Guys I'm not trying to shit on Sony's conference, I'm just genuinely asking where are the 3 notable game reveals that verendus talked about.

Either he's wrong on that particular point (he's correct on so many other things anyway), or like what we always hear, "stuff got moved out in the last minute."

There's always been murmurs about how TLG/Horizon could've been revealed last year, how Bloodborne was pushed to E3, etc. Seems reasonable to think it might had changed mid-way during planning stages.

It doesn't matter if it the game is by Sony or not, and I do not know how you cannot think the conference wasn't overly special even by people who prefer Xbox games to Sony. I think it was clear this conference was a special moment in gaming history, especially for this generation, as more and more AAA games have decreased and shifted to mobile. I think its impact is going to be felt and remembered for years to come and has set the tone for the remainder of the generation. Sony delivered shocking announcements after shocking announcements - The Last Guardian, Shenmue III, which is probably going to be the most funded game by the public ever, FFVII, a remake of arguably the best well known RPG of all time by the everyday person, DLNA release that is flexible to Street Fighter, the most recognizable fighting game in the world, to snatching Call of Duty away, the biggest console franchise ever. This conference was truly remarkable and special - a notable moment not only in console gaming but a celebration of console and a boost to its longevity. People cried.

bravo

This e3 is being incredible.

I though Microsoft's conference would be hard to top, Hololens was unreal, and they had some awesome exclusives, then came sony with the Jericho missiles... OMG.

I'm so happy to be alive right now.

Uncharted crashes, naughty dog actually playing it.

Is that a hint for Crash Bandicoot?

what I find interesting is that for months MS kept talking about how much they have for E3, so much they need a longer show, so much they are saving some for other conferences.

In the mean while Sony has been quiet. Maybe a "We have a few things to be revealed at E3" type comment, but no hyping the hype. So when, one after another they dropped gigatons it had much more effect.

MS had a great conference, but I had a "that was it" feeling after all the pre game hype.

Bloodborne says hi.

But okay, it is true it has been slow on the exclusives front. But i don't really think xbox ones line up is all that better. They are again falling back on the halo/gears/forza/fable quartet. There are maybe more exclusives this year, but nothing really standing out too. Don't get me wrong, i'll play halo 5 and tomb raider is day one, but can't shake the feeling it is so.... Safe?

With all the third party triple a's coming out i don't even mind that sony has been releasing it's big guns in spring. I'll have my hands full with mgsv, fallout 4, battlefront and others this holiday season anyway.

And no way xbox ones line up of 2016 can top last guardian, street fighter v, horizon, uncharted 4, ratchet, etc. Quantum break will be awesome, as will crackdown, but sony's 2016 seems packed to the brim.

Even if its too safe at least its a steady supply compared to what Sony is releasing with all of their first party studios that everybody keep swearing up and down this year is the year Sony has a blow out with all their first party studios games whereas Microsoft has just about brought it every year it seems like. We have 2 years of solid content coming from Microsoft versus the one year next year where Sony might have the edge.

What's amazing to me are all the announced exclusives Sony didn't talk about at E3:

The Witness
RIME
WiLD
Quantic Dream's project
The Tomorrow Children
Hot Shots Golf
Persona 5
What Remains of Edith Finch
Shadow of the Beast
Hunger

Then there are console (timed) exclusives like The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, The Talos Principle or SOMA that would've all deserved to be up there, too.

Just a show with all these games would've been great. Gaming is good, guys.

If you want to get down to list wars, the whole incomparable content argument isn't very strong.

Not saying MS has a weaker lineup compared to Sony, but if you list down all the exclusives, despite the perception that MS is 'killing it', the no.of games they have over the past 2 years... are about the same. =/

Holy fucking fuck, what a time to be a gamer.

MS had an amazing conference and then this happens. Hoping Nintendo brings in another stellar performance. We all win. This is fucking crazy.

