Just the best

The hype being peddled for Microsoft at E3 is starting to become suffocating at this point imo. Only thing missing at this point is a resurgence for that rumour about them buying EA from a couple of years ago.

They didn't buy EA, but they did have deals regarding Madden, FIFA, Titanfall, Battlefield 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Peggle 2, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare and EA Access.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They don't have a deal for EA Access. Sony won't allow it on the PS4, so it became an exclusive feature for the Xbox One by default.

Funny saying that, but, Dragon Age: Inquisition sold more on PS4 than Xbox 1

How sure are you that there are no deals between EA and Microsoft regarding EA Access?
Yes Sony said no, but that won't stop Microsoft and EA for striking a deal regarding the service.

Which benefited EA more than MS.

That's why EA made those deals.

That dosen't change the fact that DLC releases first on Xbox.

You are right. Just change the fact they won't get money.
You can get the DLC first, but, if you don't have players... who will buy it?

Also, Battlefield Hardline is selling more on PS4 than Xbox One.

EA is getting the full benefits of this deal, and Microsoft is getting none.

A deal for what? EA Access is already on their platform and Sony doesn't want it on theirs.

Microsoft buying the exclusivety out right doesn't seem that crazy to me, and hey at least it would get the game out, but not for that kind of money.

People should really bring it down a few notches. The same exact thing happened last year and while the MS conference was good. It was nothing like people were expecting or what the insiders even said it was going to be.

I don't think MS conferences are the ones that get overhyped by insiders, personally.

Did I state that Microsoft financially benefited from the deals? I listed the deals because there was a silly rumor about Microsoft buying EA, a rumor I believe sparked from all the deals that Microsoft had with them.

Edit: Sony had marketing deal with Battlefield Hardline.

A deal for what? EA Access is already on their platform and Sony doesn't want it on theirs.

A better partnership? You can make deals even when a competing platform dosen't want the product.

I wanna make a Silent Hills rumor thread just for shit and giggles, but im like 100% certain ill get juniored.

Dude, don't waste your "member", I'm still wishing for mine.

Tried to just talk when I had something important to say, so I wasn't shitposting. Didn't workout.
Tried to post more things, and get some news on replies, so people could make threads about it. Didn't workout.

I had some good content to discuss with people, like when VR hate came and I defended it with big texts, but, couldn't create a thread to explain people they didn't have to hate it.

Well, now I'm posting as a common member and see where it will get me.

TL;DR: Don't **** up. I'm waiting YEARS to become a member (T-T)

Is there any chance of a Microsoft rep showing up during the Nintendo direct to announce Minecraft Wii U / New 3DS? It's already on everything else, and would be to the benefit of both companies.

Same with Sony and the Playstation Experience, there were so many rumours and a lot of hype for things that didn't come true...

Well, you just need 40 more posts :p

You can choose a community of your preference and just chat there.

I got like, 1200 posts in the Smash bros OTs lol

Idk if this counts as an E3 prediction, but Nintendo hits the world with a new Mario related game in the NWC finale.

As for the SH rumor, if that's true then MS would have to be the dumbest company in the world. Paying billions for a dying franchise in a dying genre? The only reason anyone cared about SH is because Kojima and friends had their hands on it.

Real talk, but it's because Microsoft doesn't have its own "The Last Guardian" which is the main catalyst for false hope and overhype for every Sony conference.

This is a fair point, but if you look at the insiders around Gaf, the people providing information we normal folk don't have access too, outside of ntkrnl (seemingly a one off) and Cboat (who generally sided with posting unflattering information rather than stuff that would generate hype), there are a lot more verified people know things about Sony and tease that, than people who tease Microsoft's games which is also a factor.

Even after TLG comes and goes (cancellation or announce and release) it will won't change so much, I don't think.

I don't think MS conferences are the ones that get overhyped by insiders, personally.

