER DELIVER THAT SFV BETA CODE LIKE THEY PROMISED.

I was at the Columbus show too (remember the fight that happened during Powers? Haha) and I had a five hour round trip from Toledo but I was able to get a couple days off work and visit some friends while I was down there which made it the highlight of a little mini vacation.

The only problem is I don't have anyone down there that would want to sit around and watch the rest of the conferences that morning instead of, sigh, actually doing stuff.

Lol that shit was like literarly 5-10 seats from me. Sad thing is I'm 90% sure drunk due and the guy he got in a fight with to start it went there together.

I went last year to Portland, OR's theater. I got an isle seat so I could book it the fuck outta there when it was over, but also so there would be less smelly nerds on my immediate flank.

What I remember most was people crying at the Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer before the damn thing even started.

The second most memorable part was me being the only one in the theater (or so it felt) who had any kind of reaction to the Mortal Kombat trailer.

Not my kind of gamers, I guess?

I'm in.
I had a fun time last year.
The atmosphere of the event definitely changes when you're in the midst of a congregation of fellow gamers.
That universal groan when the Triangle prompt popped up on the screen during that Order gameplay trailer.

If it comes back to ATL, I'll try to make it on time if there's gonna be another meetup. Felt too embarrassed to yell "Where is GAF sitting?" when I looked for a seat.

I'll be there again this year. Last year's experience was fantastic.

I don't know about your theater but there were some tense moments when the stream went down or was fucking up.

It was annoying and hilarious at the same time. We all were just hoping that it made it till the end.

this year, I might still get a ticket, but I might bail at the end and watch it at home..unless SCEA comes out publicly and says they have improved the feed.

edit- in San Francisco

Wait, was Kingdom Hearts III teased (again) at Sony's E3 press conference 2014? I must have totally forgotten about that. Or you're misremembering (I'm looking through the conference again)?

What surprised me the most in my theater were the people rejoicing when Miyazaki's name came up.

The KH3 trailer was before the event even started. It was like pre-show or something. They had quite a few other trailers as well.

Considering trying to round up some friends for this, but I fear it will be disappointing, and that will come back on me. :(

I wonder what the freebies will be. What are the odds of Geoff Keighley walking around and handing out free Geoff Keighley PlayStation 4 faceplates to people at the event?

I was at the KY one too, it was kinda sedate.