FF7 is goat to me. Shit was/is special, going nuts right now.. Oh yeah Shenmue was super special to me too, I was day one on DC with it and Shenmue 2 on Xbox

Forza 6 will hold me over til then. I missed both live conferences due to my schedule :( fuck.

I lived vicariously through gafs reactions on the threads.

I hope that quite a few of those Indie games will be confirmed soon for this year. That and Persona 5 would make it a worthy 2015 in terms of exclusive for PS4 (and Bloodborne of course) still.

Dont forget about:

Hard to believe that Sony hasn't shown us none of these titles during E3:

- GT7
- TLOU 2
- New ND franchise
- God of War 4
- New Level 5 RPG
- Ratched & Clank

Sony surely has some of dem bullets left for the next 2-3 years.

Sony's E3 2016:
HL3
Agent
Crash

BELIEVE!™

Wow if Crash had to be announced today too... Sweet Jesus.

10/10 for me too, and I'm not even excited for TLG, Shenmue or FFVII. Horizon and Uncharted 4 stole the show for me and nothing will top this conference in terms of sheer hype and good gaming feels imo. :')

Dropping 3 (or 4, Horizon stole the show for me) megatons in a single conference.. makes you wonder what they have in store for Paris, TGS and Playstation Experience (GoW / GranTurismo?).

Another Sony hopes and dreams conference, where the titles, who are actually bold enough to show Gameplay and realistic to release in near future (or at all), get those to the side for the Hype-Machine.

The Last Guarding looked like a corpse brought on stage. Another Final Fantasy 7 trailer on a Playstation conference, hell they sill didn't finished there next Final Fantasy game, the milked the game already dry and Sony just paid money to some say "maybe" exclusive on PlayStation 4. Shenmue 3 is a company misusing Kickstarter. Fans take over the risk for Sony, while they make even more money with it. And even if it isn't them, publishing the game, they get the credits for "helping" the game to be founded. So it's Win-Win for Sony. The game doesn't even need to be good.

If nothing less, it's a great example of perfect marketing to a very specific target group. I'm just happy to know, that i still don't need a PS4 this year and there going to be some interesting PC-Games in the future.

Just wish Sony had more exclusive games this year. The amazing stuff is still a year away :(

Guess my XB1 will get a work out this year though. Great conferences from both, I give the edge to MS just because they have exclusives coming out this year.

There is no video game conference for at least the next five years that will generate this much hype. Only Half Life 3 is as big as any of the three megatons that dropped tonight, and I doubt even that could top FFVII: Remake.

EDIT: I need to get to sleep for work in the morning, but the hype is too much!

So you missed Horizon and UC4 gameplays? I'm sure Shenmue is already half funded seeing as they were only asking $2 mil on kickstarter (pretty low for such a game with that scope)

Sep : Tearaway Unfolded
Oct : Uncharted Collection, Dragon Quest Heroes, Tales of Zesteria
Nov : N/A

Undated 2015 : Rime, Shadow of the Beast, Alienation, No Man's Sky, Persona 5, Disgaea 5, EDF 4.1

Beyond No man's sky, not a lot of games that will turn peoples heads.

They will go into the holidays with a disadvantage in software to Microsoft again.

10/10

I was at the Atlanta theater, and had no reception, so I couldn't follow the GAF thread unfortunately, but wow. I'm still in shock over this conference. Dreams have literally come true tonight.

+ Aug: Until Dawn.

People need to stop acting like Sony has no gamez for the holiday season. They are gonna be fine.

I still can't believe what happened.... This conference... I mean... What?!

The Last Guardian - What the hell can I say. Lost my shit, even though it was heavily hinted by Gaf-insiders. Supreme. Glorious. Divine. Megaton. Also, loved that Shu shouted out Ueda with respect, despite their little falling out. Nothing but Class.

