Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

Do you have time to play it? Then pick it up already! ;-)
I don't have time really. Wish I did. Just moved into a new house and have a baby on the way. Stocking up on cheap titles I don't feel bad about letting sit for a while before playing. But going to wait on Axiom Verge. Maybe next year. Maybe the year after.

Any good, cheap metroidvanias, twin stick shooters, or local co-op/competitive games right now? Overlooked or unique games you guys would recommend. As time goes on I find myself more attracted to these genres.

Or 3D platformers. That's an especially weak point on PC.

Ultratron is fun...but add to your wish list wait and for a lower price, it will probably drop more over the duration of the sale. I paid a buck a month ago on Bundlestars.

Of course it will, why would you think otherwise?

Easily top 3 games released this year.

Perfect gif... lol

Not a single drop now when I started a new game or reached lvl 10

Yeah, same thing here. The drops seem to be broken if you start too early. Maybe they only reset with the sales? Who knows.
What I'm doing right now is joining a friends game and opening a new one about half an hour before the reset. That way I get the cards and still quite a high level.

Lots of Metroidvanias/2D platformers

La-Mulana
Castle In The Darkness
Full Bore
Environmental Station Alpha
Shantae: Risky's Revenge Director's Cut
Valdis Story Abyssal City
Capsized
Apotheon
Xeodrifter

Not really the same thing, but if you want an awesome Mega Man-ish game, Rex Rocket is the way to go. Criminally overlooked.

I've seen mixed things about Apotheon and Xeodrifter in this thread, but they're both cheap enough to take a gamble on at this point. I'll probably get Xeodrifter if I can sell another card or something.

Y'all want to hear something crazy?

I've bought two games this summer sale. And I've actually started playing them!

I nearly bought a couple others like Child of Light and Grimrock II, but I know I wouldn't get around to them for a long while so valiantly resisted.

It's been a pretty good sale so far. Past couple ones had been very easy to resist buying anything. This one is properly testing my willpower.

You mean you can actually play games and not just collect them? That changes everything!

So I heard back from the Grey Goo developers about why the game crashes every time I launch it. I provided them with the crash log, a DXDiag file and an MSInfo file. The answer they came back with?......Reinstall your graphics drivers.

Lol, no. Every other game I own works fine except for this one. The problem is with the game, not my graphics drivers. Next thing you know, they'll be telling me to try unplugging and replugging my PC. I'm getting this game refunded.

Super Time Force Ultra is really good. Get it if you're on the fence. Played the intro stuff yesterday and really enjoyed it.

Did they change the milestone deals? I was going to pick up Shadows Heretic Kingdoms today when it went on sale, but it looks like they replaced it with Gas Guzzlers Extreme.

Are the hitman(older games) good? Not sure if I should get it.

If you don't have blood money, you need to get it. its the best of the series. Contracts is good but is kinda of weird. It could really use an HD remake.

As for Batman or Hitman, thats tough. Batman is probably better and more fun but Hitman has a special place in my heart.

Hitman collection, or batman trilogy?

Blood Money is considered to be the best game in the Hitman series by far, so it's generally recommended to start there.

Batman is up in the air depending on your taste, might as well just start at the first one and work up from there.

Is a Paradox account required for Cities: Skylines? Also, Steam is constantly reminding me that the game will ask for the key but I'm never prompted to insert it anywhere - is there anyway I can enter it in manually or just don't worry about the fact it's not bothering to ask me for it?

Don't worry. You only need the code to register in the dedicated Paradox forum for the game. If you don't want to use it, you don't need the code at all.
