Shockingly, like all early impressions, they're positive. Check the article to see some of the tweets about it

Jurassic World had its world premiere in Paris over the weekend. Even though director Colin Trevorrow said he probably wouldn’t be back as director for a potential sequel, the early buzz on Jurassic World after the premiere is that he did a fine job on the film.

Keep in mind that this is a premiere screening, so some of the audience may be high on the hype of the movie and the allure of the event. But some are also usually the biggest fans who are sometimes harder to impress, especially with a sequel to a modern classic like Jurassic Park. Even so, early reactions on Twitter seem to indicate that this is the best sequel in the franchise, and it’s finally a worthy follow-up to Steven Spielberg’s original.

And some second hand information :

“From what I understand, the movie certainly is very action heavy after the first 45min (for better or worse) but has a ton of charm, and is incredibly well put together. There aren’t any major surprises for those who followed the production closely, but again, 3 out of the 4 praised it as the best JP sequel by far.

That's not a high bar to clear.

None of these reactions are from professional reviewers... I'm optimistic on the film myself, but I'm taking these reactions with a grain of salt.

The Lost World is the only JP movie i enjoy.

Even if 4 out of 4 of "some guy's friends" had loved the film people here would still be skeptical, and trying to downplay any example of positive reactions.

This initial reactions are never a good indication.

Will wait for reviews. Nothing I've seen so far gives me any hope this will even be a mediocre film.

If it's JP3 mediocre, then that pretty much meets my expectations. That's said, I really want this to be significantly better than what I think it's gonna be.

Need to update the thread title

"Jurassic World currently at 75% on Bestjurassicparksequels.com"

Speaking of which, we need start thinking of OT titles.

My proposals
Normal:
Jurassic World |OT| Well, there it is.
" "| Genetically engineered theme park monsters
" "| Now with 100% less gymnastics and Tea Leoni

In case of rotten rating
Jurassic World |OT| That is one not really surprising pile of shit.
" "| And here I am, watching by myself. That's chaos theory.

never thought the lost world would get so much hate. I fucking love that movie. almost as much as the original.

on the other hand I really hate JP3.

Jurassic World |OT| 3 out of 4 kinda liked it

Ya think?

I just find myself rolling my eyes at these early twitter 'reviews' early entry + hype= gushing praise each and every time.

Some of the tweets I saw yesterday had me laughing.

Remember the gushing twitter reviews of Fast 7 and Age of Ultron?

It has a lot of "charm"?

I don't want Jurassic Park to have "charm". I associate that word with that defense of "What do you expect from a movie about ____?"

I expect a lot from Jurassic Park.

The GAF hate-on for Jurassic World continues.

We can only judge what we have seen. Nothing I've seen has convinced me it'll be anything more than forgettable summer fare. I will still see it opening weekend, and would like to be wrong.

Even if 4 out of 4 of "some guy's friends" had loved the film people here would still be skeptical, and trying to downplay any example of positive reactions.

I have friends who love every Transformers film. That doesn't mean that they're suddenly not incomprehensible garbage to me just because they make money or are somewhat popular.

The first 2/3 of The Lost World aren't too bad, although nowhere near the quality of the first. If they got rid of the mainland stuff and the whole forced father/daughter crap it would be infinitely improved.

I won't take credit for this (some other gaffer thought of it), and even though I am very optimistic for this movie, I really like:

Jurassic World |OT| You went and made a new JP? Probably not a good idea

(come and claim it, random gaffer)

Yup. I mean, this thread alone has people proclaiming they already KNOW the movie is going to be shit, so what can you do?

Desolation of Smaug *cough*

Quit harshing my buzz, bro.

I used to love TLW as a kid, even a bit more than JP1.

As I got older though, I found myself watching JP1 a helluva lot more than the second, and came to the realization it was the superior film. TLW, though I commend it for being rather darker than the first one, kinda went into too much generic action sequel territory for me. Not to say it's unenjoyable, it's just kind of "well okay" and doesn't really have the same sense of wonder either (which I guess was unavoidable).

I should mention that I do expect the film to be somewhat competent although not really that stellar.

The true turd of the summer will be Genisys.

the lost world is awesome

its full on goldblum and dinosaurs and the pacing is more dynamic

its a fun movie

youll bustas dont know fun

I kind of agree with this. Aside from the gymnastics thing, and part of the ending, it was just as good as the first film.

JP3 was hot garbage though, and I'd really be interested in hearing somebody make a good case for it.