Horizon - Speechless. Finally creative freedom for GG to leave KZ behind. Day 1. Beautiful art direction (GG duh), supreme technical fidelity for open world no less, insane gameplay. Couple that with open world RPG, leveling, side-quests and the like...
Hoping they nail an epic story and character development, but I have faith with all the new talent they've hired (New Vegas story writer). Day 1.

dreams - I love Mm, but I'm a bit weary of the Art Direction on this one. Nonetheless, looks delightfully creative and different! Need some more info about the campaign and story of the game, but very cool that they showed off the breadth of what you can make: TPS, Shooter, Adventure, Melee, Zombies etc. Very excited what the community can make with this, seeing the insane stuff that came out of LBP 1, 2 and 3.

FF7 Remake - At this point I lost the little of my shit which I regained from TLG. Megaton no2 of the "once maybe every third E3"-variety. Bonkers. No words for this one.

Shenmue III - Megaton no3 of the "once every decade"-variety. Almost comically epic. Remember seeing Gaf-threads the night prior; where people were hyped about TLG, dismissive of FF7 Remake and flat out laughing at the notion of Shenmue 3. No words. All the shit had been lost for days to come. Also, If I've understood the deal correctly, its a Ps4 exclusive. If so, Ps4 home of the hardcore crowd confirmed for the end of the generation. Massive. Absolutely massive.

Uncharted 4 - Crazy that U4 isn't the most talked about Sony-game after E3, goes to show what a absolutely bananas this conference was. This demo alone (actually liked the technical f**k-ups, made it more real for me) would've put Sony level with MS. Beautiful graphics, massive open level design, amazing gunplay and movement, supreme voice-acting and once again industry-leading set-pieces. Uncharted 2 Demo level of amazing. Screenshots that were released today furthers the fact that Naughty Dog is undisputedly the best developer in the business today.

As I've said, this was the singe greatest conference I've ever seen. Legendary, we will probably never see a conference like this again. Too many perfectly aligned stars in the form of TLG, FF7 and Shenmue 3, that were brought to reality. Sony wins E3, momentum or whatever PR buzzword that is "in" right now. Insane....still can't believe it actually happened.
Perfect balance of everything: New IP, old IP, requested legend IP, Indies, New Tech....
10/10

I'm not a believer in the whole "hearts and minds" theory, but I think Sony could go into the holidays with Super Rub Dub 2 and come out just fine after what we saw today.

Also, Persona 5 is the only exclusive I need this year -- so many awesome looking multiplat games.

So you missed Horizon and UC4 gameplays? I'm sure Shenmue is already half funded seeing as they were only asking $2 mil on kickstarter (pretty low for such a game with that scope)
And you missed my first paragraph. Horizon should be the show stealer, since it actually looks like to be finished at sometime.

Just wish Sony had more exclusive games this year. The amazing stuff is still a year away :(

What are until dawn, tearaway unfolded, p5, etc?

Just finished watching the conference. Wow. Probably the best conference ever. It was just...wow.

The Last Guardian
Final Fantasy VII Remake
Shenmue 3

It's almost laughable. They've killed all future E3s. What am I to get excited for now? HL3? C'mon Sony.

In all SCE games, Verendus never listed SE. The only 2 publishers which Sony collaborated with are Capcom and Sega. Capcom was SFV, Sega we don't know yet.

Shenmue isn't published by Sony simply because they won't kickstart it and they'll fund it directly if they were the publisher.

Not my definition, it's verendus'. A notable game means a lot of people will talk about it. There is hardly any buzz around it now.

Verendus will not list everything. Where is the fun in that? If he listed 2 titles from SE, people probably would definitely guess FFVII with all the rumors going around the past months or so

And some1 have said, Sony is probably testing the water. And I don't believe they just invited Su on stage just to unveil a kickstarter. I mean, really?

If were simply talking about big budget games Microsoft i believe is killing it which is what games have been mostly mentioned.

I woke up expecting some news on that Bloodborne expansion :/

When they announced it was coming on twitter, I pushed the idea of it showing up at E3 out of my mind :(

But still, what a night. Both Sony and Microsoft had entertaining conferences.