Last year it was something else. People were told to expect Megatons and it was hyped beyond belief. Meanwhile the Sony conference was downplayed. When the time came. the MS conference was good but everything was expected.

This year It's been relatively quiet all around. We know what to expect from EA, SE, Bethesda and Ubi. We have a general idea of what to expect from MS and Sony but as far as surprises it's been quiet and I like that. I think that means most will enjoy each conference if that go in not knowing what to expect.

It is?

It's crazy because Konami isn't looking to sell their IP's. Just today they issued a statement saying that they would continue making games in the Metal Gear and Silent Hill series.

A better partnership? You can make deals even when a competing platform dosen't want the product.

I guess so. But i'd imagine that EA has made sure to keep things open so that they can put it on the PS4 if Sony changes their mind. That's a huge pile of money for them if Sony changes their mind.

Last year it was something else. People were told to expect Megatons and it was hyped beyond belief. Meanwhile the Sony conference was downplayed. When the time came. the MS conference was good but everything was expected.

The only thing I remember people being hyped about was the third-party exclusive rumour, Tomb Raider was announced but not as an exclusive, which came at Gamescom.

Ntkrnl had already blown pretty much the entire conference except for Ori, the big announcements: Halo 5 Guardians, Forza Horizon 2 were made shortly before hand, and the rest, MCC, Crackdown, Scalebound were leaked.

Didn't leave much else to be hyped about, given Ntkrnl happened 5 months before E3

PSX on the other hand...

Well, another reason to consider is that Sony are far more likely to announce something they've funded or collaborated with developers in Japan (Capcom, Square-Enix etc), or just have better dev relations, especially this generation.

Also note that Microsoft 1st party studio names don't really generate as much excitement as say, Naughty Dog. Bungie used to do that, but they abandoned ship.

Did I state that Microsoft financially benefited from the deals? I listed the deals because there was a silly rumor about Microsoft buying EA, a rumor I believe sparked from all the deals that Microsoft had with them.

I will keep it clean and short so it doesn't become a stupid fight.

You stated Microsoft have a deal with a lot of games from EA.

I said that Dragon Age: Inquisition sold more on PS4 than on Xbox One, knowing about that deal.
It wasn't effective enough.
Or maybe it was and that's why Microsoft isn't in a worse situation? Don't know.

You answered me saying that doesn't change the fact they got the DLC first.

I've said it was ok, because even with that, they didn't got the sales.
Even for they other major games. And I said they were only beneficial for EA, not Microsoft.

I didn't say you mentioned it. I've made it clear, only this õ.o

Edit: To finish this, come here. Give me a handshake and let's have some beer. Or orange juice. I love orange juice.

Yep. That's why I don't understand when someone say's there won't be really surprises at MS's conference. When we don't really know anything about the projects we do know about. We don't know what Scalebound is. What Rare, TP, or PP games are.

I think it's my first time in this thread, I'm not sure. Lol. What conference has more hype, ms or Sony?
Also, what are the juicy rumors going around?

People should really bring it down a few notches. The same exact thing happened last year and while the MS conference was good. It was nothing like people were expecting or what the insiders even said it was going to be.

Happens every year with MS. They are gonna spend a few billion dollars and every third party game will be exclusive.

What if the money is exaggerated because MS bought all of the Konami gaming IPs? Read their letter

The Metal Gear and Silent Hill series, both beloved by countless fans around the globe, are also extremely important to Konami, but we are not currently at a stage where we can announce the path these future titles will take.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope EA does not fuck up Mirrors Edge 2, the first was a wonderful game and was so excited when they announced a new one. A simple decision EA has made in making NFS online only has killed my excitement for the game so quickly, here's to hoping they don't make such an idiotic decision with ME2. :/

The Silent Hill to MS rumour is ridiculous, reminds me of 2013 when basically any and every 3rd party game was going to be XB1 exclusive because MS had loadsamonay whereas Sony were struggling financially and paid PS4 engineers with self-esteem.
